Is there going to be some Battle Royale in the Standalone like in the mod? I have seen some videos of Silo playing Battle Royale on youtube and it looks epic. Anyone know if this is going to be a cool extra way to play this awesome game?

For a game that is striving to be a realistic survival horror simulator wouldn't it be appropriate to have gore in game? I mean right now we don't even have blood. I'm talking about realistic amounts of blood, realistic decapitations from 7.62 round hits, grenades and IED's that tear people in half . I want to see Zombies that can be chopped up and that don't de-spawn as fast so people would see the devastation that went before them. I genuinely feel these things would definitely add to the overall immersion of the game. I would love this game to add more horror to this game and i believe that more gore could add so much more to this game. Would you like to see more horror and gore in this game?

I thought that they had supposedly fixed melee, wow, it just seems as broken as ever, im sure melee worked better in January than it does now!!!

OK so the random character wipes have stopped for me after re-installing DayZ thank goodness. But what is up with the constant server resets, i tend to try to stick to the same server when i play and it seems that they are all resetting after only 15-20 minutes. Really puts me off playing this game altogether!

Thanks for the help but nah mate, i was joining back to the same server, I had my character wiped about 3 times yesterday, everytime after a server crash/restart and joining back to the same server after restart.

Yeah i had a player wipe after spending at least 90 minutes on a character, was i just really unlucky or are other people experiencing the same as me?

Tried drinking from the well and drank many cans, no change, same goes for eating, zombies have no interest in players either i hit one and zero fucks were given, unfortunately this patch is severely broken. -
I enjoyed this game when it was at build 0.29 for a short period of time and then the seriously buggy zombies quickly stopped being funny and became tedious and frustrating. We are now at build 0.48 and the game feels like it hasn't taken any steps forward. All the severe problems from when i first bought this game are still very much here and even though the patch notes states that the simple things have been fixed like zombies going through walls i am still very much seeing the same things i was seeing 9 months ago. Im wondering if there is something seriously wrong with development now and that this game will most likely never be finished. I wonder how long it will take before all the people screaming alpha finally accept that this whole project has been a disaster.

My experience of the latest update and loot respawn. I spawned at Polana ran to NE Airfield and i never found anything other than a shotgun. I met 2 German guys there who hadn't found anything either. I said i was going to run to Veresnik mil base as i felt like NW airfield would most probably be camped by bandits. On route we bumped into a Swedish guy at Krasnostav who decided to come with us. We headed straight to Veresnik looting Novy Sobor and Stary Sobor on the way. The Swedish dude had an English friend meet him at Veresnik. So far we had only had a shotgun, a Blaze, the CZ without mag and a couple of pistols between us. We parted with the Germans at Veresnik and the 3 of us decide to continue to loot on to NW airfield, and then Bashna jail to the north of it, Zelenogorsk mil base, Pavlova mil base and then of course Balota. Of course checking all police stations, piano houses and other places you expect to find guns. By the end of what was a 4 hour loot run all we had to show for it was an SKS, a Blaze, and the Swedish guy had only a pistol :( We also had a couple AK 101 mags and a couple AKM mags but not any 5.56 ammo boxes but. We did find the occasional 7.62x51 box and a few more 7.62x39 box. I think either something is very wrong and loot isn't respawning or if this is the way loot is going to be from now on people will stop playing DayZ all together. Surely a 4 hour loot run should be enough to find three guys some decent weapons but instead we felt cheated. I understand that food, drink and weapon spawns should be lowered so that you don't instantly have a gun and need to earn food by hunting. But to the point where it feels almost impossible to find a decent weapon, even a weapon at all. Well at this point the game stops being fun. -

Right, I still don't understand the new loot spawn system. Hick's said that when you pick up an item another spawn's somewhere on the server. OK fine, but if all loot is persistent wont that mean that the server will slowly just fill up with more and more loot? There must be something to clear up all the excess loot i'm guessing? Can someone maybe clarify how this whole system works? -

Seen loot in some random places i have never seen loot before, like in the middle of the street and in front of doors, im guessing loot respawn aint working as intended lol. Anyone know if tents and fridges in yet? -

Finally loot respawn! its only taken them 7 months :/ This will finally stop the constant restarts and avoidance of any servers that havent recently restarted. Hopefully they will have servers on 12 or even 24 hour restarts from now on :) -
Wehrmacht never wore swastika's on there uniforms it was the Waffen SS that wore swastika's. The Wehrmacht had the iron cross and the eagle that i dont know what it was called on their uniform. I would imagine that it would be perfectly fine for them to add in some Wehrmacht gear without worry of people screaming some neo-nazi bullshit.

People do only spawn in the NE but i believe the biggest problem with people not being in the SW is that there are not enough slots on the server. I believe we need at the very least 70 players on Chernarus to get a decent amount of action on the whole of the map.

It would be real nice if we could have a little hand spade that takes up maybe 2 slots in our inventory for those that like to dig for worms rather than having to waste all that precious inventory space by carrying a full size shovel around. Just a thought!

Finally an experimental patch which is of great quality, played about three hours of it tonight and was probably one of the most memorable plays that i have had in DayZ! Well done devs, hopefully this is a sign of the things to come!!! P.S. I do believe that nights are a tad too light, somewhere between what it used to be and what it is now would be best imho. -
