You've gotta be super accurate with those hits. I can hit them nearly every time now, but you've gotta lead the target and be super accurate, that's what I've found. I took on 4 at once in Elektro and managed to get out of it without bleeding, I did get hit once when I got impatient. I've been using a pristine garden hoe lately.

The gear disappearing when in water for a while is a known bug. You've gotta get your head above water, look up if you can. I once had it blinking glitching which sorta sounds like what you have, I think it was very cloudy and possibly night out. I logged out and back into a server where it was about noon (daytime) and it had gone away. Survive!

I'm noticing more hoppers, and slightly greater numbers maybe. Can't speak to respawn rate though.

Yep, they're back. Found a pair in one of the fire stations in Elektro. I missed them!

This is just another fishing tactic. Set bait, and wait. It's the same as placing gear in the road, or cuffing a bambi and leaving them in the road, etc. All of those situations should scream either "approach with caution" or "stay away something smells fishy".

I've never seen it on stable before today.

I had this happen 3x in a row. Log in - server reboots. Log in - server reboots. Log in - server reboots. It's bad enough I'm hoping they do an emergency patch of some sort.

Trying to figure out if I'm in the twilight zone tonight or what happened. Tried to keep the story short... So I'm in Elektro on a roof top with a mosin scoping things out, when I get shot at maybe 3x. At least one shot hits me, my screen goes very grey, but I'm not bleeding and still alive. I go prone and eat some food when - wouldn't you know it, DayZ crashes. Like, completely crashes. This happens every so often for me, and I've reported it. Ok, well - I figure there's a chance I'll come out of this. So I fire DayZ back up and log back in... only I'm now a bambi near Dolina. Ok, well, that's fine, I accept it and progress towards the police station over there. Literally 20 seconds later I get the red chain and red numbers counting - it's obvious either the server rebooted or I lost connection (don't think I did) or something. Bad luck streak, it happens. My filters are set for roughly mid-pop server numbers, and the previous server i was on doesn't come up at all now, so I pick one that looks ok and log in. Now things get interesting. When I spawn I'm now under a bridge somewhere (I think near Berezino) and completely naked (absolutely no clothes other than default white shirt you can't remove and white undies you can't remove, nothing in inventory), yet somehow I'm fully hydrated, engergized, and healthy. Woah... what in the what? I was on Regular and Stable the whole time. Sound familiar to anyone or am i just having a rough alpha type night?

I shall head East and loot like a beast... but wow, what a weird night. Almost trippy. 3 other servers I'd logged into before all this went down had "apparently" rebooted within maybe 5 minutes of me joining. I was in log in, time out limbo for a while.

The i5 is fine imo. I have i5-3570K @ 3.4GHz. You could run perfmon while playing to see how your CPU is performing (or just run dual screen and have task manager off on the right side). Any i5 should be fine, but your graphics card is definitely very low end. You can see how you roughly rank here. Also make sure your antivirus isn't undermining you.

Your graphics card looks under powered, way under powered. I'd wager that's your whole problem. You're assuming you can easily find a pristine LRS and Bipod.

If these are the "infected" type I don't expect they'd have any heightened sense of smell. To be honest I'd expect them to be a little dumb because they're sick.

In previous MMO's I used to play there were simple checks for movement, if someone traveled an impossible distance in an impossible time, they were flagged, reviewed, then banned... and later outright banned. From the literature I've read, Battleye isn't meant to and doesn't have any of these types of checks, but if one were implemented by the the Bohemia DayZ team it would potentially stop all teleportation. I look forward to the day that happens.

I try to always keep an amusing note on me. Until the server persistence hits stable I won't be leaving them around though...

Was that the Stable release or Experimental?
