DayZ isn't the best game to make that argument for because even on the best of computers this game can dip way down in FPS, i have this game currently and have sli 970s, but i want it on console as well because i know more people that game on console.
-
i love gaming on my pc but i picked up battlefront and black ops 3 for thirty dollars each for xbox one, Gears of War Ultimate edition and Rare Replay for 15 dollars each, so you can get games cheap on consoles as well, not to mention you are getting 4 free games a month on xbox. Windows 10 is also not free, you have to purchase it, it is only free if you are upgrading a previous version (like when i upgraded my windows 8.1 to windows10) if you are building from scratch and don't have a PC you will have to purchase it.
-
I disagree, if you want to build from scratch you have to shell out a 100 dollars for windows, 100-200 for your monitor, 50-100 for your mouse and keyboard, 200 for a solid graphics card, 100 for a solid cpu, 100 hard drive, 50-100 in ram, 80 for a cd/dvd/blu ray drive, 80-100 for a power supply, 100-200 for your motherboard..... where as right now 299 gets you an xbox with a couple games.

the problem with dayz: not dank enough
kobeandodom replied to Wookieenoob's topic in General Discussion
I'm fine with jumping how it is, but with that logic there should be no reason why fresh spawns or lightly geared players shouldn't be able to jump. -
i would say this coming to ps4 is good news for us PC gamers. First of all it is giving the development team a ton of money they wouldn't of normally had, this money is being used to make the game better then it ever could have been. It also forces them to get the game running a lot smoother then it already is.

that's cool, you killed a guy with an sks lol... that's a great gun so not really surprised. It does seem very unlikely that a mosin hit you twice and you didn't go down tho, but congrats.

i would say it's more likely that people see the house and don't really give it a second thought. -
except it's not true, plenty of console games throughout the years have had frame rate drops amongst other performance problems, only problem is on console you can't make any adjustments or upgrade to fix the problem.
-
i love console gaming as much as the next guy, but not sure what you mean about performance and experience can't be beat? I have never played a game on a console that didn't run twice as well on a pc with way better graphics, higher resolution and way higher frames per second.
-
Well anybody that is struggling to run this right now are probably only having problems because it isn't optimized. So when they do optimize it and even get it running well on the ps4 then those same people who were struggling on pc will most likely have there problems solved as well.
-
i have played this game for almost 800 hours and still don't get that saying "don't get attached to your gear" of course i am going to get attached to it, not going to spend hours of time and just chuck my stuff into the ocean lol, yeah wipes happen but that doesn't mean you shouldn't care about your gear in the mean time.

DayZ SA with a controller is already a reality on PC it's how i have been playing it for over 700 hours now.... and DayZ has been announced as Multi-platform... When asked at EGX whether DayZ was coming to Xbox One - having been announced for PlayStation 4 at Gamescom - creator Dean Hall answered: "DayZ is definitely going to be a multi-platform title - that's the firm vision from Bohemia's standpoint. But we'll announce what all the other platforms are as we get to that point."
-
already play with a 360 controller and have no problems with the controls whatsoever. If they did that it would ruin the experience for me completely, i love DayZ just the way it is and hopefully it won't change coming over to consoles, if it does i'll just stick with my PC version.
-
i've never heard of anybody playing a ps4 for any other reason other then enjoyment of the games.... i am a huge pc gamer but i play a lot of console games as well and i don't see there being any difference in the communities.
-
i am not seeing how you are saying pc gaming is more complicated then it is on console, these kids have there parents buy them a pc and then they click on steam and download the game and play it, it's as easy or easier then it is playing on a console and doesn't require or enhance the maturity level one bit.
