The Unfortunate Tale of the Dumb Bandit

Well it stared off as a friendly discussion until you decided that because I had only been here 4 days that you were somehow superior to me. On top of that you then decide to lie about my post content. So to say that I have been criticising you is another lie. The only reason for me posting here was to gain a better understanding of what actually happened, because the thread title suggests something that was contradicted in the OP. Seriously tho, If you are going to lie, at least do it somewhere that does not record everything said e.g. internet forum.

Not possible or ethical until you have private hives. As i stated in my previous post which you ignored.

The Unfortunate Tale of the Dumb Bandit

"The axe-wielding bandit then charged RayRay, knocked him unconscious, and i could only watch helplessly as i was in the middle of bandaging. He then killed me as well." "the next my friend called out that he was dead, and then i died without ever seeing the guy appear in front of me." not sure if this adds up...
  4. What argument of mine relates to a percentage of the players being psychotic murderers ? Also I did not argue about "correct roleplaying", my point is that there is not correct way, and you are free to roleplay any role you wish to imagine. Your OP made no mention of morals in a non-roleplay sense. You say some people play like "rude word" well that is simply your opinion mate and many dont share that. If the purpose of your post was to try and get people to understand and accept KoS, then why do you argue against some very good reasons that people do it for ? If you want to put forward an argument about justifyable actions in a roleplaying scenario, then you must consider all roleplaying options. If you change your mind now, and want to argue about justifyable actions in a game, then paying your money justifys any action that adheres to the rules.

The Unfortunate Tale of the Dumb Bandit

There was a scenario a few days ago when someone had met a person and followe them around. He lost sight of this person, found them in a church, he knew it was the same person because he had the same clothes and gear. Turns out it was an imposter that had stolen all the stuffs.
  8. That was only one scenario... here is a few more for your digest. Ruler of the world: All those who oppose me shall die. Humans are a virus: All humans must die, he kills everyone and then ends his own life. Religious fanatic: Starts his own religion, commandments include only the god can live a life, he proclaims himself god and then kills everyone. I could go on if you wish ?
  9. So when you say morally justifiable, you actually mean morally justifiable in a roleplaying sense ? This would suggest that roleplaying a psychopathic killer is simply no longer an option ?
  10. Whilst surviving a Zombie apocalypse would have its own mental implications. I cannot agree with any of these topics, simply because.... Well here is a cut and paste answer I used to reply to one topic initially but they kept coming up so I repeat it "The fact is, no system is perfect. Especially with computers. It is far to easy for them to interrpret one action or a series of actions as "definition A", when it could in fact be "definition B". No compuer can in fact read a persons "intent", it relys on actions only and when the actions of different intents can easily be very similar or even the same, then you can maybe see the issue here." So you can see that no matter how good you think your idea is, if it is based on the human mental aspect, then it is inherently flawed as a computer cannot comprehend the mental state of a human. A computer reacts to input alone and I would suggest that any input that gives a certain "buff" or "debuff", can easily be manipulated.
  11. Hello, I added a couple options to this section of your post.

Wow, I could name quite a few scenarios where this would not be true.

The Unfortunate Tale of the Dumb Bandit

Im sorry you did not comprehend the context in which I referred to the state of the game. It was because, I was going on to talk about desync and lag. Also, I think you will find that when you say "Every single one of your posts is something along those lines, just some technical talk that anyone else could post." You are in fact lieing and making it up.

The Unfortunate Tale of the Dumb Bandit

Please be aware that the game is in alpha. Also while you state my experience on the forum, I suggest that this means you think you have enough experience. Well I am well aware of desync issues and lag etc. May I suggest that you should have taken this into account when dealing with an axe wielder who was clearly out to cause you harm. Again, I think the dumb people in this situation is not the axe wielder but you and your buddy. Also if you think my comments are useless, well you are entitled to your opinion. However, your little story obviously serves no purpose in relation to activley supporting the development of the game and could be construed as ussless.

You understood the situation well enough to be killed. I see.

The Unfortunate Tale of the Dumb Bandit

you said you started healing after your friend got knocked out. anyways, i dont know how the guy is dumb when he managed to kill two people with guns armed with only an axe.

The Unfortunate Tale of the Dumb Bandit

I see, well I hope you do learn from this situation. If you are being attacked and recieve damage, you must get to saftey or stop the attack before attempting anything else like healing.

The Unfortunate Tale of the Dumb Bandit

part of this story puzzles me... You were chased by a axe wielder, who knocked your friend out. Then instead of dealing with the axe wielder, you tried to bandage your friend.

    map vs road signs

I have been referencing this map: http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus#2.041.043 It seems to correspond to the in game names.

    map vs road signs

Yes, why are you compared an in game road sign with a map that is not in game ?

    Reserved Slots

As of now all servers are on the public hive. So this idea would have to wait until private hives/servers. Also, you are not currently allowed to kick people unless they break one of the rules that has been specified. Any server admin who kicks you for no good reason should have their server reported and hopefully disciplined.
  23. As far as im aware, any actions taken on your brothers account should not interfere with your own. With the exception of breaking rules which would punish both accounts.
  24. Oh so I may have been mistaken and it is active with DayZ.
  25. As far as Im aware, DayZ does not participate in the family share scheme.
