Everybody does not value their gear over their characters. Also I have not read one character progression idea besides hair growth or worn clothing that does not have massive flaws in it. Perhaps you would like to suggest something ?
-
Maybe something like Glienicke Bridge would be suitable, except in these situations the "spies" would exchange something and then return to their own side.
-
This is quite unfair to one party.

Magical items that work like plugging into the matrix and downloading the skill set, these items disappear after this.. magically. Im not sure if this is realistic enough for a lot of people.

Server Hopping has become godlike post patch

haha sorry I got you confused with the other dude. My posts were all constructive to the topic of discussion, they questioned the idea with the purpose of developing a better understanding of the topic. Again questioning how GPS would work in relation to the handheld device, is to better understand and develop discussion about how to implement this in the game. The point of powering the device was started by a suggestion that the battery would not last a long time. So either you did not read the thread or your reading comprehension has failed you in this case or it is you who is the troll. Also I do not appreciate your insults (calling me a troll) or your lies (saying my posts are unconstructive). So again I suggest that it is you who is the troll because 100% of your posts so far in this thread have been off-topic and a personal attack on me. This is what most of us agreed upon early on in the discussion. The other dude disagreed and when asked for evidence, failed to provide any.
-
In case you didnt read the entire thread. Many people disagree with that view point.
-
I think you might be looking for some kind of moral reason why its here, but its simply a technical reason. Im sure if there was a way to make it more realistic then they would do that.

1pp is not suitable for this open world game Now if I told you that a combination of 1pp and 3pp is in DayZ simply because there is no alternative, would that satisfy ?

"The first two quotes are the only things you've offered up as answers. They are by no means clear and none of them are actually complete answers. Please direct me to where, in either post, you used DayZ to support anything you said. As far as the most recent one, how is it hypocritical? Considering I even started this post saying I use 3PP? More importantly how does any of this show I have a 'lack of understanding of this topic'? You're pulling facts out of thin air. You really can't formulate a coherent thought when pressed can you? I need to stop expecting real discussions on forums." Seems you missed the first page, my answers are very clear. Hypocritical to a degree because your are complaining about realisim while using 3rd party programs. Your initial question shows your lack of understanding on this topic.

that would not really simulate snow, as snow adds depth
-
"Rather than answer anything I've asked you choose to attack things I've said in the past. As if evidence of me using something that's not realistic somehow discredits anything that I've said. Its called ad hominem I suggest you familiarize yourself with it." that is a false statement, I gave you 4 clear answers, while not attacking anything, simply informing other users of a certain level of hypocrasy in your posts. informing other users does not discredit your lack of understanding of this topic.
-
let me know when you find any personal attacks in any of my comments. you are ignoring very valid points and coming up with new questions. you are trolling.
-
You have been answered very clearly.
-
That is a very good question, given his last topic on here. However, there has been talk of Snow servers, but it is said that it would require a completely new map to be drawn, so it may take some time if at all implemented.

OP, may I remind you: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/172136-cs-cutie-school-open-enrollment-starts-today/#entry1754743 You use mumble and are here arguing about realisim. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :emptycan:

I enjoyed the OP! its the thought that counts, dont feel too bad. -
There are points there is no peripheral vision
-
1pp is not realism 3pp is not realism together they aid realisim it is a compromise within the limits of a software program
-
It exists on its merits.

While the first-person perspective allows players to aim and shoot without their avatar blocking their view,[4] the third-person shooter shows the protagonist from an "over the shoulder shot" or "behind the back" perspective.[3][6] Thus, the third-person perspective allows the game designer to create a more strongly characterized avatar,[4] and directs the player's attention as if watching a film. In contrast, a first-person perspective provides the player with greater immersion into the game universe.[7] This difference in perspective also has an impact on gameplay. Third-person shooters allow players to see the area surrounding the avatar more clearly.[4] This viewpoint facilitates more interaction between the character and their surrounding environment, such as the use of tactical cover in Gears of War,[8] or navigating tight quarters.[9] As such, the third-person perspective is better for interacting with objects in the game world, such as jumping on platforms, engaging in close combat, or driving a vehicle. However, the third-person perspective can interfere with tasks that require fine aiming.[10] Hope this helps...
