You know, since I hear a lot about laboratories and research of a cure and things like that, I don't see why there wouldn't be little optional missions or meta games. Not talking about a GTA-style mission progression system... Just some optional tasks. I think (read: think) that the devs have plans for this. I don't care a whole lot either way.

I found myself too once when I logged out to deuce and logged back in. Stole my own gear and had double. Then I killed myself but I didn't actually die. Maybe because of the time delay. But I did yell at myself for a few seconds first when I thought it was another player. Oh well. Alpher.

Yes. Alpha. If people didn't cheat in the alpha then the devs wouldn't know to fix it for beta. Good on you for playing carefully but don't get too attached. Youre like an intern, but you pay to work here. :)

He needs to get some air people... He's now rolling on the floor and laughing about this terrible situation. After 203 hours of gaming in a month it's the opinion of this gamer that OP needs to take a walk and relax with no DayZ for 3 hours. It'll do his mind and heart some good.

Then you should definitely read dev blogs, old forum posts etc. the Mean Dean Machine has said that as soon as improvised weapons are introduced they will be drastically reducing the amount of military weapons in game. Part of being a good play tester is knowing the basic development plans as posted all over.

I usually go for the Rickie Fowler Sunday look: all orange. With orange work helmet and large wrench. Then I just explain that I'm on my way to fix a toilet in Berezino if anyone tries to rob/kill me. Maybe I'll RP the Wichita Lineman next char.

Great! Now you can go back to whining on your WoW forum about how an invisible Orc keeps killing your level 89 goblin priestess. Sorry you just annoy me to no end. It does remind me of the time I mysteriously died in the Elektro firehouse tower... There were only 35 people on the server. Unlikely someone would happen to be up there. It was a hacker!

The only variation where this works is a simple text notification... You were shot. You fell to your death. You were eaten. You masterbated to death (Shift-F7, I think). -

3pp is cheating. Not really but it's lame. They need a fog of war setup where you can see the landscape but not players/zombies unless you have eye contact. Off topic but not really since OP said he was in 3pp. -
I'm ok with there being weaker zombies (ladies in rags) and stronger zombies (soldiers in helmets and flak) but toxic and mongoloid or whatever makes it cheesy. Should they spit green acid too? They're just mad people not dead. So dead players won't "rise up." And if they let you get infected well that sucks about as much as random heart attacks.

You cry so much. Maybe you should play another game that doesn't hurt your delicate sensibilities. The alpha state of this game is obviously too much for you. You can't even take a little ribbing from forum posters. No wonder you boo hoo when you get sniped at the airfield.And another thing... Yes I'm sure it's likely you died from a glitch but nothing you posted gives any constructive feedback for players or devs to pinpoint the issue. Shit happens. Not worth the bits of data from your post.
