^Usually it'll be a mosin, but sometimes I've had a shotgun or the double barrelled rifle. Sometimes no firearms but always a melee weapon.

Yeah sks,ammo and clips are everywhere. Seen a load of sprayed and modded mosins about which people must have dropped for the sks.

It's a cream(ish) coloured building that has a bricked up door way on one side. Most of the larger towns or cities have a couple.

Yep it's still a massive problem, just takes people a little longer that's all. I play on hardcore mode and it's pretty impossible to find an un-looted military installation( adds to the realism I suppose). I've noticed that the smaller towns that would be untouched are also starting to be done and that less people are staying on the coast unless they're after some PvP. Like the other guy said, certain loot buildings are left alone whilst others are the only ones that have been bothered with. People know that good gear spawns there so it's too easy to gear up.

Haven't found one in ages, the flashlight is everywhere though! The only one I have seen was on a corpse and was ruined. Would like it to complete my fnx.

I'm pretty sure the AK-47 still exists somewhere, even if that exact model isn't in production anymore. I mean there are so many foreign knock offs about it must be hard to know what is what.

My biggest pet peeve at the moment is the flashing magpul parts. Ditched all my old ones and now they're doing the same again, only a few days later. Are all magpul parts completely bugged then?

I've noticed that zombies are doing less damage. They keep on pouncing/lagging at me and doing very little damage, so little damage that there has been no need to bandage. Same goes for gunshots in my experience.

The two people that I've encountered over the last few days in the north have been friendly with me. Seems like more people are exploring and staying away from hotspots.

The compass and map match each other with regards to navigation. You do however have to orientate the map as you do in real life. I always have the map loaded on my kindle while I'm playing. EDIT: So......yes, north on the map is north in the game.

Most of the servers are down so I didn't try to log in. Surely anyone who logs in at this time when they know what is happening only has their self to blame?

I was on one server and the message 'you sense something behind you' came up. I emptied a mag in that direction and ran for ages lol. Thinking now that it was something server specific used to scare.

^^People just love to pretend that they are in the military or they enjoy playing with others. This game is infinitely more fun playing as a group, not knocking solo play at all but clans are a winner.

8 years in the army means nothing, for all we know you were a mechanic or clerk! Trying to justify anything on a forum is entirely pointless.

I have enough experience of firing weapons in contacts and anyone can hit targets on a static range. I implore anyone to hit a moving target beyond 30m when you are blowing out of your arse (pistol). I'm not looking for people to agree with this and quite frankly I don't have to justify anything to anyone. So many 'experts' have never fired a weapon anywhere else than a range.

I've never had any trouble with weapon accuracy. Don't use Hollywood movies as an example of how firearms work irl. You'd be lucky to hit anything beyond 10 meters with a pistol if you were standing and that's with a 9mm. Anywhere beyond 400m using a 5.56 chambered rifle is practically ineffective anyway. Most 'sniper' rifles are only effective up to 1000m and anything beyond that is classed as harassing fire. Games are never fully realistic, but arma and dayz come the closest that I have ever seen.
