Not just gun shots, a guy came at me with an axe, i sprayed him but still got me, i was unconcious for about 1 or two minutes, but everything i had on me was ruined, from helmet, down to my shoes, and everything in them, even my assault vest and pants.... I swear, that was like some sort of skyrim axe that got me... I think it was ebony with some sort of after effect magic, he might had his two handed maxed out or something

Please spawn pistols with their appropriate mags, to make pistols more of an option in the game, atm, pistols are only treated as a secondary weapon... Pistols and mags should be more abundant in cities... Or finding a chest holster with a pistol and mag in it... But no bullets...

There was some sort of elektro war, clan battle or something in elektro, in a us server for experimental, coz all the fresh spawns i met from solnichny to berizino wanted to be killed to get back to elektro... I was talking to this guy who said there was more than 20 people fighting there... I didnt finish talking to him coz after the 2 fresh spawns finished eating and hydrating, (from the food i gave them) they decided to gang up on me and take my mosin, which had 2 bullets, so the 3 of them chased me to berizino

On regular, i have a MP M4, all pristine, pristine bipod, pristine 556 supressor, worn acog, 4 double mags and about 300 .556 ammo, 1 sawn off shot gun, 2 shot gun speed loaders, and about 25 loose shells for the shotty Looking for: An sks with pristine pu scope, and about 60-70 rounds for it. i just got peppered by an m4, so lost all my stuff :D

Was this elektro war in experimental server??? I met three of your guys that spawned in solnichny, after offering them food and shite, the three fresh spawns chased me all the way to berizino trying to knock me out

So u went to a low pop server to loot an airfield? From your own post, you admitted to logging into a barn 3 mins away from an airfield... A geared player... How do you define server hopping? Joining a low pop server? Close to an airfield? Its highly unlikely u logged out at a barn close to an airfield on a high pop server. So most likely, u logged off in a barn in a low pop server and joined another low pop server... Anyways.... A geared player getting axed....

Everyone says get off the coast, yup thats ideal, but i play experimental, on a 40 man server that hardly restarts and no loot respawn, i spawn hungry, in an area near berizino where hundreds before me has spawned... The cities in the immediate vicinity has been looted, what do i do? I myself like to go west, far far west.... But to do that, i need to pass elektro or check berizino, get that one can of food and fountain to suffice my hunger and thirst,i cant afford to head inland and try to navigate my way west through a forest without supplies, before i get to zelenogorsk ill be starving, and what happens when i dont find food there? I spent a better part of an hour or hour and half in a jogging simulator. Solution? Random spawns on a greater scale, spawn people far west and far east.... Let them spawn all over the coast....

Oh.... Im sorry.... Its my opinion... And suggestion. I for one always keep my gun with a mag, when i store it away, i keep an empty mag inserted, and have a full mag beside it.... Why? For one thing, a gun without a mag has a higher chance of getting dirt or dust inside, causing a misfire, but i keep a full mag close by the gun in case i need it. So i find it very peculiar to find a pistol without a mag, even if you empty out your last mag during use, you keep the last mag in... I dont even know what my point is now. Hahahaha in all honesty, i dont want guns to be rare, i want it all over the place, i love having to always check corners and snipers, the fear of getting shot... Some people just want a "the sims" open world version... Where they can nurture their char to the end of days... I for one would like to fight for my survival

So i played experimental today, au server, spawned at berizino, so i looted every town NE before trying NEAF, by the time i get to NEAF, i had two sawn off shotguns, 9 mm ammo, 45 ammo, mosin ammo, sks ammo, .22 cal ammo and 357 ammo, but for the life of me i cant find any shot gun ammo. So i head to neaf hoping to find either a gun for my ammo, or ammo for my gun. I looted the first jail cell close to the hangar and found a 30rd m4 mag, great more ammo for the gun i dont have... I head into the first hangar and found boots, as i head for the 2nd hangar, i see a guy with a sks, so i went back the hangar i was in, i was close enough that hell shoot me dead before i could run away, but far enough that ill be gun down before i can axe him... So i decide ill rush him shouting "friendly". And so i did, to my suprise, he doesnt shoot, even more so, he gives me shot gun ammo and a canteen... To show my thanks, i drop one of my sawn off shot guns for him... And we head for the next town... I cant believe how trusting this guy is, he runs first, never even looking back... He then give me 9mm pistol... (Im like wtf! Is this still dayz) after a few minutes, i get hit by a zombie, bleeding... He comes to my aid by bandaging me... (Now im really confused.... I dont know whats going on... ) he then disappears... And comes back with another gun for me, this time the .22 cal rifle...(now im really really confused) i have a lot of ammo for the 22 so i went on the roof, and started sniping zombies with it... A few rounds later, he comes to me again and this time he has a blaze rifle... Saying its better than the 22, (now im going crazy, 3 guns, ammo water and food, who is this guy), but i said ill take the 22 coz i like how quite it is and i dont have ammo for the blaze... He doesnt agree, he said the blaze is better and i should wait while he looks for ammo for my blaze ( now thats the last straw, this guy is too friendly, he kills zombies for me, bandages me, gives me ammo, food, water, amd 3 guns) i saw him go into the 2 storey piano building, i take out my sawn offshot gun, press t, ill give him both barrels at the same time, i run in, his standing inside, i mean i had my gun raised and he doesnt even care he just goes on about his business like im not there... I take position by the piano, and wait for him to run at the stairs, i figured this is the most ideal spot since his char will slowly walk up and hell have his back towards me... I went first person and aimed at the stairs... As soon as he slows down...and his char was at the stairs, what i assume is less than 5 meters, double barrel shotgun... Boom... I shoot, and he fuckn rubber bands and glitch through the wall and back to the bottom stairs... Face to face with me... Then i bolted out the house and circle the house while reloading... I hear the sound of my shot gun reloading then i see him... At the corner and pak... I was dead... I didnt even hear the shot... To end this, if you are the person on this story, sorry man, you were so friendly you scared me. Hahahahahahahaha but learning from this, ill try to be as friendly now :D

Why would log out? Whats the point of playing a multiplayer game if you log out everytime you get scared? And it was a douche-y move... But meeting someone like that is not a norm for this game, its waiting to be double crossed. But in the end, i guess its much more fun playing friendly like that...

Make it a Saturday or Sunday, then make it a free for all last man standing, have all participants meet first at for example the construction site at berezino, once all participants are present, move into the city and begin the fun. U can have medics on standby or people who are recording where bright colors and roam the city during the gun fighting

Always shoot from cover, ADS when you peek out of cover, move from cover to cover, use sprint only when your gonna retreat, double tap or burst then return to cover. Dont panic and bandage immediately, always check your immediate surroundings, when your gonna loot an airfield or base, organize your backpack before going in, have a plan on how to loot, and loot fast. Its not about practicing, its cover beats open, crouch beats standing, and prone beats crouched.

How else will you be able to tell how fast the wind is blowing without seeing it??? From the sound?? And how will you know which direction its blowing?? If you dont have any visual aids to confirm the wind, so it will be like a guessing game... Shoot first, then adjust on the 2nd shot? Well if thats the case, and the wind isnt dynamic... Its always constant... Then players will learn to compensate for it... Like shooting a little to the right... Haha sound familiar???

Most snipers will camp a high traffic area, like on my hardcore character, ill leave an ammo box full of ammo, rice, and yellow container at an area ive zeroed, ill wait for any takers to stay still and check on my bait then poof....

Atm, sniping is hard, you need to hit a guy at the head to one hit kill him, (fully geared guy coz theres no reason to snipe a fresh spawn) given the gear, clothes absorb some of the damage, theres bullet drop in game, thats why you adjust the range, and theres no exact range, so if you get dropped by a sniper in one shot without hearing the gunshot, say gg and appreciate the shot. Adding windage would require wind, which i would guess would drop your fps even more, rain and snow is one thing, but wind that blows at different speeds throughout the map thats dynamically changing? Coz lets face it, if the wind isnt dynamically changing, theres no need for it since a fixed value will be set for windage everytime.

I like this idea, you guys should have met at the middle of the airstrip, dropped all the food and canteens( to avoid ruining it in the gun fight, so it can be the winners prize) and then started at opposite sides. bandaging him and patching him up was a classy move tho. Kudos

This is all based on my experience, i once killed a guy with a magnum 1 on the chest and one on the head at the 2 storey military buildng, i was at the top of the stairs and he was crouched at the bottom. I shot a guy with an sks 40-50 meters away at the back on his back pack, 3 shots, he ran away like nothing happened. Then i got shot several times, (not healthy, i was energized and hydrated only) i took atleast 4 shots, my screen was grey, helmet, vest, shirt and pants ruined, but not bleeding, then i think the wind blew a bit too strong and killed me. Lol. Then shot a guy on the chest about 50 m away, two shots, sks, killed him. Slow animation though. I ran towards a guy with an m4, fully healthy took atleast three shots, bleeding, grey screen, ruinded vest, shirt and pants but alive. My shooter took pity on me then patched me up. So im guessing 4 shots to kill a fully healthy geared player. I took a axe shots, one to the head and chest, i was unconscious for less than 1 minute, woke up bleeding and grey screen, ruined helmet and vest.... Almost all my exp is upclose tho... I like to talk to people first and see if theyre friendly

i have a lr scope on regular and looking for a acog,or any m4 sight, but id still prefer acog... worn is ok, just nothing less

So I joined a "friendly" server today, I needed a sight for my m4 so I traveled from electro to NWAF, but it was looted out, server had about 15 players, so from NWAF I went to The NEAF, first building I hit, I found mousin with all the attachments on it, being a greedy sob, I took that unto my hands and pocketed my m4, the first hangar I went into had a long range scope on it which made my day, the second hangar had an m4 fully kitted out, silencer to butt stock and everything in between, the last building had a pistol with silencer and holo sight on it, and about 3 coupled mags, I couldn't believe my luck, so to pay it forward, I went to the coast of just pass berizino to give away the mousin, food and water(found about 4 canteens and enough food to feed an army) so in berizino, I went up to the building under construction to wait for any fresh spawns, went up to the top floor and ate some sardines, after a few minutes, a fresh spawn with nothing came running up the stairs, so I said "friendly", i even told him where a back pack was and offered food and water... He wasn't answering, I just figured he didn't have a mic, he picks up the back pack and an axe, as I opened my inventory to drop water and food, he rushes me with the axe and knocks me out.... I was out for less than a minute, when I came to, I was bleeding and he was busy choosing between a mousin and the pristine fully loaded m4, stood up,bandaged myself and when I saw he chose the m4, I run over and picked up the mousin shot him.... So to end this, to whoever left the mousin and m4, thanks... May be u can leave me an Sks next? Hahahaha

So, I'm new in Europe, so I posted an ad here at the forums looking for friends to play dayz with, a guy responded and we met on a half full server... And connected on ts...We decided to go to a mil base and loot for ammo and food, I had an m4, acog and all the magpul attachments on it... Anyways, as we're approaching the first building with the jail cell, he shoots and kills a guy, truth be told, I never saw the guy as I was busy looking at the atc for snipers, or signs of people. After killing the guy, he loots the body by the door, I saw him take the m4 off of the body, I then checked the hangars, I hear four m4 shots, he then tells me on ts that he is dead, I immediately rush back to the building and cover the entrance, I'm circling the building trying to peek at the windows, constantly asking him where the shooter was, first floor or second floor, he said he didn't know(hard to believe but plausible), I asked him where he was shot and he said he doesn't remember(spider senses started tingling), then what got me really doubtful was when he kept asking where I was.... Not wanting to look like a pussy, I said I was by the window camping the door, as soon as I finished speaking, I ran like Rambo into the building, I'll never forget the green beret hat and aviators his char had on, I died, but not before shooting him too, I assume I killed him too coz he just said goodbye on ts and left but continued playing dayz(from what I saw on his steam status)

Hum... He did the whole surrender animation and wave thing.... Anyways, yeah you guys are right, I learned my lesson, so whenever I put someone down, I'm so paranoid that I take their helmet off and shoot them in the head for good measure then shoot them again before running off.
