    Rain water collection

You don't even need some apparature to collect water. You can just wring wet clothes and drainw ater from them... ;)

    MORE FOOD!

Your problem will most likely go away when loot starts to spawn dynamically. For now, try not to stay at the coast but make your way inside Chernarus right at the beginning. Find a smaller village and you will be more likely to find lots of food.

    Radio and playing music

Hi guys! :) I have another idea, and even though I'm not sure if suggestions are even being recognized by the devs at the moment, I'd really like to share it with you. Maybe someone likes it and will remember it and we can bring it up again when the game has advanced. I'm one of those guys that actually likes listening to music while playing. Not like pop music, but real "classic" music that fits the settings. Not too loud, you still need to be able to focus on environment noises, but "in the background". Now as you might have noticed, there are radios in some of the lootable homes and houses. I'm not talking about radio-telephones or Walkie-Talkies, but Radios to play music, those ones: I thought it might be a good idea to turn those radios in lootable items (4x4 Slots?). You then can combine the radio Item with a battery to make it work (same as the defibrillator). Now obviously there won't be any radio stations playing, since everyone is dead. :o But there is a simple solution: Casettes. We already have over 150 public domain books in game, there is also plenty of public domain music available. One could select a couple of tracks that fit the setting (classic rock, country, maybe folk, "campfire-guitar-music"?) and add casettes with them. If a player has the 3 items (radio + battery + casette) he can combine them and turn the radio on and off from the inventory. He can also drop the playing radio or carry it around with him while turned on. Other players would of cause be able to hear the music around you when you have a running radio in your bagpack. Just remember how scary it would be to enter a home and you find a radio playing music there - and you know there must have been a survivor here not too long ago? Also, you could take out the radio if you and your group stay at one spot for a while. The scenario: You just returned to your camp from a hunting trip in the north, bagpacks full of raw meat. One of you prepares a campfire to cook the meat and one takes out the radio and you can relax and listen to something while you celebrate your happy return? What do you think? :)

And I though I'd just come up with a brilliant new diea... :/ Can't wait!

    Radiation zone

But there could have been a nuclear powerplant that broke down when the crew died. I think it could make a nice end game challenge, to find gear that makes it possible to loot the remains. Yet somehow stealing the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. scenario...?

I only want to play with rain, solution ?

Finally! Someone who is not whining around that rains causes FPS drops! I really like rain myself... I would play way more with rain! :D

    Hide Interface/Toolbar

Ok, this is more a simple question but a real suggestion. I like enjoy the environment without any UI/Interface and to take screenshots and do a lot with ingame video footage. However, the "Quickslot bar" or "toolbar" or whatever this thing at the bottom of the screen is called is somehow going on my nerves as it is rather ugly. And I know the key bindings anyways as I always use the same... 1 Axe, 2 maingun, 3 pistol, 0 Compass. After not having used an item for some time the toolbar fades away but it is annoying to wait for it to vanish. Now is there an Option to completly turn off or hide the toolbar? If not that would a nice addition in the options and a real gift to all artists around. :)

    Hide Interface/Toolbar

Yeah. It would be completly sufficient to see the slots when the inventory is opened. No need to show it all the time.

    Immersive Map Features And Structures

Great suggestion. Bags with dead bodies, massgraves, signs of military and government fighting the disease... we definitly need this.

    Hide Interface/Toolbar

Ah, thank you. I needed to play around a little bit since my keyboard settings was german but I finally found it. So in case anyone else has the problem: Keyboard Settings to EN (US) and then it's the key in the upper left corner right below ESC (" ^ "). Would still be nice to have it bindable in the options. Thank you guys!

    The Future Of Chernarus

I'd like to have some kind of Archievement system as soon as the major bugs are fixed. - Kill 10/100/1000 Zombies with one char - Walk 10/100/250km with one char - Find every gun available in game - Rescue an unconscious player - Fix 20 broken legs - Equip a gas mask - Visit all airports - Collect all 150 books ...and so on. It could give players a lot to do and would also prevent the KoS mentality a little bit. 21. Archievements

    Sleeping and infinite running

The ting is... enough is enough. Some things might be fun, but let's not try to do too much realism. But in case sleeping gets added, I have a few suggestions myself: You need to brush your teeth regularly (otherwise you get sick)You need to take a bath in a lake at least every 3rd day (reduces likelyhood of diseases)You need to cut your fingernails at least once a week (or you can't grab a weapon)A big sexual intercouse system, including same sex action and masturbating (chars not having sex get in a bad mood)See where this is going? To much of this "realism" will create a quite weird SIMS game for adult men... :D

    SA-Suggestion: Introduction of Microskills

Generally I like to read suggestions like this one, because I think some kind of skill system could make the game a lot better. However, it needs to be balanced very, very carefully. All skills need to have the same "weight". From the moment where one skills is perceived to perform "overpowered" it will break the whole system because everyone will play that skill only. You should at all times be able to play the game alone. Which means there shouldn't be "skill-exclusive" activitys, but skills should at most speed up/enhance existing abilitys.Skills should not impact PvP, which means no Skills à la "more steady aim", "faster reload", "higher accuracy", etc.The task is, to avoide a "WoW"-like gameplay, where you: at some point become invincible for new players the more skills you have at some point need a group because you can't play the game alone any longer
  15. Yeah, same here. Eventually they fixed the axe, it's not playing gunshots sounds any longer if you hit a wall. But as you said, sometimes Guns do not make any sound. One Moment I hear them very clear and can count shots, the enxt Moment my freind claims via TS that there were more shots and I hear nothing but singing birds...

    Sleeping and infinite running

I just hope if there really is a Stima system in the works, the system will calculate the weight of items. So you can actually run longer and/or faster if you choose to use a smaller bagpack and carry less items with you. Also, eating and dringking should have a signifikant impact on stamina. You shouldn't be able to run topspeed if you are really full/"Stuffed". And it would make sense to add items like Energy Drinks to push Stamina for a short time.

    Shoe sizes and clothing sizes

As some people already said: This makes no sense as long as there aren't closets with MANY more clothing items in every house...
  18. DerDuderich

    Sleeping and infinite running

And exactly THIS is why the "super-realism"-faction should not be listened to. It's this kind of "hardcore simulation"-freaks that like to play Microsoft Airplane Simulator and do nothing for 10 hours while autopilot flies from Moscow to Shanghai. Its the same guys that would like to see sleeping and watching their char do nothing for 10 hours. THIS IS A GAME AND WILL STAY A GAME No sleeping is fine and the running speed is also fine. Nobody wants to need 5 hours to walk from Elektro to Cherno, no matter if it's realistic or not. At this point I always like to quote World of Tanks Developer SerB: "Want realism? Join the army!"... in this case: Want realism? Grab a gun and head to Chernobyl avacuation zone... :)

Vehicles: Common bicycles / Capture able Trains

I think trains won't work as they need quite a lot of infrastructure. It's one thing to fix a broken car, but a whole other to fix a broken train. And not only the trains itself, what about the rails... they need constant care or they will break and there will be trees over them. Even though it might be a fun feature, Realism crys "Noooooooooooooooooooo!"...

    Damn that Topolka dam...

I wouldn't worry about such details in mapdesign. Just check out how much better the new city of Svetlojarsk is designed compared to the cities copied from the Mod. The map editors did a really great job there and i'm positive a lot of the old lcoations will change for the better along the way.

    TENTS

I agree with this. Even tho the game is real fun already, it somehow lacks a "final activity" compared to the mod. Basically you start at the beach and make your way to one of the airports. Then you keep going to military bases until you have the biggest bakpack and a badass outfit. Then? Lurking around, reading books and PvPing. The sooner the better we need one of the following things: Some kind of ranking or scoreboard ("hours survived", "Zeds killed", "Players murderer", etc.)Some kind of possibility to store loot somewhere else then at your character (and save it over server restarts)Some kind of archivements ("Find all 150 books", "Find 20 abandoned busses", "Walk 100km with one Char", etc.)

This is the best new game I've played in a year.

Agreed, not sufe if it's a good idea to bring the CoD kiddiez tho :P
  23. I've played for about 20hours now and I only broke my leg once - and that was in combat. Srsly, just stay away from ladders and be a little bit careful. Are you sure it's not a problem connected with something local clientside, e.g. packet loss due to poor internet connection?

"Useless Items" - an authentic world

Hey :) I just wanted to say how much I apprechiate the new Item "Childrens School Bagpack". Even though it's kinda useless because it's so small and you can find better and bigger Bagpacks easily, it somehow makes the whole world "more real". There once WERE children, so it makes the world more authentic and real if you can find their stuff, too. I hope somebody from the team has the time to read this. I really, really like how you add those little things before big, 40 Space military bagpacks or even more guns and weapons. You literally made my day when I found it today, keep up the good work! In order to make the world even more authentic, I would love to see even more "useless" items like this in game. What about toys? There could be puppets or stuffed animals that spawn in homes. They have absolutely no use, except you can maybe look at them. But they make the world more real. How about you add some baby or childrens clothes? Nobody could wear them, but you can make rags from them? As for food: I really like the cereals, too, what about chocolate and lollipops or other candy? They can literally never expire, I'm sure one would find some. And there are tousand public domain comic books, too, so why are there only "high end" literature books in game? A toothbrush, an alarmclock! You know what I mean? All day items... create a living world! tl;dr: Add more "all day life"-items like the childrens school bagpack to make the world feel more "alive"! :)

"Useless Items" - an authentic world

I just thought it would also be nice to have photographs and letters. They would have no use (except for making fire maybe?), but you could look at them and read them same as books.
