haha, nice one. :) Oh incase you fail to notice, I simply suggest another course of action, whereas most mods I have encountered would demand, but I can see where the similarities lie and your joke came from.

Will there be consequences for your actions?
skyline-gtr replied to cels's topic in General Discussion
Yeah that may be true. I find the same thing happens in Fifa also. example: you are only allowed to score a goal a certain way, or you are not allowed to use certain plays. Happens in fighting games also. example: you are only allowed to use certain characters, you cannot repeat one action too many times in a row. I often find that people who dictate certain ideas, are in fact manipulating the situation to their advantage. quite sad really how many people do fall for it. -

skyline-gtr replied to sidwulf's topic in General Discussion
Sorry mate but I did not realise that asking you more about your ideas was an arguement and im genuinly sorry if I have offended you. You in fact stated that there were obviously better ways, and I simply ask that you share those with us. -

Yes, I agree it is very sad for me :(. Is it possible you have confused the word immersment and engrossment? -
Will there be consequences for your actions?
skyline-gtr replied to cels's topic in General Discussion
I enjoy the option to be whatever I want, whenever I want. I feel no need to be shoehorned into someone else idea of what a bandit, hero, KoSer is, by some of my previous actions. The fact is, no system is perfect. Especially with computers. It is far to easy for them to interrpret one action or a series of actions as "definition A", when it could in fact be "definition B". No compuer can in fact read a persons "intent", it relys on actions only and when the actions of different intents can easily be very similar or even the same, then you can maybe see the issue here. -
Raw Mouse Input Is Crucial To Immersion

Guys please note that perception of immersion is going to vary greatly from person to person. I for one, cannot be immeresed in an environment while looking at a flat screen and moving with a controller/mouse+keyboard. -

Raw Mouse Input Is Crucial To Immersion
skyline-gtr replied to sidwulf's topic in General Discussion
Would you like to go into more detail ? There is actually what you suggest already implemented in the game if you go to a hardcore server. -
Im sure your view of an asshole could very well be different to another persons. So Im not sure there is a definitive answer to that.

Blood on your clothes if you kill someone?
skyline-gtr replied to pacoarizasystem's topic in Suggestions
IRL there are situations where you would get blood on clothes, hero and villan alike. This could be replicated in the game. It is not neccesarily an indication of a persons intent, especially in post apocalyptic world with actual villans running around. i.e blood from someone else's wound, after a zombie or villan attack, in your attempt to save them. -
It is indeed general discussion. Do you understand the word discussion ? Not ask a newb question forum. Which is what almost all of your threads consist of. Now, please try to understand and comply with my previous suggestions before I make a citizens arrest. :)

Raw Mouse Input Is Crucial To Immersion
skyline-gtr replied to sidwulf's topic in General Discussion
Mate your post is all about why 360 no scope would never exist on DayZ. While ignoring the fact, that I have effectivley nullified your entire reason for making this thread. So I suggest that you were in fact deflecting my arguement, whereas I actually addressed your post in my reply. You now seem to be arguing for arguments sake, just relax buddy. Maybe take the advice I suggested. -
Perhaps you could try: The troubleshooting forum http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/126-troubleshooting/ or The new player forum http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/122-new-player-discussion/ or Google https://www.google.com As you seem to have formed a habit of starting a lot of threads that I feel do not belong here.

Raw Mouse Input Is Crucial To Immersion
skyline-gtr replied to sidwulf's topic in General Discussion
You earlier pointed out that you preffered to use less words to explain something. Now you have taken up 5 lines trying to explain what you wrote in the first half of the first line. so..... "I would like to add that a "360 no scope head shot" is not a feature of raw mouse input in a game like Day Z." has no relevance to what i have posted above. The scenarios were taken from outside of the DayZ game. So in reply to my post that explains how your entire argument is out of context, you have taken what I have said out of context. This seems to be a recurring theme. I suggest that, as you advised me in your patronising post to me, that you take some time to research some of the more technical terms. As there is a clear failure of understanding on your part. -
Actually does own research before placing unreasonable blame on devs/game etc for own inadequacies. Then thanks community for contributions.

I see no basis in reality of what you are saying. I will generalize here because if I dont then there would be no way to distinguish a hacker from a DDOS attack in this scenario. (note both are hacking) So a hacker in a game, usually will go to one server and may dominate the opposition. Tempoary solution: Go to a different server. Long term solution: None as of Jan 2014. So a DDOS attack on a game, lets say on the main hive, will disable the game for however length of time. Tempoary solution: None. Long term solution: None as of Jan 2014

Raw Mouse Input Is Crucial To Immersion
skyline-gtr replied to sidwulf's topic in General Discussion
While that may hold true for browsing the web, using spreadsheets, 360 no scope scenarios. This is a game in which human movement while holding different objects, is attempting to be addressed. I think we can all agree that human movement, however much practice you have, is actually inconsistent, and inaccurate. So I suggest that your argument is in fact out of context. -

Raw Mouse Input Is Crucial To Immersion
skyline-gtr replied to sidwulf's topic in General Discussion
Thats funny because you managed it in a previous post: "the issue this topic deals with is not acceleration. Turn speed limitation and vertical weapon weight simulation is what is being discussed." Now. You suggest your solution is acceptable because it is acceptable in a FPS. While DayZ does use guns in a FP scenario, it is not a FPS per say. Also. Most arguments for the 1:1 is to preserve some kind of consistency with other games. So, someone else commented this: "Acceptable for whom? It's really odd when a person speaks in facts and absolutes when discussing something that's very obviously a matter of opinion and design aesthetic." Which I also noticed in your posts. Before I continue, I would like to ask you a question. Does the following comment sum up in any way your issue with the mouse movement in this game? "Move your mouse slowly from left to right. Now move the mouse as fast as you can from left to right. Both exactly the same. That is what peoples problem is." I -

In a real situation I have to question whether you would get blood on your clothes from shooting a person, especially from afar using a sniper rifle. -

Sorry I dont want your cookie or your patronisation. I have read the OP but it is written in such a fashion that I cannot determine what it all means. Perhaps you could explain in lay mans terms ? -
Mouse acclertation. Can it be turned off?
skyline-gtr replied to bioned's topic in New Player Discussion
May I ask where you got this information that the devs are not bothering with the issue ? -

Im pretty sure you are joking but in case you are not... A human acting in a certain fashion due to drug abuse is not a zombie. -
Survivor Stories: Authentic Leader Boards
skyline-gtr replied to ZedsDeadBaby's topic in Suggestions
I feel something like this may detract from the essence of the game. As some users feel the need to Platinum games on playstation, a similar thing could also happen with this. Meaning that the game would not be played but simply used as a tool to increase leaderboard stats. -
If hunting will come why not fishing as well?
skyline-gtr replied to Sonic-NKT's topic in Suggestions
I think fishing would be an obvious step, I hope it does make it into the game.
