With the hotfixes coming out every few days currently it's hard for servers to keep up. Once the updates start to slow down a bit it will give the server owners time to update to the most current version.

It's fine to be angry, but not because you bought the game just for the mod. You have only yourself to blame for that. There are many guides out there to help you install the mod and the beta patch. I understand if your not a native English speaker and you may have difficulty in finding a guide in your native tongue, but that doesn't give you the right to call others nerds or freaks.

The bandit skin was taken out as it's unrealistic for people who kill to just suddenly have different clothes. The ones who used to get it with no murders are the ones who had low humanity and would thus keep spawning with it on. I've heard you can find it, but I've never found it nor seen another player with it on since it was taken out. It would be nice to have it back as a loot spawn though, but my Wookie suit works out better.

Mostly I just got to the few good loot spots on the out skirts then out and up north. The most rewarding thing for new players is the first day you spend alive.

You lose food and water levels even when offline. So next time just make sure you keep food and water in your pack to eat when you come back from being offline.

I killed a guy and found 11 axes and 13 crowbars with the slug ammo icon. I took nothing and hid the body.

So your plan is you make lumps of tin to throw at zombies? Good luck, also bullets need gunpowder (or what ever the equivalent is these days in modern ones) to shoot.

Just use the filter in the server list...

There is no way in hell this game is harder than Dwarffortress. After 2 years of playing DF I'm still finding out new things I didn't know before. After a week of playing DayZ I knew what I was doing and died less and less, now 3 weeks later I'm staying up in days not hours. Just play the game and get used to it and dying, it's how most of us got better. If your going to give up after one death then your not the type of player who's going to stick it out in this game.

Thanks for the reply to my issue. I managed to get it working and get beta to load, I have the beta version in the lower right hand corner when the game is open and beta listed under @DayZ in the upper right, but every time I tried to join a beta server It told me I had the wrong version or had the red "x" listed next to the servers name in the server listings. I'm sure there's nothing I missed, but I could be wrong. For reference, I followed the guide the dev posted to get it working.

So there are a few out there who still want to see this happen, unfortunately with the game as it is the current goal is impossible. What we want is not currently capable in the game as of yet and possibly wont be for a long while, So why not change the start up? It was suggested a few times that the trading post be a travelling trading group, possibly we should seriously consider this for now while we have a few people willing to work together. Pros- *Smaller team needed *Less likely to get griefed *Near impossible for bandits/griefers to log out/in on a server to attack the group from behind *The smaller team will get to know each other while working together and from this a larger group can be formed around it more easily in the future. Cons- *Less services available to others *Other large groups have a better chance at attacking and winning Vs setting up a fortified position *Isn't why most people are here in the first place

Yes I know about the camo and ghillie suit bug where you spawn in an ocean. But I've heard that it can be bypassed. Equipping each one and waiting 20+ minuets supposedly works most of the time, just want to get a few others here to say this works for them before I put on my ghillie Suit. Also is it worth storing it for 1.7.1? Just to make sure it's "fixed"? Thanks in advance.

Having more than just an intro would get people more interested in the first place. I'd make a video or two then come here to gain interest. Other than that, good luck on the venture.

I found the best way to learn about the game was to watch others letsplays. You quickly pick up tips from more experienced players. I had to wait 2 weeks till payday to buy the game so letsplays were the only way I could get DayZ fix in that time.

When trying to install the beta patch I get "ArmA 2 OA is not installed on your computer or instillation is corrupted"

TY for reply, I've heard the beta patch fixes it, but due to the low amount of servers using it (plus I play with a friend) I'd rather stay with what I have now until the 1.7.1 update.

For me I just double tap it to make sure I'm doing it right. You have to tap it RMB not hold it to bring up iron sights.

Don't be a dick and server hop to get loot spawns in rare locations. When joining a server and loot hasn't spawned around you it's because no one has been there for the loot to spawn. Just joining a server doesn't make loot spawn, you have to enter an area.

Honestly I think if people are to lazy to come to the forums to find out what's what and read input it's there own fault.

Well you don't have to memorize every weapon and vehicle that spawns ingame to know if you should have it or not, chances are if you find a weapon on the ground it's 99% likely to be one that's legitimately ingame as most people who hack in the weapons will likely pick them up to kill others. Just try to memorize (or write down) the weapons and vehicle names that are rare to very rare. If you come across a vehicle in game that has weapons (minus the 1H heli) it's hacked. Also if you find a good weapon on the floor that's not in a normal loot spot it's a good indicator that it's a suspicious weapon and should be looked into before taking. Just try and look at chat, if there's a hacker in a server chances are people in that server already know about it and are warning others about him/her. Just leave that server and go to another or just don't loot weapons your not 100% sure on when looting corpses.

Press the numpad enter, but it only works on servers that have it activated. Look for servers who have Regular listed or 3RD:1. There the ones who have it on.
