While this may suit some games, I feel that in this game it would detract from the very essence of it.

Sorry if I appear ignorant on the subject but I am genuinley interested on this topic, so I will give it a shot.. You are talking about muscle memory, you are also suggesting that the mouse should move at the same pace all the time. This doesnt even happen in a real life situation with real muscles, does it ? If I am holding a light object, lets say a flashlight, then I can move my arm very fast. If I am holding a heavy object, lets say a LMG, then my muscles cannot move at full speed. Actions with either item require a different muscle memory. I did read somewhere that the mouse cursor in DayZ, is built on an engine which mimics this.

Perhaps taking notes and submitting a bug report to the appropriate person(s) would speed up the solution ?

Apolagies if i misunderstand, but from reading your story it appears that you Logged into a server, then procceded to kill 4 people who did the exact same thing as you, under the pretence that they were server hoppers, without any actual real proof ?

Not sure if this belongs in the new player section. I am a new user and am still in the process of learning the game. I may develop some sort of playstyle once I can get the hang of it. I like to think that I would I can change playstyle often depending on circumstance or mood.

SmashT has posted the solution, however I would like to post the following which shows more detail of where exactly to look in the notepad file: Go to C:\Users<USERNAME>\Documents\DayZ , and open the '<STEAMPROFILENAME>.DayZProfile' file. (Use notepad) Scroll right down to the bottom, and you'll find this: http://i.imgur.com/AXdlUpe.png . Right there is your latest server that you joined, and its direct IP, incase you lost it and need to join remotely.

Worst logic I have encountered in DayZ: Given multiple warnings about state of the game, complains about state of game on forums.

Sorry I do not have the time to read the OP in its entirety at this time, I may go back to it later. I thought this would be relevant tho... I had trouble with the mouse movement to begin with, I then adjusted some in game settings and it is fine now.

As someone else has suggested.. In this scenario there may be no one operating the sattalites that enable GPS, therefore no GPS regardless of the year.

Hello all, I am Skyline :) Gamer for over 20 years. One of my favourite games of all time, Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, I am told was made by the same company who make this. Anyways, While browsing internet, I came across some stories and videos about this game DayZ. I was highly amused by these and thought I would give it a try... Loading up steam and clicking on the game from the store front, I was confronted by a stark warning about the condition that the game was in. I think it was even advertised by the devs to NOT buy it? Well at this point, I hesitated. I decided to read some reviews before commiting any funds. The amusement continued and I decided to take the plunge. It was tough to start, didnt know where I was, the places I looked seemed to have already been looted, I was killed by Zombie. As of now I have not played very many hours and have only just found some stuff I can make use of... I think I have what it takes to survive, and maybe I can make some friends along the way.
