People are stupid and go where they're familiar. I'm finding it true when I run through.

These are things I've either never seen or seem to have trouble finding. I only found my first longhorn 3 days ago, I'm yet to get a situation to try it. I noticed the 1 bullet capacity and found that interesting... going to have to try it out on a zed or animal to see how it feels.

Use stick + (rag or bandage) = fireplace kit. Place wood in fireplace kit. Place matches in hand. Choose "ignite" option and light your fireplace.Stop playing with your stones or you'll go blind, they're not needed.

If you want normal interaction try: Elektro Berezino SvetloIf you want high risk interaction try: NWAF BalotaI know for a while the northern spawns forced people to Novo but I don't see that as retaining popularity because of it's distance from the coast. The costal cities are likely to always be the highest likelihood for interaction (and the biggest military locations). If you want to avoid conflict head inland to any number of other cities, small bases, heli crash sites, etc.

I ran past it this weekend heading from Balota to the military base just NW of there. It still exists.

This happens, and has happened for a long time, it's a well known issue. If you ever log in and you're naked, log back into the last server you were on. If you've been on the same server the whole time, log out and log back in, you just might get your gear back. Hang in there friend, it's early access alpha still, lots of weird shit is going to happen and you likely did nothing wrong. Above and beyond having to worry about other players, zombies, starvation, hypothermia, stairs of death - you also need to worry about bugs of incomplete features getting the best of you. This is unique as it normally wouldn't even be a factor in a full release game, but in early access alpha the game is likely more of a threat to you at times than zeds or KOS players.

My 2 favorites are: Throw something - get stuck standing there for up to 30 seconds. Ignite your camp fire - get stuck crouching over it for around 30 seconds and get burned so bad your vision is all fubar. :lol:I'm sure they'll get worked out eventually (it is only alpha stage of development after all) - but until then, I just consider it extra challenge. If the devs want to work miracles - fix the bugs in my wife of yelling at me BEFORE I do something wrong, she's so glitchy and I can't even mute her. Damnit Bohemia fix her!

I swear I noticed an uptick in rope frequency around the time that craft-able bows were introduced.

I do think the rate of ruin on axes is far out of control compared to reality (but maybe that's to prevent us from deforesting all of the world?). I also think that the rate of hypothermia is a little out of control too. But then again, it is a game... maybe the question we need to ask is what are those Russian axes made out of? Aluminum and balsa wood?

Squads of 3 or more players would actually abuse this to tell which direction the person is, especially if you have at least 4. Front guy gets a red chain and noone else does, he's coming from the direction of the front guy (roughly 11, 12, or 1 o'clock). Right guy and rear guy get a red chain, you can tell someone is coming in from the 4-5 o'clock direction. I actually witnessed this before I realized it was a real thing and how it worked. A squad of 4 was coming down a road and I was up ahead observing them with binoculars when the front guy stopped and the other guys crouched, I could see the front guy pointing and I was thinking there's absolutely no way they saw me and could have known that I was up ahead, but they knew alright because of this very method. It was widely abused by clans who were aware of it.

It honestly depends on how I feel at the moment, and also whether: If I've survived for a while and have some gear I happen to like? In this case I'll likely use caution and potentially avoid confrontation. However, if I see someone in distress I'll usually try to help, and if someone approaches me with their mic I'll likely spare what I have, especially if they're looking for something simple such as something to open cans with or bandages. If I'm a bambi? In this case I'll likely take more risks and be more likely to interact hoping for charity and or cooperative help. In the few times I tried to take out someone well geared as a bambi have never gone well so I'm not one of the kamakazi "gear up quick by killing you because I have nothing to lose anyway" bambis. If I've got an agenda - such as trying to meet up with someone, or go on a journey somewhere such as Balota or NWAF, or I'm on a mission to try something like fishing or making a bow and trying bow hunting? In this case I'll likely be a ghost, you'll never see me. I'll use the woods, deep woods, and avoid all roads or being seen at all. If I see someone at all I will avoid at all costs and will keep running with my weapons away for maximum speed. If I'm trying out a game mechanic for grins I may also try to find a low pop or empty server so I can do it in peace and quiet. If I'm completely bored? In this case things get fun. I'll hide and use my mic a lot to draw people in and potentially have some fun interaction, if hilarity ensues, great. If someone dies, well, that's fine too. Running down main street in Berezino blaring "Turn down for what!" or "Harlem Shake" always makes for amusement. Sometimes I'll randomly throw chem lights at people and run away. Or I might simply follow someone running circles around them while leaning side to side and looking as silly as possible. Maybe I'll create my own zombie train and drag them to where I know other people are, that's always fun when there's a bunch of friendlies sitting around chatting. Sometimes I chop down as many trees as I can in a town for grins and then discuss what hard work I did with anyone who passes by... this gets me killed a lot though, I either get the KOS guy or the hippy tree hugger who doesn't appreciate my efforts.Bottom line, it depends on what I'm up to and my mood.

I think I'm more chaotic neutral.

Do you have anything in Remote? A while back I would sometimes have issues if I had a server and port plugged into Remote. Double check that as well.

Never assume you're alone. You did everything right it sounds. 3x when there were only 1-2 other people on the server I was on I ran into them, 2 of those times was in Balota. Any of the major airstrips are good places to run into people, and the best places to run into server hoppers. And yes, ESP was part of a hack at one point (you can find the Youtube videos of it, accounts of it on these forums, and reports of it in the Feedback tracker), and I've not read anything claiming that it has been fixed or defeated (yet). However, what you described could very well simply be bad luck.

I think this is one of the best parts of playing an early access alpha - there are some truly silly things that can happen that keep things interesting.

In order of importance to me: Edged Weapon - so I can defend myself from zombies and open cans (I'll take an ax of any sort if I can find it) Backpack - so I can carry stuff Gun (and ammo) - so I can defend myself from playersEverything else is gravy or of a much more limited importance. I'm also assuming I can use my bambi tshirt for rags initially, but I only really worry about getting hit by zeds of I'm playing 1pp, if you play 3pp it should be a rare event you get hit by a zed, you're more likely to take a bullet in 3pp than get hit by a zed.

This title makes much more sense. Should get the player load he's looking for now...

Probably not a ddos, probably just hoards of players excited to reap the benefits of .49 and the race to start anew. The virgin times after wipes are special, I'm sure a lot of people are excited about it.
