    I dunno how this is happening to all you guys, but the SKS is as accurate as always for me! The only problem I have is the unrealistic PU scope which doesn't have it's true zoom.

    I guess I was wrong, it is a MICH. So I guess a PASGT would be better but I highly doubt we will get it as we already have the MICH. I would also much like to see the CDF equipment first, then followed by either VDV or normal russian troops equipment. The russian equipment should look like this: This would be an accurate represntation of russian troops about the time of the invasion, a bit before digi flora and Ratnik but after the VSR and ssh-68 stuff which was only used for a couple of years after the USSR.

    No... Just no Ak 21's... The invasion took place way before the AK-12 has even been considered for adoption, even today the official sign is the AK-12 isn't even part of state trials for the Ratnik system. The most modern russian arm should be the AK-74m. Also the gas mask is perfectly fine, it's a slightly modified czech m10m gas mask, at least it is better than BF3's russian engineer wearing a US gas mask... But I agree they need more eastern technology, hell why are they adding a Ak-74m before a AKM or normal AK-74? AKM would be easier as we already have it's ammo in game and it would 100% be in Chernarus, and the AK-74 would be better as the CDF uses it as it's standard firearm! I just hope they add these before more M16's and M14's... PS a ssh-68 would be cool too

  6. The Saiga M's I suggested are very very very similar, based on the AK but semi auto and look very much the same but unfortunately a lot of people still voted no for some reason despite the fact it isn't a military rifle which everyone says we shouldn't have too many of
  7. Indeed it Chernarus is based on that place, but in game the country is set where the previous poster showed. The apartment buildings fit perfectly, as I said before it was part of the soviet union and they even had apartment buildings nearly that big before WW2 (Just look a Pavlov's house etc.) Also bear in mind the Dayz map of 'Chernarus' is only a small part of the country 'Chernarus' and in fact the main capital is way further west, so a power station could fit as it would provide power to the whole of the country, not just the area we have in the map.

Im all for a nucleur powerplant after all Chernarus was part of the soviet union, the powerplant would of very likely of been made during the times of the USSR and therefore was left there when it was dissolved. So im all for this idea, hell I would even like to make it somewhere which I just stay at forever, constantly wandering the lonely corridors...

    AK-74M?!

    I hope the AKM comes first, just for the sake that it is easier to get into game (no new ammo) and fits a gap not filled (we already have a small calibre 5-6mm automatic weapon, we need a 7.62 fully automatic weapon now!) and it just feels neater and older and looks like it fits in more with that wood. I want my AKM!

    Remove guns from the game.

    Yeah getting ris of guns is pretty unrealistic, honestly considering im intrested in firearms in life I would be biased, but guns aren't really a problem for me at least, of course everyone is complaining "Oh no not KOS Kiddies!" But you don't want to be KOS? join a low pop server or just go to a town inland because they are deserted. Hopefully as soon as zombies are made more common (zombie hoardes please!) and dangerous and maybe have some sort of reward by killing them then people will concentrate less on killing others because they will have something to do. ATM as it is an Alpha, Dayz is empty so shooting people is to be expected, if I played Dayz and had no firearms and everyone was nice and didn't try to kill me I would be bored as hell as the zombies pose no threat so guns aren't the problem, the fact it is an alpha is a problem so just wait and im sure (unfortunately for some) guns will become less common and KOS also less common.

    500 guns! Surely not, that is more guns than pretty much every other game other than maybe 7.62, hell that is probably even more than all the Arma 2 mod guns as well! I think this must be a type, at most their should be only really 50 guns. But on the topic I have no trouble with guns, because at the moment if I just want to survive from zombies I just go to one of the towns in land and just camp it out there, no players at all just zombies. But I understand why people kill other people, it's because theres not much else to do, zombies are no threat you can out run them, one hit kill them and they lack the numbers to force people to use firearms on them.

    SKS attatchments

    More SKS attatchments! Many things for the SKS have been kinda left out, and some of these change how good the gun is as well. 1. Mags! SKS mags should be added, these are mags which are made to replace the non-detatchable ones, these come in 20 and 30 round versions. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/1116427053/tapco-magazine-sks-762x39mm-russian-20-round-polymer In order to use them there could be two ways depending on what the devs wanted. first way is to simply detatch built in mag and then attatch the better mags like you do in a m4 when reloading. Or two you have to use a screwdriver on the SKS, removing the built in mag, then you can reload with detatchable mags but it means you cannot use rounds without the mag or stripper clips. 2. Tapco polymer and railed stocks. Yes I hate polymer stocks on russian wood furniture guns, but whats wrong with adding more customizability? The polymer could increase manouvrability for more recoil (less weight) and the railed one gives you the ability to put on a bipod, or long range scope. 3. SKS hunting stocks, basically a different wood stock for the SKS: http://www.tickbitesupply.com/stocks.html 4. Barrel launched grenades. rare but incrediably useful in killing campers, can only be found on airfields / military bases and in-order to use one you must empty the gun, get the blank catridge which is found on it's own (can be used to scare people) load the blank cartridge and then load the grenade then you can fire, that way it's balanced (a long time to get to work = only really useful against campers) 5. Coloured foresights, current in-game ones are black and hard to use at night, coloured ones aid visibility and make aiming easier. http://www.tapco.com/products/sks/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=35 I hope they add a similar amount of attatchments to the ruger 10/22 and Ak-74m (Ak74m-Ak-74 wood-Ugly railed ak-74), if not I will have to make moar threads!

    Well personnally I only would like the Tapco stock because it would give the SKS more variety and ability, I personaly prefer the SKS in wood and if they fixed the PU scope then I would never use the tapco stock. But yes of course it would be hard to find, but then again so would an M4, let alone magpul stuff! Because at the moment I would like to have more attatchments to use or at least find, so say I manage to get some friends to buy Dayz and now instead of sniping I can go into to towns more safely, then I can spend some hours finding a tapco stock and a Aimpoint to maximise my survivabilty in towns against the evil M4 users! Oh yeah and PU scope needs a fix, ATM it's barely a sniper scope (1.5 or 2x zoom depending on sources! It's hard enough to use because of the lack of real zeroing on the scope and that it is WW2 era so the crosshairs aren't the best, but 1.5x zoom!) So as long as they fix that then I probably won't need the Tapco stock, just the mags which would be nice and balanced and would be probably easierly found as you can also make them from scratch if you have the skills (seen AK mags converted for SKS use)

    What is up with people and COD? This is noooo way close to COD in terms of the gun battles and how the firearms feel, the only game I have had come close to this level of realism and feeling in gun battles is BF2:PR and Arma 3

  22. "Weapons: Long-range scope reticle properly centered" WHY NO PU SCOPE FIX? (1.5x-2.0x instead of 3.5x zoom!) It's needed as long range scopes are hugely hard to find meaning the easiest to get sniper is the M4! Not the SKS or Mosin as they only have a 1.5 zoom! Which is unrealistic and considering the scope is hard to use already (not much zeroing options and massive reticule) it needs the zoom buff!

    What to do when I first spawn...

    Go to electro or berezino if server is low pop, else skip electro go straight to the prison+school+office+hospital at chapaevsk and then go straight to pavlovo, all gear, less chance of death than at Balota, and that will take you a while and then you can either head north to the smaller military base near NWAF.
