Maybe its that, and this will make people use protective case and ammo boxes more often, but i still insist that your whole backpack can't get devastated by 1 5.54mm round and only 1 or 2 items should get ruined in the process. -

Because unfortunately most people playing this game right now after the publicity it took are casuals and would like to exploit everything. This is the same issue with 3pp:on servers. They can't keep up with hardcore mechanics and if they can make the game easier for them they will do it. It's like the dayz mod when servers with self bloodbag, no zombie hit bleeding and custom loadouts received huge popularity. -

And not only that, bullets collide when you are in cover under a pinetree at it's leaves, at least with a shotgun, i tried to sneak up on two bandits and when i had perfect shot my bullets just went into the trees leaves. -

Isn't it a little strange that bohemia interactive wanted input from a forum member ( A well respected one ) to fix things that are meant to be perfect from the beginning by bohemia devs? I mean bohemia is well know for realistic ballistics and realistic combat. -

Well i like that eventually all ruined items are going to be just scrap metal and you won't be able to use any of them, but dean IMO you should have firstly fixed the damage they are taking by bullets. It's not authentic for a backpack to receive a bullet and in response every little thing in the backpack becomes ruined. It should go like this: 1 bullet = max 2 random items get ruined, 2 bullets = 3 or so items, you get the point. I also hope that you are aware about the dissapearing dead bodies issue. It seem like the 30 second timer stays even for dead bodies.
