In a nutshell...this decribes every code worldwide.

Actually, NATO did sit down and tried to find a bullet that would make less devastating wounds. I did got the Convention wrong, I give you that, but it's been a while. But we were taught to shoot to injure, I am quite sure about that. Then again, we Germans are perverts in sex and war, you know that. Or maybe my instructors were idiots. ;-)

Of course, I did not say, the bows should be the omnipotent super-power weapon in the game. They just should not be underestimated. If you could not hunt and kill with bows and arrows, mankind would have stopped using them a long time ago. Weapons still need balancing. ...like our beloved late super power fireaxe :D

No, they are not. Something about the Geneva Conventions, if I remember correctly. And normally, in the military you are trained to hurt the opposite party, not to kill them, because one injured binds two other. (At least that's what we learned when I did service) You certainly could not do that if the bullets would blow giant holes in your target.

That is true. But most of the amunition in the game is military. And those are not made to kill but to injure people. Broadhead-barbed arrows on the other hand are made to kill other animals. And would be more common in such a rural environment as Chernarus (than sports gear i.e.). So shouldn't an injury by arrows in the game be more likely to be lethal than most of the gun shots?

What if it punctures your heart, your kidneys, your lungs? There are many more ways to be killed by a single arrow, especially if you pull it out and bleed to death. Unlike bullets, arrows shred things apart.

Missing stuff in backpack after log in
slider (DayZ) replied to slider (DayZ)'s topic in Troubleshooting
No, it was the first time. I searched the bug forum this morning didn't find anything similar. Maybe it is worth a report. But I sure hope it is not going to reproduce. ^^ Yes, it was a protector case with contents, a medic pack and sawed-off dinner bell (which still is there). I am not sure if there were 8 empty spaces, didn't count them exactly, but it were at least 8 spaces. You right, it was reorganised. The hand gun was in a different place and there were not any four connected squares. It's just that I ran around like that for a while now. Only change was that I changed servers the last few times, because my old server apparently was shut down. -
After login I checked my inventory just to see that half my stuff in my backpack is missing. It was a lot of good stuff, but before you start trolling. I am not complaining, I know it is Alpha.^^ I am just wondering if this is some kind of bug or if it could be that someone might have hacked my account. Has anyone have a similiar experience?

nice idea. would also be a great alternative if you have no compass. if this would work ingame, not sure about that.

Chernarus needs a theatre building + other building ideas.

The duke needs a red light bar! All hail the king! Really, come on, there is a shitload of military buildings. But besides the hooker zombies, there are no signs of a red light district. How realistic is that? Or did I miss something? -
Raw steaks will spawn? Will they at least spawn in refrigerators? ^^

could you be "a little more" specific about what and what for, please? the whole IT thingy is a really huge field, you know. you are looking for a dayz server admin, a web page admin, what languages are involved php, asp etc. etc. -
Welcome to dayz. My hardcore char has a broken leg for days now. I have been crawling around since then. The Z's at least don't give a shit about you if you're crawling. You can go up their ass like that. Maybe you want to try that ^^

Nice idea. Speaking of broken legs. Crawling up stairs or steps would be great too.
