TheXJackal i never get that message, i get "wait for host" then i get "you are dead" with "Testing 1..2..3.." on bottom left

Having same problem, just updated and tried to get in a game and have been unsuccessful so far. Has anybody found any fixes? Tried joing a hardcore server, where i have a character I havent used in a while, seems to be working ok, I believe in my regular character server i died and never respawned. Im guessing this has something to do wiht it.
