How can I download the latest versions without Six Updater? Do the Swedish and DE mirrors also have the files in English? Does it matter? Honestly I don't like using that program and if I can avoid it I will.

There's a workaround where you drag the gear menu to the side, but obviously it's not ideal.

Just replying to this to bump and also list this bug report topic in case a solution gets posted: http://www.dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9153 For now there's a temporary workaround for using items (though campfires and animal gutting seems to be busted). Right click on the item - which should bring up the action menu that's blocked - and then DRAG the gear menu to the side like a window on your desktop. It should uncover the options.

Same issue. Right-click dropdown menus for any gear menu items are hidden behind the main inventory instead of on top, making them impossible to click if part of the menu doesn't "stick out" past the rest of the UI. Happens on any server I try.

NO There's a reason the Bandit morph was removed, and this is similar. It's another "scarlet letter" that punishes self-defense.
