As human beings, we're all pretty in-tune when it comes to our bodies. So far, the statuses in standalone could use a little bit of TLC. A can of beans for your thoughts.     Great idea. +1 Also, the ability to non-lethally tackle people would be fantastic. Then I could really feel like a cop, hopped up on doughnuts, chasing down people with my handcuffs at the ready.

    What's with the desire to cause controversy? The cons far outweigh any so-called "benefits." I'm talking sexuality/nudity rating warnings, bannings in various countries, manufactured controversy from desperate media-types, worried mothers calling for boycotts. And for what, the lawls? NOTHING good can come from this.

    I want to (carefully) loot helmets off of decaying helicopter pilots. I want to walk into a room where I see blood on the walls, a gun, and a long-dead couple holding hands. I want to see half-eaten corpses, rotting the in the streets, covered in flies and maggots. I want a half-dismembered corpse to crawl towards me, moaning. I want to be afraid.

    More gore

    Toggle-able gore would be fantastic. Just -- let's no overdo it. Light gore all the time is reasonable. But 10% of the time, gore should be outrageous, and should be used sparingly so as to not lose its effect.

    I support self-administration of IV bags. It won't ruin the game. Add some caveats, like time, and it can't be abused mid-combat. It won't affect teamwork. Running around as a newer player and a lone wolf, I was confused when I couldn't self-administer saline through an IV. It just felt so simple and intuitive to do so, but dangit, I just couldn't. I ran around for 3+ hours with a black and white screen, scrounging for food and fluids. I honestly thought that not being able to give myself saline was a bug in alpha. People don't team up because they're all "Gee, I should team up so people can give me saline." They simply don't, and if you think they do, you're delusional. Blood transfusions are more effective than saline bags, anyway. Those ought to require teamwork because the payoff is much bigger, and for other obvious reasons. So yeah. Blocking the self-administration of IV bags is not "rewarding teamwork" -- it's punishing newer players, and it's punishing playing alone. Keep the "rewarding teamwork" argument for blood transfusions. So much passion, claims the sky would implode if this were to happen, and other such nonsense and hyperbole. Sheesh people. If "Self Administration of IV bags now possible" were to be added in the next batch of patchnotes, nobody would bat a freakin' eye. And you know it. </thread>

  20. Forcing people to have psychological side-effects just seems silly, awkward, and out-of-place for me. It's telling me, the main character, how to think. And that just doesn't jive with me, if ya smell what I'm steppin' in.

    I posted this, knowing full-well that the patch-notes came out. 7 levels is more detailed, and informative, over 5. And it just fit nicely with some of the other things I was presenting. *shrugs*

    Taking a glass bottle and bashing another player on the head, and rendering them unconscious, could be an additional idea. Then you're left holding a half-bottle sharp that can poke out eyes. Not too keen on the toy weapons, that seems a little bit silly to me. Just add an honest-to-God nailgun and be done with it? Could be useful in crafting, too.

    Sewing makes sense, if there were pins to go along with string. Or a sewing kit of some sort. Duct-tape is infinitely easier, though. Duct-tape is just magical, we all know, because it fixes everything.

    Damaged Inventory Ideas [SA]

    The more damaged a backpack becomes, the fewer inventory slots it has. Ruined backpacks have no slots. When a slot is deactivated, the item in that slot drops. Damaged canteens/bottles/drinks leak fluid over time. Damaged food items may spoil/rot over time. Bullets (especially) have a strong chance damaging/ruining things in your backpack (ie: think exploded cans of beans -- travesty of justice!). Being able to splint anything that is broken/sprained would be boss. Makes ropes/sticks more useful. Couple that with painkillers and you're good to go. Otherwise, I'm okay with some limping and/or whimpering. The more damaged the boots you wear, the less distance you can fall before bad things happen (breaks/sprains). I suggest these things because damage is a GREAT way to keep the PVE alive and interesting, and to promote banditry over hapless murder. Thanks for reading. Can of beans for your thoughts!
