Thank you Magnetic Toast This is my point we need a way to recognize players not from a distance of 1km but form across a field or over the street and only very subtle notifications. You notice the difference between your RL friends because of personality differences that cause things like walking style, posture, and gesturing aswell as speech patterns the list goes on these things you cannot notice in this game for obvious reasons and even if facial recognition is introduced you will only barely be able to tell the difference because of the restricted clothing options. that why you need to have an actual conversation with the person to mark them as a friendly not just see them sitting acroos the airfield in Balota and mark them off so you know where they are at all times that's not how my proposed system works

I never stated that thats the type of person you are in RL what i said was you are a masochist and a sociopath if the destruction of others just for personal enertainment is a key factor in your life I never said that rocket designed the game for the friendly play style only all i stated was that it was designed around co-operation whether that be between a group of murderous cretins or bambi survivors it still has core mechanics based on team work. And back on the other note you show me a single Stan Alone server with the ability to self bloodbag not the entire game is based around co-op just there are some CORE aspects of the game that are un achievable without a Teammate. ie: Blood bagging, Checking pulse, resuscitation and or de fib reviving, almost any part of the medical side of this game requires some sort of minimum co-operation and i know personally that surviving is not going to keep you alive by yourself i fell from a building in the first day of plying standalone and proceeded to crawl down the road for an honest 2-2 and a half hours until i was discovered by 3 complete random players all at different times who all helped best they could by collecting me sticks and rags to craft a splint all those thing i could not have done alone in my weakened condition because they found both items upstairs which is a serious challege for someone with broken legs those people where then all communicating and helping each other after my encounter Also i don't believe in abolishing KoS altogether it is a vital part of the game i only suggest that people find a better way to kill them i understand that this is peoples playstyle and mine is to stay hidden and not make interaction in the first place until i am sure they are safe as the example i gave before hunt them for a while watch their movements and judge accordingly what their punishment/reward should be. But my issue is that everyone i meet with gear seems to have it in their head that the other party wants to start the fire fight and so they try to be the instigator themselves which creates a vicious cycle of everyone shoot now and ask questions later at least in MOD you had the option of not requiring a team mate at any point if you chose the right server. I hav even had fresh spawns try to kill me when i offered them food and wate r what is the point of trying to pick a fight with someone who is fully geared has spare shit offers it to you in return for nothing. FREE. and they try to beat you to death while you wear a combat helmet and full military gear

yes i read the post and however i am playing in AU which makes the ratio of knobs to good players higher because there re always more arseholes than friends and there are way less people over here but thanks for tip might try hardcore once i see a few more additions to th game i really thought that adding berries and extra towns to stable would have held off some PvP but it seems to have increased since 3 weeks ago when i last played

You're not a bandit ou're a murderer banditry is a solid aspect of the game that i strongly believe in KoS is a cowardly way of communicating and i believe that you are wrong about the age restriction because when you went to download it initially it would have asked you for your date of birth and hence it said this is "age restricted content" also if you mnage to read the entire post i didn't say you were a child i said only 2 types of people KoS and they are people who had a very sad neglected childhood that turned them into sociopaths and knobs or children clearly you are the first making you a sociopathath and a sadist

I use to play experimental because everyone i met on there seemed to be reasonable interested in the game and its progression rather than PvP however recently have not been able to come across any experimental servers and so am forced to play with these circumstances instead

First of all BULLSHIT i have played hundreds of hours of mod and SA and still to this day have only killed 3 people i dont agree with kill and let kill concepts people need to realise that this game is fucking designed around co-operation there are things you cannot possibly do without a team mate amd every one seems to think that it owuld be the best idea to shoot someone in the god damn head as a fucking hello you know what why not follow ad see them first see if they can be trusted by watching their interactions with other players. Secondly you must have had a fucking horrible child hood if ruining a literal 29 hr job to gear up in les than .29 of a god damn second is what gets you hard some people have a fucking life and cant afford to sit on a game for 70000 hrs to be as good s most of the fucking bandits or simply put YOU ARE ACTUALLY A CHILD and therefore should not be playing this fucking game. I summary DayZ GO FUCK YOURSELF

That may be true however i added this to the suggestion page for that reason i'm not expecting this to happen instantly but would just like it to be assessed and maybe also implemented, It was not a complaint saying that i wont play unless you put this option in the game it was merely a simple suggestion.

Sorry mate but before i posted i searched over several posts that looked as thought hey had this suggestion and searched for multiple keywords relating to this and there wasn't any otherwise i would have just commented on that and bumped it back to the top however thanks for the support mate.

Man i really wish i ran into a real bandit i was on a server earlier today with one other god damn player looting Elektro Fire Station and some bastard thought it funny to server hop into the building and shoot me in the face when all i had was a damn back pack. 15 minutes of running from Solichny to Elektro to be KoS'd by some server hopping homo that couldnt be bothered robbing me in a creative way just shot me in the face took nothing from my lifeless corpse and continued along his merry way i would definitely rather be knocked out handcuffed and robbed poor than shot in any situation, Some people need to take a hard look at their perspective on co-operation because although in an apocalyptic scenario you could not trust anyone you also would not in real life shoot the only person you had seen in 225 sq KM without so much as saying hello first at least you wouldn't shoot them if they were un armed and you holding a pistol at them can anybody tell me what threat i could have possibly posed to this douche bag at such a high level that he had to shoot me on sight i don't understand why an wish that at some point i could meet someone that was interested in going cross country wiht me instead of crossing blades You may beat and rob them however shooting them would definitely not be at the top of the fucking list.

I voted Maybe but needs work, With no favorite class for these reasons. I don't think that you should have any choice of what skills you spawn with only those survival skills that you stumble across/Push to learn And they must be survival only based skills not combat or military based enhancements. Example: You hunt and kill an animal for the first time it runs off and you realize you're up wind so next time you could remember your failure and notice where you were standing and move around accordingly to be down wind instead. You cook a meal and burn it or under cook and become ill next time when you try it says "maybe i should leave it to cook a bit more" or something along those lines. I like the idea of classes and as others have mentioned not calling them classes but other things. But there cant be any way for any player to get an advantage in a combat situation this is difficult enough to deal with without someone who has spent 19 hours firing weapons and is therefore fully efficient with them firing at you. I really like the idea of learning things for yourself and possibly sometimes spawning with some basic civilian skills that cold assist you in the apocalypse and then learning a few more as you progress through time with all "skills" being lost upon death or some even forgotten or mixed up if knocked unconscious. But again i must stress that there can not be any way be a possibility to increase military efficiency in any way

I think we should be able to mark friendlies in the game if you meet someone you should be able to place a distinguishing marker on them to know they are your mate now I know I can see the comments already "that's not real" and so on and that maybe true but think about it in real life 15 people out a total 40 alive aren't dressed identically and the same height and weight are they so you can't recognize friend over stranger or even foe, everyone remembers what their friends look like and that shouldn't be any different just because people look the same . I'm not saying you need to add nameplates or anything maybe just a notification similar to the I feel hungry prompt something like " I have met this person before" or " I know this man/woman" but if course you would have to have actually met them in game and marked them as your friend or another known person. This would help stop team mates killing each other because instead of turning a corner to find a man raiding a body you turn the corner to a message on the screen saying your friend is close and there fore not shoot so often

I have to disagree on some of your points I like the idea of damaged weapons being nearly all you find and scarce ammo but basic survival needs like food and sodas although not hydrating.. Should be fairly common. You don't need to starve to death as soon as you start playing because ever house in a 9KM radius has been looted. I like the idea about rifles and high powered weapons being scarce and pistols revolvers being a bit more common but everyone needs a melee weapon you can't ask them to make those more rare most aren't effective yet anyway because the mechanics aren't quite right and you can't (unless you're really good) sneak up on many people and beat them over the head to rob them and even if you can most of the time they don't die just unconscious so you get rolled for all your shit wake up find a rag bandage up and play on

Base Building - What would you like to see?

I personally loved the idea of cabins and fully constructible buildings being in the finished product and for now would definitely be happy with boarding windows and doors or even just locking doors in houses that currently have functioning doors but I had a real issue with the timeframe at which your buildings would degrade in the mod, you had to build your structure over , a couple of days letting conctre/mortar set with cinder blocks and so on however this building would start to deteriorate after about 5-7 days even if logged out requiring an immense amount of supplies to keep up with maintenance resulting in your building and precious time and effort going to rubble literally. So if they were to add the ability for solid structure construction it wouldn't matter what they made it out of currently it would deteriorate so fast that they couldn't build 40 structures in an area spamming space because the upkeep would be too much, I think that you should be able to build solid structures that last for several weeks or even months at the expense of the building being completely destructible do several elements a storm or heat wave may cause damage to structures players could knock it down with sledge hammers hammers axes, crowbar could pry open doors/locks pipe wrench could break wood and glass, this would control the amount of structures that could be built although also encouraging trolling and raiding but would make it a little more realistic because let's face it your house doesn't fall down in a week if you don't go and get more bricks and foundation to hold it together but at the same time if a madman came to your front door with a sledge hammer I don't think your ,house couldnhold him out
