The Anti-Game - Why DayZ will stay a crappy game
ctrek 421 replied to tommes's topic in General Discussion
A lot of what is wanted by players as balancing tools will be added. I feel like 99% of people who make posts complaining about the game have never read a Dev blog. Most of the time people are complaining and asking for thing devs have acknowledged and say they are going to add. They will reduce weapon spawns They will reduce military loot They will add animals and hunting They will add disease sickness and infections They will add Base building They will add vehicles They will add more zombies They will add more balancing to try and punish players who kill on site. There is literally so much they are working on and going to add. Complaints about current player interaction with the world is nonsensical. Player interaction is guaranteed to change. People who complain about this game act like this is supposed to be Arma 3 wasteland but with zombies instead of soldiers. Everyone go read or watch the Dev blogs. Read the twitters of dean and the devs. And if you have done that and still are unhappy then just stop playing and keep your opinion to your self. You discourage other people from playing who potentially could love the experience they have in Dayz. Stop telling people to save their money. It says in very bold words to buy at your own risk this game is in ALPHA! -

dude. you are a tool. you can't say an alpha game has failed. It isn't complete. WE DON'T IGNORE IT! WE KNOW THE GAME IS ABOUT REALISTIC SURVIVAL! we want features like limb damage, disease, sickness and such added. and they will be added. so says development. thats why we say "its alpha" you are complaining about wanting things that WILL be added. You think allowing teenagers to play a game with adult character models breaks immersion? You are ridiculous and lack common sense. Isit going to break immersion when you find out females sometimes play male characters and males play female characters???? OH NO!! like i said before what does it take for pixels on a screen to meet your immersion requirements? by your logic no video game ever could be realistic or immersive enough to satisfy your needs. -

yep everyone is right it can never be realistic enough. I mean dying when healthy, energized, hydrated with a fully modded M4 a backpack with medical supplies, ammo, lock boxes and then respawning already hungry with no inventory space and only the clothes on your back in one of the most dangerous areas of the game is not a good enough incentive to not want to die and play like a survivalist. (heavy sarcasm) will you people only be happy if your locked out of the game and forced to never play again after dying once? the reason you can max out so quickly is: 1. not enough zombies to be afraid of 2. all water is safe water. If water was contaminated or diseased you wouldn't be able to freely look for gear. you would be looking for safe water. 3. your wounds don't get infected. this is the same as water above. less time worrying about wounds is more time worrying about guns and ammo. 4. no base building. again more time spent building a base is less time searching for other players to kill or looking for guns and ammo. 5. no proper grouping mechanism. if players could group in game and communicate safely across distance your survivability increases and even potentially decreases and you will have to share loot and care for other players. 6. military loot is very easy to find. guns are easy to find meaning you want to use them and kill kill kill! 7. no hunting or hunting weapons. if players were spending time hunting crafting bows and arrows and using skinning knives they wouldn't be worried about military gear so much. notice anything? did you notice a theme? everything I listed is going to be fixed and added by development. meaning this game and your goals in it will drastically change as new things are implemented. WHEN WE USE ALPHA AS AN EXCUSE IT IS TOTALLY LOGICAL AND LEGITIMATE. YOU ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT WANTING FEATURES AND MORE THINGS TO DO IN A GAME THAT IS IN ALPHA STAGES AND IS ADDING MANY MORE FEATURES AND MECHANISM AS TIME GOES ON. -

Dude bro. You are calling a game that is currently in Alpha a failure. Do you not see the epic flaw in your argument. Thats like looking at the empire state building mid construction and saying "what no roof?!?! That's a failure!" Alpha is meant to be limited in its scope. Not all game aspects are added. There will be more activities and things to donajd worry about as development progresses. Saying a game is in alpha is to remind you that just because you paid money for it doesn't mean you get to think its a completed game anyone can call a failure. ITS NOT FUCKING DONE BEING MADE! -

At least you respawn. This game is a survival game with zombies. FUCKING LEARN HOW TO SURVIVE!!!! Anyone complaining about dying too much is a sissy. Seriously. You want law and order in a post apocalyptic survival game? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Seriously dude bro. Get some friends and play with them. Build a community of people. Start a clan. There is no government in this game to make laws. There are no police. I honestly don't see how this game is any different than wasteland mode on arma3. The only difference is arma is bigger and you have stuff already implemented that will be implemented in dayz at a later date. Maybe when its out of ALPHA! Go play independent on stratis in arma 3 wasteland. You will die a lot more often. Noobs.
