Im not sure what you are asking for, as far as im aware DayZ would like to be as realistic as possible. Taking this feature out would be unrealistic.

It is highly likely that this could happen depending on technique.

Achievements have been discussed in many threads. While some like the idea. My view is that it removes the simple act of playing the game because some people will only be using it as a tool to gain those achievements.

as far as im aware, GPS satalites need constant positional data uploaded to them to maintain their orbit. If this maintenance was stopped then it would only be a matter of days or weeks before they became useless for the purposes of global positioning.

For those having trouble making any sense of this. I think the point is that the textures on the mushroom may appear to look a bit like a priest. However, I will not be presenting this to any children at Easter.

I think with the current options for degrading of another player then adding children would be akin to asking for a law suit which effectively shuts down your whole business.

Yes that may indeed make the scope 4x, but you also have to consider the effects it would have ingame, given the current state of the engine.

I can't see how 3rd person is helping this game..

Actually he did mention abuse of 3rd person in the OP. This could be because its in alpha and these abuses were not apparent when coding. As for the thread title, 3rd person helps the game by allowing a person to see more then a 1st person view through a computer screen. It could be considered more immersive. However I think your worries could be solved further down the line when more feedback has been given to the devs, cos afterall its still alpha. -
