There are many people already running semi-private servers, but instead of password protecting their server since this will result in their server getting banned, they instead ask all theirs buddies to run certain [tags] or clan tags in their character name and immediately kick anyone that joins the server and doesn't have it. I get kicked from at least 2 servers a night. Heck last night I joined 3 different servers and each one as soon as I spawned in, kicked me, no reason just kicked.

It's a good thing I have a pristine pare of theseDayz is without a doubt the most realistic ultimate hiking simulator on the market :) . With all the (w) pushing I do it sure would be nice if you could setup a toggle key so you could at least auto run. I don't think I have ever spent as much time consistently pressing the (w) as I have in DayZ :) still love the game though. Another thing that would be nice is "stats" it would be cool to see how many days old your character is and how many miles /km the character has traveled, rounds fired, bandages used, cans eaten etc.

yep, you know that they say "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" it would be great if they implemented something like that.

Wo fellas, man you guys love to jump on folks, not complaining at all just suggesting :) Like you Enforcer I play multiple games as well and of course use the (w) key. I guess the difference is the constant holding down for 10, 20, 30 minutes depending on where you are running. I did a run from the coast to NW airfield a few days ago and it was a full 25-30 minutes of actually having to change fingers lol because it was starting to get to me. I think Dayz is the only game I own where I can in one setting consistently hold down a key for an extended period is all I was saying. Still fun nevertheless.

Yea took me awhile to find one as well, but when I did, I hung on to it for dear life. It took me another 2 weeks to find a Mosin to put it on.

Well there I was running through the woods heading north to meet my buddy at the NW airfield. As I was getting into the area as I usually do I scan around with my ALT key and this is when I saw some movement to my 2 O'clock. I immediately stopped, grabbed a knee. At this same moment my buddy screames over the team-speak, fuck they got me cornered. At the same time I pulled out my mosin and zoomed in; at about 200meters I could see 2 guys with their guns pointed in the direction of someone that I couldn't see. All I could think is that it must be my buddy just out of view range behind a tree that they are pointed at. I knew my buddy didn't have a cowboy hat on and these two guys did so I carefully took aim. The primary target was the guy on the left, quickly I confirmed my zero, set for 200 "check", I squeezed the trigger and I gleefully saw the report of blood splattered from his head as he dropped, I then chambered a second round, it's only been a fraction of a second and the other bandit didn't have time to react yet so I took aim and down he went head shot number 2. Man what an exhilarating experience. These guys thought they had a guy cornered and could screw with him. When we looted these blokes they had disinfectant, rotten food and handcuffs so we're pretty sure they were up to no good. If anything this experience will teach them, remember even if you have the drop on someone to keep up your situational awareness, you just never know if someone is alone or not. At the end my buddy was like yea they had the drop on me and I couldn't decide if I wanted to fight or surrender, you saved me man "Thanks Buddy!" and in the end because of the way DayZ is and that you only have one life his thanks really meant something and made my day! haha no problem buddy, glade to lend a hand. My thoughts are you might of gotten one of them but not both and you more than likely wouldn't have lived through the ordeal but nevertheless here nor there we made it another day in DayZ and that's what matters lol.

Well since the latest patch. I seem to all of a sudden have a problem with rubberbanding and not for my charecter but for fellow players that are with me. One minute they are behind me then all of a sudden I see a ghost image go past me, I ask hey are you still behind me and they say yea I can see you right behind you. However when I look noone is there 20-30 seconds go by and all of a sudden they appear. This is a new issue only since the last patch. I am getting 70+ frames a minute so I don't believe it's any graphic lagg. Anyone have similar issues and have any fixes?

that sucks...... I have died more times in DayZ falling off of roofs, ladders and stairs more than from anything else. Sure hope this is fixed in the future.

If you want sleeping, the game for you is Rust...... you may not want sleeping though, as in Rust if you don't have a secure base you pretty much won't live through the night because people will kill you and steel all of your stuff while you sleep. I'm glade I don't have to worry about my charecter in DayZ while I am away, it is quite agrivateing in Rust you spend a week to buld up your base and supplies to login the next day and your walls have been blown down by c4 and you charecter is dead and you have to start all over from scratch.
