    Freezing in game and on the main menu

    Hi I've being trying to play Dayz for the first time today but after a few seconds the screen freezes, although I can still hear my character moving when I hit WASD. I have found that this problem happens both in the game and on the main menu, which says to me that it is not a graphics problem. Before the game freezes I mostly hear my computer fans speed up greatly even though the computer is still cool. I have only had this problem on Metro Last Light. My computer specs are: Operating System: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (6.2, Build 9200) (9200.win8_gdr.130531-1504) Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 975 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.6GHz Memory: 8192MB RAMAvailable OS Memory: 8154MB RAM Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7950 Thanks
