I've been playing in a true apocalyptic style recently. High populated servers with little chance of loot (unless you find the secret spots), scruffy civilian clothing and improvised backpack. Carrying a machete and an fnx loaded with one round, used in the style of the Road as a means of threatening someone rather than an offensive weapon. Sadly other players KOS me before I get to play for any serious length of time. APLHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR DURRPPP

Do people often take rare items they don't need so others can't use them? I know that I do....

The mags are around still, just really rare. Used to have four but now I've only got one and I can't find any others. The rarity makes me appreciate the fnx a lot more, plus it looks cool when it's fully modded.

It happened to me once, I just flailed around everywhere for ages with no luck, eventually I glitched through another wall into some in between place and gave up. When I logged back in later I was outside the ship, so maybe the same will work for you broseph!

Arma2/dayz etc etc are the only games I've played where incoming shots make a realistic cracking sound and yes that is scary in this game.

Head to the big cities and you'll have no trouble finding your noob cannon (m4). I've found them everywhere, especially in the building sites strangely.

Everyone on here drones on about how this is their experience and they'll play it how they sit fit, which is fine. So how is it acceptable when someone is forcing their play style on me with a KOS? inb4 the moaners

I was a bit shocked when I was killed for the first time. I'd been riding solo for weeks on fairly well populated servers and I was used to sneaking around and being cautious. It was a surprise when I bumped into another player in one of my favourite spots, who then KOS'd me haha.

Weapons/attachments seem to rare for some and not for others. You know I've got pristine magpul parts and an acog but no m4, or it'll be a pristine LRS but as soon as I find one I can never find a mosin lol.

I'll be upset if they don't implement recoverable and craftable arrows.

Press vest isn't too hard to find and I didn't server hop because karma will always get you eventually, only a certain amount of time before you spawn in and someone is there waiting!! EDIT: my press vest seems to be magical btw, I was being silly at the NWAF whilst this guy was popping m4 shots off at me (missing completely), eventually someone shot me in the chest with a mosin. My vest was originally damaged and was ruined by the shot, later however it had miraculously fixed itself into pristine condition lol.

By being smart and learning the core mechanics of the game. Don't trust anyone, especially un-armed people. Think of everything you hate about humanity and this game will make you hate people even more lol.

My biggest fail was taking my beloved, fully geared hardcore character on to the ship at rify. Insta derp of the stairs and into oblivion lol.

I've got the press vest but I've never seen any of the others that are available. Also LRS seems to be a thing of the past and why is that I used to find mosins everywhere but I can never find one, seriously there's an sks or b95 in every other house lol.

9/10 being in the military makes you act like a cunt, it's a profession that attracts the dregs of society and a lot of these people are brainless morons who follow orders like good little plebs. That being said though, there are good blokes here and there that know the score, people you can trust for life. A lot however are dangerous in their pack mentality and lack of common sense. As I've said before, extreme popularity ruins everything and attracts the sort of people you wanted to avoid in the first place. Just got to ride it out until the hype dies down and all the kids and band wagoners piss off.

I can't decide between the sks, mosin or b95. I'm trying not to use the m4 for a change although I do prefer it.
