Does it work in the middle of the road or in buildings? I like blocking off roads by falling trees in them... would be hilarious to block roads by farming over them. Question - what happens to a farm plot like that over time? Does it stay forever with persistence or does it just disappear after a while?

I was hoping to locate my first sword and give it a shot but with the DDOS I'm left wondering. Did anyone here try them on experimental, and if so were they better/same as a fire ax? And did I read right that they spawn at castle locations? This was all I could find online about them, this simple video which looks early. I'm not sure why he kept falling over, it looks like it may have been bugged when swinging at one point. Pretty funny. Can't wait to ambush someone and start spouting Archer lines. "I am the bone of my sword..."

-Is Battleye got false positive ban(s)? Will their support help (if it happen)? Can I get baned because of somebody else? (if I pick up a 'gliched/hacked' weapon or a hacker teleports me,...) The only reason I ask this is because nearly every day there is a post about "OMG I BANNED FOR NO REASON" and I wanted to know if these are real or not. I know false positive bans CAN happen but are these hackers who want to get away with it or these bans happen soo frequent. Is it as 'safe' as VAC in false bans. I heard on forums that it checks browser history and if you even search cheat related things it can ban, or it can ban if it found a program which can be a cheat I even read somebody got banned for using Razer Game Booster (whic I also use) I've read about it happening but it's extremely rare. If you're not doing anything out of the ordinary (attempting to modify source, installing weird crap or paid hacks) you're likely fine. Anyone who worries about this is likely not following the rules though. -Is this game enjoyable alone without microphone? Im 99% sure Ill play this game alone because my friends never buy games :( I can get a microphone but I dont know if it is necesarry. Sure, I play most of the time without a mic because if I talk I'll wake everyone up at night. The play style is called "lonewolf". You can type, somewhat. However, just understand that not being able to talk to people makes them uneasy and they're more likely to kill you. There's plenty of survivors out there willing to help fellow survivors. However, trust noone and never assume you're alone... -Is it playable on lower settings or is it necesarry to run on higher (there is player A and B, player A is run Dayz on high, B is on low; Due setting different can A see player B but B cant see player A)? No, you adjust the settings on your client side and that has no impact on what anyone else sees.

I know there's probably not a ton of information on this yet (I checked twitter and a few other places) but has this ever happened before with DayZ SA or any of Bohemia's other games? Well, hockey is big in that area of the world, especially with bears. Ever seen the Russian videos of entire teams of trained bears playing hockey? I'm not kidding either, it's real. But yeah, hockey sticks and hockey masks are not unreasonable in fact I would imagine they'd be a good fit.

I've found most interactions down south toward Elektro. The northern towns and even Berezino seem more sparse these days.

The title of this post sets all responses up for failure - because it's not exactly working right now. There's a big difference between how it's "supposed" to work and how it's currently working. I believe starting with .49 all servers were persistent by default. From what I saw in various forum/reddit posts this caused some confusion with server owners who didn't want persistence didn't go in and update the settings from the new default to turn persistence off (thinking "hey, I didn't change anything, it must be persistence off the way it's always been!"), and some owners did vice versa expecting to turn persistence on when in fact they turned it off. This is the exception not the norm now though and , but it led to confusion in the initial few weeks after the .49 release. There's also the distribution issues with persistence now where entire towns can be empty and one building may have nearly all of the loot for an entire sizable section of the map (all of the loot in Elektro might be in the fire station as an example). There's also strangeness with the respawn algorithm as well. I'm curious if today's build addresses any of this and what if anything is different on experimental.

You could have simply shot him in the leg and left him crawling or simply ran off and left him. Point blank target practice isn't much fun.

If you're hanging out around Berezino and the shipwreck that's your problem. People use a lot more of the map now. Also update your filters so you're not looking for max 40 - recall the max on stable is up to 50 now, if your max filter is still at 40 you'll be missing a lot of good populated servers.
