I blew my load south of Berezino last night - after careful surviving for 3-4 weeks and narrow escapes (made a few friends along the way) I tried my hand at downing a squad of 3. I held my own and dropped 2 of them, I somehow missed that there were actually 4 guys. Someone can enjoy my various ghillie pieces, can opener collection, wrapped SKS with PU (I have a think for the SKS), shotty with lots of ammo, 2 handguns, etc. I wasn't the most happy with my entire kit (had a lot of trouble finding a mosin in all that time), but I'd traveled enough between castles looking for a sword and lived long enough that I definitely was ready for a reset. I zerged Elektro a few times after that death to join the infestation of filth there... There's just something about knowing you've gotta wipe...

Ok, last one - Dean insisted on wearing a dress, so Anthony and Krystal decided to pimp him out. While trying to sell his body to this guy with the boonie hat and fire extinguisher negotiations failed and the guy freaked and logged out. The sale and violation of Dean was never completed, unfortunately. It was a sad day in Chenarus when Dean in a skirt didn't get any action...

I immerse myself by going prone in the nearest body of water. It's a refreshing experience... then I'm forced to wring my crap out or else die of hypothermia.

I usually make myself a fire on top of the nearest forested mountain - the view distance on fires is pretty close so people won't see me (plus the trees) and there will always been trees to cut for wood and also bushes for sticks. Sometimes if I'm playing on a server that's got the temperature setting way down I'll just carry a fireplace kit and log with me rather than going through the effort again (albeit that takes up a lot of space).

Is tactical bacon a larger denomination than beans? Hicks/Eugen and team haven't implemented currency nor have I seen that on the roadmap. I also have some cooked deer meat and can neither confirm nor deny that I have raw human steaks.

Speaking of the thank you to the admins/mods/devs/etc who frequent the forums - here's a good litmus test, in one of the threads a newer member was stirring up trouble, I go to that user's profile and I see this: These forums have lots of mods who spend a lot of time reviewing posts, trying to help, keeping order, checking profiles, removing spam, dispelling myths, etc. It's run pretty well imo. On another note if any poster goes to their profile and sees their latest visitors list looks something like this you're likely headed for trouble and a timeout, LOL!

I usually muse during the day about different things I want to try or places I want to go. Lately I've been bouncing between castles looking for a sword (unsuccessfully). When I find said sword I plan to elaborately roleplay being Connor Macleod of the clan Macleod on the road between Berezino and Kamyshovo until I die... However, in general, I have a rough goal each time I log on. There's either a base I'm going to, a city I want to search, etc. I rarely run around randomly. I'm a lone wolf by trade, but I'll team up with anyone who doesn't shoot me as it's always more interesting having someone around... and if someone else is around maybe they'll get shot first and I'll have a better chance at living! I'm also a woodsman of sorts, I'm happy to shoot a deer and cook/eat it, it's safer and sometimes quicker than searching endlessly for food. I'm a survivor.

Yeah - good point orlok. OP, what adjustments did you make and what are your rig specs? People would probably find that helpful.

Word on the street is it's only going to get better as well, I think a lot of people are really looking forward to the new renderer and optimizations as they get added.

What's going to be interesting is when persistence / loot distribution and also the BE / "litmus test" improvements are made, for me, it will almost seem like an entirely different game experience, and will change the types of servers that I seek out.

Military locations are very competitive and it's unspoken but well known that they're a KOS warzone type scenario. I've found friendlies at military bases before, but it's rare. You go military and you go for blood. He may have made a mistake and maybe was trying to raise a hand and hit 3 instead of F3 or something, but if someone is packing heat at a military base you put them down before they put you down. You did well, have some beans. :beans:

Green Mountain is mid to popular because of the jail and military type drops there (and people can see it for miles). It's about as risky as any military location... but it's worth visiting and pretty cool to check the tower out.

Met a guy in Svetlo who'd only played for about 20 hours so far, and hadn't met anyone friendly. Hadn't even found a gun yet. I helped him find a gun, killed 2 randoms who attacked him, helped him learn how to roughly navigate, took a journey to NEAF and then to Krasno, and logged with him giddy about being fully dressed, full/hydrated, and packing a Mosin with LRS and a Longhorn (with plenty of ammo). I told him to pay it forward someday and keep the faith that there's other good guy survivors out there.

You should donate it to the nearest bambi.

You won't find many friends in Berezino or Elektro. Proceed with caution there, those are the areas where people zerg and death match.

Dude - it's easy to get knocked up in DayZ because everyone is out to screw you when you least expect it. :lol:
