How did you know they were bandits ? Were there dead bodies around that they had killed or did you just assume this because you walked up on them and they tried to capture you. As far as them going prone in the field means that they thought they were hidden in the grass but really wasn't on your end .We all know that the game renders different for everyone so when people think they are hidden in the grass or shadows it could be a 50/50 chance that they really are. I like to call myself a survivor instead of a hero or bandit because at times you have to be both to stay alive. -

Me and my two buds call them GRUNTS from the old military slang for an infantryman. When one of us says we see a Grunt then we all know that they are in full military gear and are deadly.
