It's funny you posted the idea of the megaphone. I actually spoke to a friend about this also. I thought it would be extremely useful before entering an airfield or other dangerous area. For example, I'd like to be able to yell at the person on top of the tower at the airfield to put their arms up or something before I entered the structure. This would let them know that I see them as a threat and am suspecting them of sniping.

Let me just say that I think the idea of lowering the spawn rate of military weapons is a GREAT idea, and I like the idea of the compound bow and any other improvised weapon of the sort, especially if it takes multiple pieces to craft it. HOWEVER, I don't like the idea of all of the fancy shmancy attachments. Additional compound bow parts such as a simple quiver and a stabilizer would be sufficient.

I get the point that is being made that it would be realistic to be able to pack your M4 away, but you have to consider that one of the best parts about this game is being restricted in what you can carry. Even though you can carry TONS of stuff unrealistically (i.e. - multiple ammo cans), I like the idea of leveling the playing field with only one primary weapon; two, if someone wants to carry it in-hand. Everyone in the server having an M4 wouldn't be very appealing to me. Just my opinion.

My Achievement Idea - But will achievements happen?
KT_Cobra replied to TreadShadow's topic in Suggestions
First off, let me just give my opinion: I don't want to see achievments, but if they feel as though they NEED to add them, I think a limit of about five or eight achievements that pertained to people reaching a certain amount of run distance or life length would be fine. None of this "kill ten players with alcohol tinctures" kind of thing. In response to your post, Shadow, I believe that would encourage people to stay alive, but keep in mind, that would also encourage people to shoot on site - I'm, of course, talking about jerks playing the game. -
I like this idea if it meant that the game would have different weather extremes (snow, torrential downpour, etc.)

I was wondering if this would be a possibility to implement later on when we have a much more stable build of the game. Possibly when dead bodies lie around longer. The idea: The dead bodies of human players found in the streets (or anywhere on the map) can be examined by other players to determine their time of death and even the cause of it (i.e. gunshot wound, zombie attack, trauma from a high fall, etc.). This would obviously give players an idea of the threat in their area. I understand that realistically not everyone is a forensics pathologist, but having the body inspection process be a way to receive crude and brief information enough to evaluate the threat, could be useful. What do y'all think?

Examining a dead body - estimating its time/cause of death
KT_Cobra replied to KT_Cobra's topic in Suggestions
Thanks for the feedback, guys. As state above, it wouldn't have to be advanced in information about the body. Cold v/s warm, bullet holes v/s bite marks, etc. would be great. After all, if I were planning on staying a while to ransack a good bit of a town or city, I would definitely take the little bit of time to check a dead body to give myself or my buddies a heads-up to the possible increased danger level. -
Using the "butt" of guns for Melee (or bayonets)
KT_Cobra replied to Dkmode (DayZ)'s topic in Suggestions
I like the idea of being able to use the butt of my gun. However, I think it should be very low damage to zombies. The reason for this is to force a player to carry a melee weapon particularly FOR zombies and not giving the player "awesomeness" on both spectrums with the gun. -
[Suggestion] Land/Air Vehicles wanted in the SA!?
KT_Cobra replied to xxsheepdoggxx's topic in Suggestions
I'd really like to see very BASIC vehicles in the game. What I mean by this is, nothing better than a jeep for ground movement, nothing better than a dingy for water movement, and honestly, in my opinion, absolutely no air vehicles. Should there be bicycles? - sure. That's a great vehicle to have during the apocalypse, but anything that holds a HUGE advantage over a survivor who has a gun and can defend him/herself but is still worthless because of some stupidly decked out or fast moving vehicle would ruin the "desperate survival" aspect of the game. Again, in my personal opinion, it would cause the game to go from having someone think out every move carefully to the thought of "GET TO THE CHOPPA" constantly.
