Use third party software. There are so many I'm not going to go through them all. A search should bring you to a number of threads that have beaten this to death already.

I don't even join another server. Just reconnect to the same one. Seems to happen recently since one of the patches. Didn't used to be so simple.

Tell that to the sniper in a hill that picks off 3-4 guys before he's spotted, or topically, before they all disconnect. -
When I get sick, I log out and log back in and then it's gone.

Last beta patch, or the one before, fixed (or broke, depending on how you look at it) dropping all your gear when you swim.

Trap tents can sometimes be the best tents. People see a tent in the middle of a town and they tend to avoid it.

you can swim with your gear now. One of the more recent beta patches fixed that.

Possible, I have two particular servers I frequent and have camps on both in the same place.

I've been getting this too on some specific servers. I'm not in shock or anything; I just log in unconscious every single time. I have read some where you have to basically suicide and respawn to get rid of it. Something to do with the shock effect applying incorrectly/permanently. It's annoying.
