You metered? Poor guy. I couldn't tell you exactly. I could measure data rates, but that's not really what you're asking. Judging by the log files I'd estimate 200-400MB range in 100~ hours of play. Your mileage will vary depending on server pop.

I used to have that issue. I sit still for a few minutes before I log off to give the hive time to play catchup. It seems to correct the problem.

Normal mode - people always play in 3rd person. Hardcore - people always play in 1st person. (They have no choice). Why not just switch hives rather than artificially restricting play?

Okay well failing that, the other posts suggest it has something to do with desync. I've seen recommendations such as joining a server with less than 20ms ping or greater than 1s ping, so try both. Or roll experimental. Or hardcore. Both are alternate hives. Or quit playing.

It should shave seconds off the initial load. That's it. Over time it could add up to a whole additional minute spent playing.

It's pretty well established that deleting your dayz profile will fix this bug, you'll have to search the forums for collaborating evidence as I'm too lazy to search the forums and bugtracker for the direct confirmations and I already know you aren't going to believe me cause this is dayz we're talking about.

I does kind of feel like the game is punishing you for it being unstable. Like, if the game is guaranteed to crash after about 20 minutes if you play on a server with a population higher than 0, why does it punish you for leaving the server after 20 minutes? You should get a reprieve if the game shits itself, and again, the failure rate is 100% if you make the mistake of approaching within 1km of another player.

Fat people are presumably already dead (they can't run very fast). There should be fat zombies though.

I know for a fact that this is a trollpasta. I rolled my hardcore hive character after .34 hit, and his Magpul handguard still fucks up. It's a bad texture, perhaps multiple. Causes a memleak for anyone exposed to it (less than 1km away from the shit item).
