I would like to see some kind of CB Radio type system. Would be pretty neat. Or even an actual radio tower where a player could enter and broadcast to radios in other locations or carried by players. Then here the gunfire as someone silences his for playing Top 40 garbage.

Every once in a blue moon there were some cool people I could chat with while traveling is all. I guess you're all right about the spaminess. An then there were the people using VOIP over side driving me nuts.

I put 4 DMR rounds into a guy hanging off a black hawk once. He didn't die, but also, black hawks don't belong in Day Z. I managed to abort while he was spraying the forest looking for me. -

The latest beta patch nerfed a lot of weapons in Arma 2. BIS adjusted things for their game that do not necessarily translate well for Day Z. You can unload a makarov magazine into a player and have him still be standing there, albeit bleeding out and unhappy. -

Like... eight. Seriously. It can still one hit kill with a headshot though. Revolver/1911 is like 3-5-ish. I know people like to go "hurr durr just headshot all zomberz," but whatever. -

Sounds like how I played when I was solo. Spawn in Kamenka, hit the three stands North and live in the woods after finding a knife, hatchet and matches. I've gotten more adventurous since some friends joined me. -

I agree that it is one of the bigger problems to be addressed, but I have no better idea on how to do so. You don't want to take away the vehicles that are ultimately fairly found and utilized, but you don't want people never have the chance to use them. I'm just really not sure. -

I can vouch that I also have this problem. I had to abandon Berezino cause I couldn't see anything outside of this glitch. I'm running on an AMD card. -
I'm not revealing my list. I need them to conveniently gear up. If I only take a little at a time, then they never move the camp, and I can always come back.

I keep a notebook of camp locations on servers. It's my favorite way to gear up.

The textures are not that good by default. I hear there is some DLC you can buy for Arma 2 that replaces these textures with something better, but I don't have it. I just deal with the poor textures. -
Zombie spotting distance gone mad?

Since 1.7.2.3 it seems they have a chance to... "critical" sight you. I have been moving across a field, and no zombies see me, then one randomly notices and goes apeshit. I think there is some RNG chance of supersight or something. I don't know for sure though, obviously. -

maybe the server still had side/global chat for some reason and were broadcasting it over voip? Just a guess.
