It might.. The problem with some people is, they complain for the sake of complaining.. They'll find something else to cry about -

And if you read the whole conversation we've been having here, you'd have seen that THATS the exact issue we're having. It's on reddit, not on the official forums... -

No, they dont have an obligation to post anything, just as we don't have an obligation to post at the feedback tracker. But this alpha testing works both ways. If devs post where issues are, and what they're doing to fix it, and what their ETA is for fixes, then I ( for one ) can help out the people posting bugs on feedback tracker with this knowledge.. Its WIN-WIN if they do post what they're working on -

To anyone who wishes to keep quoting me on stuff, first of all, I don't care that you disagree with me. Let's agree to disagree. But, there are a few things I will say here, and will stand by: - I love the game so far, and can only hope it will get better and better - I dont care about patches being postponed, as long as its communicated - Communication from the devs needs to improve - eg. Important information should be on THIS forum, not a quote from someone's twitter account, which is automatically posted in "Devtracker" - Communication also needs to be easily readable and more consistent, not at the whim of a dev, who think a tweet is enough to keep 1,5 MILLION testers happy - I seriously am getting annoyed with people who either constantly whine that this or that is not added ( vehicled fx ), or that the game is not yet optimized, etc etc. - IT WILL COME WHEN ITS READY, go play another game and come back when DayZ is done. Bohemia/Dean Hall owes you nothing, just because you paid for an early Alpha, where you were warned before you bought the game, and every time you start the game -

Apparantly, its not just me asking for this... "Deal with it" is not satisfying at the moment, so a change needs to be made -

OMG, you're still here??? You can keep asking the same questions, but differently formulated, and you will still get the same answers... The fact that you ( or any of us ) dont see any changes to zombies, or whatever, does not mean they're not working on it.. Also, optimization does not, and will not happen until beta. If you want an optimized game, I will repeat what I said in an earlier reply to you, and thats go play BF4, and wait til this game is end of beta, or fully released, because alpha is clearly not for you -

Again, I dont care there's a Dev tracker, or that they have their personal twitter accounts, reddit and whatnot.. This is the official forum, this is where information SHOULD be. I don't want to have to click to 3 or 4 different pages to read what 3 or 4 different people post. There is a development TEAM, there is an OFFICIAL forum, let that TEAM post what they're doing a few times per week. If thats a post that sums up whats already on the other 3 or 4 pages, fine. Right now, the only thing the forum is being used for, is people asking when the vehicles are being added, asking when the next patch is going to hit stable, and to complain about bugs. ( which should be on the feedback tracker, not here ) Forums are for information, and sharing thoughts on whatever the forum is created for, in this case DayZ. I come here for information, not to be hyperlinked to other pages for information that should be here -

Bitching? This is exactly the problem most of us have, its from twitter... Dean Halls' twitter, Brian Hicks' twitter, Dayz Dev blog somewhere etc etc.. This whole thing Dean wrote, should be here on the forums, as a stickied read only post in General information. This is where it should be. There could be a daily post here as well from the devs ( let them stop devving 5 minutes earlier every day, and write a short post here on how their day went, and what development there's been... -

My ROFLMAO was for the whole post really... Not for grammar or correct use of a saying, but more the fact that it sounded like the guy was giving the developers an ultimatum; if there's no update tomorrow, I'll...I'll... I'll be really disappointed, and will have to start asking for a refund! Really, if there's no update, despite an update being announced and cancelled twice or three times now, I expect the developers to know more than me, and they'll have a damn good reason for not pushing a patch to stable! If you can't wait for a patch to hit stable, go experimental instead.. Dont complain here, it doesnt help anyone, and posts like Brian made, just make him look like a whiney little kid, whose favorite toy got stolen by a bully... -

You still here? Shoo, go play BF4 or something...It's been said so many times, which is exactly why I told you to learn to read, before posting again.. Yet, here you are, asking the same questions, which have been asked so many times, and answered so many times.. There's developers, coders, scripters, designers etc etc, all working on different aspects of the game ( cant believe I got tricked into typing this all out again ). Just because designers are faster at creating a hat or a gun, does not mean they should stop working, because the scripters and coders are not as fast with debugging and optimizing ( compared to designers/3d artists ) So now that you are also educated, can you please go away? Please? Also, telling me I take on more than I can chew? Is that supposed to be a threat, oh great keyboard warrior? -

It's great and all but can you please do 3 basic things before posting on these forums again??? : Learn to read - especially the warnings on steam and right before you start playing Uninstall the game and don't come back until the game is released as a full game Learn to read - especially... Ah who the hell reads the warnings anyway.. People like you will never learn! -

Well, they dont have to hire anyone extra for that.. I'm sure it takes them the same amount of time, posting on twitter/tumblr, as it would posting here on the forums... -

I'm perfectly ok with no patch today, even if they said it would be today. If they ran into an issue, I'm glad they didn't pull an EA games on us, and decided it wasnt yet ready for stable branch. I would like to also voice my concern about how information is passed to us by the development team. I don't understand why information isn't first posted here ( on the official DayZ forums ), but on devs' twitter/facebook/tumblr etc? Don't get me wrong, I'm not having difficulties finding information and news, with some mad google skillz, but I would like information about the game first showing up here, instead of having to go to several social media pages.. Anyways, lets hope we'll be able to play the new patch upcoming weekend, with no major issues. I hope the devs won't push to stable friday if they still feel it's not ready yet. Better safe than sorry, even if the majority of people complain about another delay. I wonder what they'd rather have: a new patch but major issues, or a stable ( for me its awesome, apart from falling off ladders ) game, and a patch later.. -

You chose to ignore the warning on Steam yourself, there is only one person responsible for that. The FACT remains that this is alpha release you're ( trying to, at least ) playing, and each and every bug is one you will just have to deal with. Yes, a bug can be reported 2 times, 100 times or 10000 times. Bugs will be fixed, when they are fixed. Not because YOU ( or anyone for that matter ) thinks they are entitled to get bugs fixed because they paid for it, but because the developers find the bug important enough to fix! You are NOT entitled to anything, so don't act like you do. If you can't play now, maybe you can next week, maybe not.. In the meantime, take your negativity and pout somewhere else ( maybe try Battlefield, alot of crybabies are there, you might feel at home there ) -

You're not a player, you are an alpha tester! You paid to be able to test this game, help in the development process and have your voice heard. Also, ( as stated so many times ) there are developers, scripters, designers etc etc, all doing work on different aspects of the game. New content is being added, so we can test and report on issues this new content brings. If you want to play a finished game, and be called a player, you should have bought a AAA release from *cough*EA GAMES*cough*, who always release games completely *cough*bug-free*cough*.. What you call nonsense, I find really amazing and I'm happy to test/play DayZ standalone, and report bugs as I find them.. -
Its been 2,5 - 3 hours usually in the past few weeks, so I'd go with that.. On this subject though, havent seen a dev post changes/patch notes for this week..?

I actually like the new sound of the magnum! In that video of the mosin, I dont understand the reload animation though... Gun gets reloaded. With 5 new rounds, but then an empty shell gets ejected? There shouldnt be one in the mosin, otherwise you'd not be able to load 5 new bullets in it...( or am I drunk again? ? -

First post :) Anyway, I've been playing the SA for a while now, and have been reporting bugs on bugtracker and been trying to inform others there on how they can possibly fix issues themselves ( and hoping they would then close their reports, so it wouldnt show up as still open to the devs ). Having not played the mod, this game is like a fresh breath of air to me, and I really dont miss anything in the game. I dont miss cars, I dont miss choppers, I dont miss food/drinks ( if I die, I die.. thats just it ). I do find myself a bit annoyed though with one thing, and I question this alot while playing. How do I roleplay this? How long after the outbreak is this game - timeline? I've read several comments here, usually after a patch is announced. Everyone asking for cars, weapons, food / drinks etc. etc. If the outbreak has occured just a few days ago, I have to admit that finding fresh food and fresh water is possible ( banana's, apples etc ). Also, cars would still run, fuel would still be pretty easy to find, and other survivors would be more helpful if it's just a few days into the apocolypse. ( so no kill on sight - as people are still holding on to hopes of survival together - friendly players and hardly any PVP ) Now, if the setting is years after the first infection, things would be so much different. - you wouldn't find weapons in army barracks, they would have been raided ages ago, and would be scattered throughout the "world", so you would find them in random places, in houses under beds, in cars, in the woods, but definately not in army tents or barracks. There would only be canned food and empty bottles ( which would have to be filled in an uncontaminated water source, e.g. where there are no bodies floating around ). Fuel would be gone, so even if you'd find a car that would possibly run, without fuel it still wouldnt. This would also mean that there would be a lot more bandits/PVP, as everyone is a target then, since they might have a can of beans, and would NEVER share that with anyone - holding on to life as long as possible. So, my 0.02 cents: Set the stage, and develop the game from that perspective. If only a few days into the apocolypse, there should be an abundance of resources available. If years into the apocolypse, everything should be very scarce, hard to find, and not in any logical place ( no cars, no fresh food/water, no weapons in obvious places etc ) And last comment: I love the game for an Alpha, I already have hours ( 80+ ) into this, and I've yet to discover many many places - and hopefully find many other people on my travels, who I can help out with a bottle of water, a bandage or a friendly talk. To those people constantly complaining: Maybe, just maybe, this isnt the game for you, and you should go back to "full" games, with achievements, kill streaks etc etc. This is survival, it's not an FPS or RTS game
