40 hours? ... that's barely getting off the coast. I have 900+ hours into DayZ with a full time job, 2 kids, and a wife to keep happy. In college I put somewhere around 200 days (not hours, days) into Everquest and still managed to be an RA, play varsity athletics, participate in Greek life, and graduate with a B average. Quitting with 40 hours is ... well it's like taking a sip of a coke and throwing it out complaining how you're concerned it will make you fat and give you diabetes and asking everyone else how they managed to survive a sip or more. Sheesh.

I think the plan is to implement pooping before the thermal scope. That way if someone drops a Cleveland steamer on someone's tomato patch at night at least you'll be able to spot it... ... I'm joking, of course, on both fronts. Why all the Rocket hate? This sounds a lot like someone who's not been actively playing or involved in the early access alpha effort.

I have about 900 hours - and I've seen plenty with various capabilities. I don't think we're supposed to say what their capabilities are, but I think it's safe to acknowledge that they exist. I avoid Elektro, Berezino, and all areas near them on high pop 3rd person USA servers - if you go looking, you're likely to find them. Although I was super impressed on twitch about a week ago watching Anthony Kongphan take out a teleporter about 5x in a row behind Elektro. It was beyond impressive... and another sign of how gimp hackers truly are. Teleporters are ubiquitous, any player who hasn't seen at least one is either lying or a low pop server hopper.

Something to at least check even if it doesn't help - do you have the latest Nvidia drivers installed?

I die more often than not because I get too trusting. However, I NEVER EVER trust bambis. There's a reason that dude's naked - it's more likely because they were death matching and getting into trouble than died from zeds, banditry, or KOS. Or to put it another way, bambis probably just lost everything because they're the type of survivor you don't want to be around and they have nothing to lose. Never trust a bambi. You don't need to KOS them, but any bambi that looks rabid or suspicious should be suppressed.

I don't hate the game. In fact, it's the only game I'll watch on Twitch when I'm not playing because it's so amusing and unpredictable... like a good action adventure movie. The game itself is great because it's changing every week. I've got I think nearly 900 hours in now and I can say I've gotten more than my money's worth. I'm not bored yet.

My goals: Have fun. Survive. Handcuff someone. Build a fire under them. Watch them burn to death. If it's ever implemented for zombies, same as #3 but with zombies. I feel like this needs a bump, but not just to be annoying and bump - but I think running through the holidays here both the dev team AND the community teams (Reddit & Forums) deserve some thanks and general holiday wishes. Rather than create a separate thread I figured it might make sense to pass that along here. Thankless jobs quite often, and wading through sesspools of negativity quite often thanks for keeping things in order and chipper. There's a lot to be thankful for.
