The tetris wars have begun.

Basically, I think it would be awesome if we could get a Megaphone added to the game. I feel that the VOIP Range is very limited, and I'd like to have a way to increase it. A megaphone would spawn very commonly in construction sites, and commonly everywhere else. This could be useful if you were desperate, and trying to find someone to help you i.e Broken Leg Just today, actually, I tried to talk to someone who was too far away, and I couldn't, thus I came up with this idea. I don't really have much else to add to this, so I guess that is all.

It would be cool to have the extra pouches on the side where you could only store ammo and/or canteens.

I often kill people before I take their pants off, though the only people I really kill are fresh spawns that get in fist fights with me.. It's fun to get a kitchen knife and hide it in your pants, then get in a fight and pull it out, half of the people run as you do it ^^

Speaking of scaring people with VOIP, this dude had this like radio talkshow thing on, and it was all like happy weather stuff, then dark scary music came on, and a very low voice started speaking "When you take your kids to the park... Make sure you check the colors of the helicopters... Black is probably a government agency and you should bring your kids back in right away. Blue, is probably the sheriffs office and you should go back inside until they leave a flower at your doorstep so you know it's safe. If the helicopters are white, it's probably a terrorist agency and you should run inside as fast as you can and take cover under a desk. And remember, Gatorade is basically soda, so give your kids plenty of water, and maybe some orange slices at playtime" And then I died..

Thank god.. There are some people who would rage at you for DayZ (See what I did there?!) for killing them in... DayZ...

Lol, I could imagine that! I think it would take up something like 6 slots, as megaphones are freaking huge compared to the other crap you put in your backpack, and it would be awesome if we had echo on blowhorns, hehe...

I find no humor or amusement in this at all, nor do I believe it at all. If your friend really did stop being friends with you over this, he's a freaking 2 yr old baby. It's a game. Also, you should know that if you see a dude and he doesn't shoot at you right away, don't shoot him like that, especially since you were on TS/Skype with your friend and you knew he was in Elektro.

Sniping is very hard at first, and it doesn't get easier because of the fact that long range scopes are the rarest damn thing in the game. Anyway, I don't want to make this too confusing for you, but basically just use math class skills that you've learned ever since 4th grade for zeroing. 200-240 you'd round down to 200, 250-290 you'd round up to 300, very simple. The hard thing is aiming at 300m+. With a mosin, it shoots slightly to the left of where you are aiming at around 300m+, don't worry about this too much, but when you get better at sniping, remember that.

Yeah, hackers.... I've actually never had a hacker ruin my day before on this game, but at my 91st hour it finally happened. I'm sitting in Balota, with my Mosin that has a Pristine Compensator and a Pristine Long Range Scope.... You know, pretty easy loot to find, right? Then all of a sudden as I walk downstairs in the PD building, and I get a black screen and a message saying "you are dead". My first assumption is that I was shot by a sniper from an enormous distance, but I realize that is impossible after I went back to Balota see where I could've been shot from. I was just under the staircase, and the door was closed in the room next to the staircase, nobody could've shot me through the window, and I heard no gun noise. I also heard no footsteps after I died, so it was obviously a hacker. Sad that some people have to go to this level that they are so stupid, that they can't play a game, but instead have to ruin it for others.

Nope, I wasn't running while going down the stairs. I was slowly walking, and I died when I got to the door, which was about 5-10 seconds after I reached the bottom of the stairs. I have died from ladders 4 times before, though... #Alpha

Ok, title gives away what I'm saying, but I'll tell my story. Me and my buddies were heading back from Balota to Elektro, planning to hold some people up. We ran into a somewhat fresh spawn around Cherno, and we cuffed him. After talking to him, he said he'd just bought the game, and he obviously had no idea what he was doing. I planned to kill him with disinfectant spray, but I sorta drank it myself *Facepalm*, but I did feed the rest to him. Then I just got impatient and I unlocked his cuffs, told him he could go, right.... He starts running as fast as he can, while I'm casually pulling out my M4, and you guys probably know the rest.... I only shot him because he was asking to join my clan and telling me what not to take.. He also has to learn that Cherno is NOT a safe city, at all. Next time I might help a Bambi, to redeem myself...

It's called forums, dude. General Discussion is for sharing stories, asking questions, and asking about future updates. I actually enjoy reading DayZ stories more than I like watching videos of them (Imagine that..), but your opinion is your opinion.

I dislike it when people murder new spawns, it's just so much of a hassle to respawn if you're a new spawn. I hated doing it because he was all the way in Cherno, he must have been walking for a while :(

Earlier today I held up a Bambi... I cuffed him and I was with my buddies, one of my squadmates had a pistol held to his head and he kept saying "You're gonna shoot me aren't you, let me join your squad, I'm new, Please don't shoot me, Don't take my helmet". I would have let him go free if he wasn't so annoying about it.. Basically, I took what was useful, then I tried to force feed him disinfectant spray, but I sorta drank it myself... I recorded that though, so it's quite funny. Then after I drank some, I fed the rest to him. It was a waste, though, as after I unlocked the cuffs, I shot him in the back with my M4. I felt bad at first, but really, he was in Cherno. (He was new to the game) He must also learn his lesson that Cherno and Elektro are NOT friendly places, so I'm glad he ran into us. Though I still wish I would've helped him :s

Ok, so today I had a bittersweet feeling. I'm also regretting almost every decision I made then. Let me tell my story. I was in Cherno, heading back from Balota on my way to Elektro. I decided to stop in the (I think it's a hospital) hospital. I was on a fairly light server, only about 10 people on, so when I heard re-loading noises, I assumed it was just a glitch. I was in a staircase, so I was in quite a bind. I heard it above me, so I decided to aim at the staircase. I was going to chat to ask him if he was friendly, but again, I was in a staircase, I didn't know what weapon he had, and he had the height advantage. I only talk to people if I know they don't have a gun, or if I have my gun aimed at them. Anyway, I aimed my M4A1 at the staircase, waiting for him. It happened quick, he ran down the stairs and I had little time to react, so I blasted him with 36 rounds from my coupled magazine... (This was the first time I'd used the M4 in-game...) After he basically turned into a fountain of blood, I went to check his loot. Sadly, I ruined all his stuff, except for one of the rarest things in the game... A Pristine Mosin with Pristine Bipod, Pristine long range scope, and a bayonet. I really wanted to take it, but I couldn't give up my M4. Now I'm regretting not talking to him to see if he was friendly, and I'm regretting not taking the mosin. I've decided that I'm going to go to Elektro and sit in a building and watch people. I will kill anyone who preforms hold-ups. Hopefully I don't die...

Ouch man, that no message received crap has saved me before, but it's also kicked me while I was swapping backpacks... #AlphaProblems

I've actually never tried to kill anyone that didn't have a gun, I tried to kill one dude that I was "friends" with, we just met on the server... I decided to give him ammo *facepalm* then while I was eating, he shot me in the face..

I agree, I hate the loot dropping times, especially if you accidentally drop something and it doesn't appear...

I was in Cherno, I am redeemed! Seriously though, I know that KOS Is a standard in Military areas and major cities such as Berezino, Cherno, and Elektro, but I still wish I would have been able to talk to him, I think I would've won in a firefight anyway, since I had an m4 and he had a Mosin and it was Close Quarters..

I did take the LRS, he also had a PU scope, and I would have taken that, except it was damaged, and iron sights are better than a damaged PU. I did have fun, and I ended up dying later from some dude that shot me while I was climbing a ladder in Elektro.... I agree with almost everyone here now, shoot anyone that has a gun on sight seems to be the best way to play the game. I wouldn't shoot anyone that didn't have a rifle, just hold them up....

G18 Automatic Pistol. It'd be great as I could hide it in a combat vest or jeans, and fool people into thinking I'm not dangerous, and that I don't have a gun.

Aye, so now that my sins are forgiven and I have your blessing, that means I shall go murder everyone I see, right???
