    Where is it?

I'd argue that it's more than possible, probably wouldn't work too well with a sativa or indica bush, but ruderalis which originates from central Russia would probably flourish. Some indica and sativa strains are also possible, else there wouldn't be any guerilla growing going on in Sweden and Denmark for instance... and there is. Just need to figure out which latitude Chernarus is actually on and it's not like you could grow the year around outside in these climates but if you can grow outside in approximately the middle of sweden, you can definitely grow it in Chernarus as well. Would make a good lure for deer when it comes to hunting, since they love to eat c-plants.

    Proper Bowl Of Cereal Crafting

You're asking the wrong question here... you should be asking, why wouldn't we want to have this feature?

    100 Slot Server

I think this will balance out though, with respawning loot, potentially more lootable places up north, when people have gathered that which they need and add hunting on top of that. But yeah a 100 pop server will be cleaned out fairly early without respawning loot, specially if all those people join within the first hour of each other. It's really only new spawns that need a lot of food.
  4. Still, increased server slots seems like a huge step in the right direction imo.

    So I tried Hardcore..

Once they make 1PP decent in terms of game-play, then I could consider changing. But as it is now, movement is clunky as hell and I get nauseous from 1PP in this game. Worst implementation of 1PP ever in a game. Amazing that people still bitch and moan about 1PP/3PP - you all got what you wanted, separate characters/hives.

    Stages of my character

I've been reducing my gear greatly as of recently, only keeping what's actually necessary. Only use one weapon (used to hoard them for no particular reason, it's not like I would use four weapons with a lot of ammunition for each weapon - in a single fire fight. Never wear a helmet anymore just a beanie or a cowboy hat. I've grown fond of the brown hoodie and the brown hunter trousers so that's what I'm trying to get now. Keep all my ammunition in my hoodie or my vest (if I have one). Keep a canteen of water even though I never use it, cause I drink in towns instead. Keep two cans of beans and one or two cans of sardines + can opener. Some medical supplies. A sewing kit, just because I might need it for later. Going to try and add a gas stove, gas canister and portable gas light, pots and the like just for when it will actually be needed and I want to know what I can keep in my backpack and what I have to get rid of.

How much authenticity is too much?

They're also a lot harder or should I say clunkier to use than a knife that you have in your hand. Then again, mobility sucks in this game so

    Suggestion from a survivor!

Where's the difference in killing to survive and killing for fun? Other than justifications - the outcome is the same and to be perfectly honest "for fun" is more a valid reason than "to survive" (unless "to survive" means that the person being killed has actively been proven to be a threat - otherwise it's just assumptions based on paranoia). I'm sorry to say 'alpha' but really, more features will be added and while PK (for whatever reason you might have) will still exist (it may even increase), it will fill a vacuum for people who do not engage in the FFA PvP DM (thus making it seem like it's actually not only a war game). Crafting, hunting, building, fishing, cooking and so on and so forth. Not being killed by players is part of the survival though. With that said, it still sucks to be killed for what appears to be no apparent reason (although keep in mind that you have no idea what that other person is thinking and thus you can't be aware of his or her motives regarding this action). But you'll be up and running in no time.

So long character 1 you were awsome.

Not fun when it happens, but the moment you start your new character - you'll have fun again. So glhf.

How much authenticity is too much?

Well FO2, go up to a child - put your .44 (or your weapon of choice) to his/her head and pull the trigger. That to me is a little bit 'worse' than killing a zombiefied kid that would try and have me for lunch. I wouldn't cry if they didn't add it, to me it would be pretty low on priority list as of right now - but if they have the time and resources, I think they should do it.

why do the forums keep going down?

It would be hard to post on forums when they're down though, wouldn't it?

    character back ?

First rule. Don't get attached to your gear or your character. You will lose it by dying, from bugs and glitches, by the hands of other players, from server reboots (has happened to me quite often - my own fault though), from character wipes.

Did stable servers just go down?

Last week it was about 3 hours if my memory servers me right which probably doesn't. I'd just look in the "announcments and information" sub-section of the forums. No post as of yet though.

Did stable servers just go down?

Most likely maintenance then, which occurs at Wednesdays around this time (7:00 GMT).

How much authenticity is too much?

Personally I feel that if they're going to add something as bullets stuck in wounds they need to add mechanics for those type of wounds or rather mechanics to treat those types of wounds. But yes, taking it further towards realism would be good - although with that said I think they need to distribute the realism to all parts. A highly realistic weapons system and a mediocre healing system is just bad. Effects from injuries should really linger on for a long time imo. The systems need to evolve and progress hand in hand. Same goes for all other parts as well. You can't just make portion X of the game realistic and ignore the rest. If they're going to make realistic combat, building and crafting must be realistic as well - while it is easier to make combat more realistic because combat and damage has a number of variables and just adding a few of those makes the game more realistic than other FPS in comparison to for instance building. But I'd like to see the fact that you need foundation to build a sturdy building, or dig holes for your posts if you're building a fence and such. As long as they can pull it off, go hog wild - but maintain realism across all spectrums in a balanced fashion.

    im generally confused

I guess starting up on a night server might be a bit of bad luck. Seriously, it's not a hard game. I don't know why everyone thinks or keeps saying that it is a hard game. What part of the game makes it hard? The fact that you need to eat or that you have to open your canned food first? The medical system might be a little bit daunting at first glance, the same goes for hunger/fluid/energy system - although it's not needed to know the exact values to play the game and since you can't administer some of the medical stuff to yourself you don't need to bother with it unless you're playing in a group. Nor does it have a particularly steep learning curve either for that matter. Finding food and water as a new spawn comes down to luck and knowledge of the map - not the difficulty of the game. You can sprint pretty far from the moment you just started playing without being impaired by thirst or hunger. The only problems that I can see for new players is that melee weapons other than axes and fists are utterly useless and that is counter-intuitive and the fact that some houses are completely useless to visit since they don't spawn loot (but that just becomes a time sink). As you would most likely do if it was a real life situation, stick to or at least follow main roads - do not go wandering off into the woods or take the small, narrow dirt roads unless you know where they're going. And most important of all: think (then set out to have fun and explore or whatever your desired playstyle is).

    DayZ Standalone Weapon Guide

You might want to update the SKS with PU-Scope as confirmed attachment (bipod doesn't work and I doubt LRS does either) As well as adding the B95 with snap-loader. Snaploader for B95 SKS w/ PU-Scope SKS w/ PU-Scope

    Fully Kitted M4?

It could have been cloned/duped, has happened to me quite a lot lately.

Ever did something in dayZ you regret?

Yeah, I regret that I didn't kill the last person I met when I had the chance... on the other hand, not doing so and respawning netted me a sawed off-shotgun and the blaser rifle whatever the name was, a backpack, food and a can opener. So perhaps it was a good idea after all...

  23. Except that all textures doesn't seem to be flickering and it doesn't seem to be items that only existed prior to the patch that causes the lag so.
