Server Hopping Master Thread to End All Threads
skyline-gtr replied to Spockrock's topic in Suggestions
What would happen in the case of a group of players and one is accidentaly disconnected ? -
Its not possible dude. Bullet spread is tied to a gun, there is no stat to increase or decrease. Same with Camofluage.

Position of the sun in the sky, is a quick way to tell what time it is. Sun low and in the east = early morning Sun high and directly overhead = midday etc etc

Master List of Equipable Items the Community Wants in the Game
skyline-gtr replied to - Karma -'s topic in Suggestions
Title could perhaps use some work, changed to something about Inventory items. Not 100% on this but is it not true that in the current state of the game, alot of those bigger guns, do not go into your inventory ? -
yeah, I aint even mad bro!

I did read the thread, However I suggest that you did not. My first post explains how I expect PvE to be implemented on a private hive. GG no re.

I think the point was realisim.

We NEED some way to identify heros and bandits.
skyline-gtr replied to 1S1K-Airborne's topic in General Discussion
Not sure how you can call a flawed Identification system a humanity system. Not sure why the OP ignores valid points, laughs immaturely at people for daring to oppose his idea while at the same time expecting to be taken seriously. If you want your idea, im pretty sure that when there is a private hive you will be able to create a little mod for it implement your idea on your own server. I enjoy the option to be whatever I want, whenever I want. I feel no need to be shoehorned into someone else idea of what a bandit, hero, KoSer is, by some of my previous actions. The fact is, no system is perfect. Especially with computers. It is far to easy for them to interrpret one action or a series of actions as "definition A", when it could in fact be "definition B". No compuer can in fact read a persons "intent", it relys on actions only and when the actions of different intents can easily be very similar or even the same, then you can maybe see the issue here. Another reason why your idea in particular is flawed is that it appears quite simple to farm for hero status. It requires 3 people I think. One to farm a civ to become a bandit and another to farm the bandit to become a hero. Now these 3 guys can move around out of sight and when confronting another player they simply use whichever of the 3 status is more suitable and send them into view, meanwhile after gaining trust they simply take your stuff, maybe humiliate you in some way also for teh lulz. To sum up, I wuld advise changing your thread title from "We" to "I", and "need" to "want", because it is clear from 30+ pages of opposition to your idea that it is not an idea shared by the majoirty, and you do not "need" anything besides food, water, shelter, healthcare, anything else is simply a "want". -
As far as Im aware, GPS satalites require some sort of positional update data sent to them regularly otherwise they quickly become inaccurate. This is explained on the first page of this topic. It goes on to say that it would not take a very long period of time before this takes affect. Perhaps a few days to a few weeks to become useless for Global positioning.

This is quite possibly the funniest thing I have read on the internet. However, I can accept that if you sat down to play a game and there was possibly a server glitch upon logging in and it killed you, that you would be perfectly ok with waiting a few hours until your next attempt. So I have a solution, when and if you die. Do not log in for a set period. Do not force this upon the rest of the sane gamer population. Thank you.

As there are currently no stats that affect most of your suggestions, I find it difficult that giving a non-existant stat +10 would do anything at all.

sorry error

Press P. Correct timing should show the ghosters.

Try not to judge the game too much as it is still in alpha. It is possible that you might think differently after the next patch, or the one after that etc etc What you can do is make suggestions in the appropriate manner, also report bugs etc
-
wait, you claim this person "got what he deserveres" because of his actions. then when applejaxc proclaims the same thing about your friend, you get all wound up about it???
-
I went up several ladders and never died. Figured I was just "better" at it.
-
Cool B) But I do hope they are not so fuelish in future.
-
even a 1 hour wait, completely ruins the gaming experience. that is far too drastic. will never happen, give up now. thanks.
-
Yeah that makes sense, thanks guys.

You are asking for immediate funds to be directed towards a new server hive to cater to cry babies who cannot handle the game as it is right now. The game as it is right now, is not built for PvE. It would be incredibly boring(yes my view, yours may differ), but I really struggle to imagine what you would be able to actually do. So to sum it up: You got killed, cried, proposed a solution but did not think it through, ignored valid reasons and argued blindly. I look forward to your next move, it should be funny. :)
-
Also your claim is to stop griefing. Now as I have read a lot about this game and watched videos. Let me tell you that being killed is the least of your worries. Your PvE server better have a completely different programming in it to stop griefing because there will be dudes coming on your server to do all we can to disrupt, and without PvP there is not much your going to be able to do to stop them. Things you would have to consider to stop deaths: Force feeding: possibly one of the most hilarious things I have experienced in gaming yet. Training hordes of zombies Injecting Bullet damage Melee damage there may be more and this is just alpha, I do hope the devs can come up with more hilarious deaths before full release :)
-
Well let me start with, I think there will be PvE servers in time, because cry babies like yourself will probably rent a private server and set it like that. cool People killing you in the game, in its current state, can no way be called griefers. No matter the reason or fashion in which they kill you. On the other hand we have people like you who fail to read warnings, reviews etc and cry because they get shot repeatedly, this also shows you lack skill in the game. You then need a outlet for your frustration and come to forums and cry more about how you got killed. Somewhere in this little cycle of you getting killed by players who are obviously better at the game then you, your mind formulates an idea how to solve the problem. This time (you), have come up with the solution to not allow others players to kill each other.

I presented two options, not only messed up connection but also messed up computer. I was trying to speak in laymans terms, if you like I could get a lot more technical.

Possibly meant for http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/81-gallery/ not sure, wont click, I dont even...

its either that DID happen to you or it happened to someone else and by someone else I mean the owner of the server You see multiplayer gaming, is made up of computers and internet connections. to experience lag, usually it would be the internet connection messed up, but I suppose it could also be a problem with the computer itself.
