You seem to be repeated your point that nothing can be considered a simulation, so again, Why mention it in the first place ? edit: it is also quite difficult to understand what exactly you are saying because your grammar/spelling is not accurate. Also I should not have to do a degree on the subject to understand it because you have already done that and if you actually learned something then you would be able to explain it in laymans terms to someone who doesnt know.

I would consider this more a guide to some aspects of he game, as it does not mention a huge amount of stuff that could be useful. Examples: Video settings, audio settings, control settings, choosing a server, renting and configuring a server, patch timescales, experimental servers, rules, server rules, bugs, a map, loot spawn locations, I could go on. So to call it the best SA guide, is not true, as its not the best because a vast amount of info is missing and because of the nature of the info inside it would be more aptly named a survival guide. overall I appreciate the effort and I hope my thoughts can help you to improve your guide.

So your saying that because every single aspect of human is not replicated in game then it cannot be called a simulation? In particular you mention real human death, which would mean that no game could be called a simulation, making it meaningless to even say that.

I dont agree with this at all. People do what they do in game for a reason. Enabling a high score system takes away that reason and replaces it with another.

Are you for or against the addition of animals into the game ? If humans can survive, surely some animals could also right. A few random animals for your consideration: Superb Owls Broncos Seahawks Fox

To find your last used server, Go to C:\Users<USERNAME>\Documents\DayZ , and open the '<STEAMPROFILENAME>.DayZProfile' file. (Use notepad) Scroll right down to the bottom, and you'll find this: http://i.imgur.com/AXdlUpe.png . Right there is your latest server that you joined, and its direct IP, incase you lost it and need to join remotely. Also note a lot of people seem to be reporting server issues at this time.

high scores are not distinctly different from achievements because a high score is an achievement. also some achievements require a certain thing to be done multiple times.

I mentioned earlier that it may be wise to distinguish between a multiplayer and single player when considered this topic.

You may be confusing simulate and emulate dude.

You did in fact post that satalites need orbit correction sent to them and that they would go off path without maintenance. Which is what I said in my original post which you disagreed with, then you posted that which contradicts your disagreement and agrees with my original post. then you posted again saying you dont agree. jeez dude. Also there is a timeframe, the only thing that mother nature could do would be to decrease this. On the same topic but a different look at it, GPS handhled systems do in fact require powre, so im not sure how long they would last as well....

May I suggest your sig forgets that the game is still in alpha and you have only used your experiences to project an image of the game. While in fact there could be many different experiences and interprutaions in existence.

While I admire your enthusiasm, something like this could possibly make some players use DayZ simply as a tool for unlocking these cinematics.

Shooting someone in the face is getting your own way mate. I suggested that because you cannot do that in the forum, it would allow for a different point of view that yours and that it could frustrate you. You obviously do not have much experience on the forum because there are alot of people who dont complain and dont want more, aswell as the kind you pointed out. Also when you say "all complaints and attacks" do you mean "all" or some ?

This is not real life, its a vast software program coded as such that the user can see a graphical display and is able to control movement of a character. Im sure there are many more but one problem that may happen when you allow a certain level of zoom could be that the graphics is such that it would show it very badly drawn or something.

It could actually affect the normal griefer as the people who react the worst to greifing would now not play on the regular servers.
