Hi guys This is not a winge, I know the game is ALPHA I know there is bugs, but recently I have died quite often just standing still in a building, generally the 3 story ones with the attic at the top and I just get my leg is in pain you are dead. On many occasions my friend has been with me and can confirm I wasnt shot, my pants and shoes were ruined. On some occasions I catch its before it kills me and I just take damage / get ruined pants. Is there any tips to avoid this? Last night I lost an ungodly amount of good gear to this coupled with a server reset. I know its a bug, I know its ALPHA, I know it wont be fixed soon, I dont care, I just want some community input on trying to avoid it. Thanks!

Yeh, well you have some nerve accusing someone of wall peaking based on no factual evidence other than your friend does it. Who are you again? Why the fuck are you accusing me of exploiting? not that I have to justify it to the likes of you but on 2 occassions I was looting the shelving unit and died, and last night on the 3rd occasion I had just reached the top floor and was looting a beanie off the ground. So, I love ambient occlusion but it drives me crazy how blury the game becomes with Pst processing on the minimum setting required to ambient occlusion to work (low) Is there any way to have some middle ground, ambient occlusion working without having to use PPA and have a terribly blurry game? Or am I doing something wrong, the game does look stunning with PPA on low and ambient occlusion on, but the blurryness just makes it impossibly to play properly

Bayonets were quite often attached when taking long range shots in both world wars, they add extra wait to the front of the rifle which means muzzle climb is easier to maintain and would mean follow up shots would be easier to find their targets. Bayonets would definatley make the weapon more cumbersome when firing from the hip / any unsupported position, but from a supported position a bayonet simply helps.

So I was stuffing about in one of the cranes in elektro and all of a sudden I just died, no headshot sound or anything just dead and a message saying my leg is in extreme pain? Normally when I get 1 shot killed I hear the bullet thump, reckon it was a glitch?

Hi guys, So recently ive been havnig a fun time with flares n such on night time servers and really loving the immersion, im not very up to scratch with programming and renders and such but in the future will the dayz crew be able to do anything to stop gamma exploiting? I know in a mod I play for Arma 3 the devs have basically hung up their boots on the subject as they are just roadblocked. just curious if anyone knows that this has a possibility of being addressed?

Hi Guys, So I have found the following so far - Rope + Animal pelt = Leather Bag - Rope + Fishing hook + Ashwood stick = Fishing rod To make a fire pit - Cut down a tree, get the fire wood, if you dont have sticks already drag your axe on the fire wood and you get the option to chop it into sticks. Once you have a stick drag your rags onto the stick to craft a fire pit. Once that is done place the fire wood onto the fire pit by dragging it there. Place matches in hand and ignite fire. The rain will put your matches out so be careful. I found you can cook lots of things in the fire, you just drag animal meat into it and it slowly turns red but It never cooked, when I ate it I got sick and needed charcoal tabs. Not sure how to get the meat to cooked or even if its possible You could also cook your beans in there. Can anyone confirm that you can use the cooking pot / pan to cook now, and if you can how? Apparently you can upgrade the fire pit to a furnace? Anyone know how?

Hi guys My DayZ does not seem to save my graphics settings, every time I join the game my Anti aliasing is set to HIGH when I want it VERY HIGH and my Ambient Occlusion and Post processing are all the way down. Anyone know why this would be happening?

Not entirely accurate. In most cases suppressors actually slightly increase velocity, it is an insignificant increase but stands to reason that they do not decrease velocity, thus 'damage' is not affected. Again, in most cases a suppressor will not significantly reduce accuracy.

So, I dont mind getting killed, im actually quite bad at this game as I only give it a few hours here and there due to playing way too much Arma 3 breaking point (which rocks btw), and due to it being so horribly optimized at the present time. One thing I notice though, is every time I get killed I have some fuckwit 12 - 20 year old yelling the crudest shit, either while trying to kill me or after hes killed me. This isnt a WAAHH KOS rant, I enjoy KOS, its part of the game and its what makes it great but for fuck sakes do we need all the "naww you dirty c**t I fwaaarkin nailed you son" If I walked into my kids room and he was talkin shit like half the smack heads in this game I reckon id jam his head phones down his throat. Someone show me the light, cause I want to enjoy this game, I just dont want to listen to these idiots.

Hi all, Very much trying to get this game to appeal to me more and more but one road block I keep hitting is the horrendous FPS in towns, some people tell me you just cant fix it so im reaching out, can you? My PC specs are i74930k @ 3.5 GTX780 16 gig ram SSD Asrock Mobo with liquid cooling As far as I know, thats a pretty beastly PC yet on max graphics Id be doing well to pull 25 - 30 fps in large towns? I run everything on Max / Ultra except for bloom, and PPA (the one that makes your shit blury?) I have also done all the fps 'tweaks' in the game files as listed in some threads I searched for. The only way I get more frames is to drop objects down to low, but it fundamentally pisses me off that I have to do that. Any advice, or is it just 'dayz' at the moment

Alot of fancy stuff in your sig I dont get but it sounds expensive like alot of my stuff (i wish I knew more about computers, I just tell the guy 'give me the best shit') :P I watched a road map thing of dean hall, does any of the stuff he mention in that pertain to increasing FPS? I couldnt care less for anything right now other than more frames..

Whats occulasion? and why nothing below normal? (im assuming your going to tell me the same thing as shadows, makes it render of your GPU not CPU or something to that effect?)
