    No loot in .60

Listen, you might make a good point in general but those exaggerated statements do not help your cause. Sure, apple trees and water wells are quite common but they are not available in every settlement. Nit-picky or not, I'm pointing out the inaccuracy in your statements. I could imagine someone new to the game coming here, reading your fallacies and spending 15 minutes trying to figure out where the water well is in a settlement that doesn't have any.
  2. The new update brings a decent fps boost on my machine (HD7970) but I've noticed a severe frame drop while driving vehicles. A friend who owns a TitanX also experiences this. At first the drop is not noticeable but after several minutes of driving you'd be hitting several fps/s, especially around towns. I'm wondering what your experience with vehicles is on 0.60 and if the frame drop might be server related?

    That's simply not true

    My take on DayZ Development

You're making some valid criticism. The problem is that people here don't like to hear that, especially people that have 1k posts (I'm not implying anything, it's just an observation). Many of these guys are bashing anyone who has anything negative to say about DayZ's development. As I've stated many times on this forum, this is counter productive. Everybody makes mistakes, the DayZ devs are no exception. Let's discuss those mistake openly and like grown up people. We have been given roadmaps (in the past) that haven't even come close to completion. Don't see anything wrong addressing that.

    #DayZ Logic

Op raises some legitimate criticism, all you do is make yourself look stupid.

First vs Third Person Discussion (Dslyecxi video)

The game has far too many other problems. Also, having 1pp and 3pp servers renders this whole debate kind of not worth having. But in all honesty, 1pp is more realistic. I think 3pp is the arcade mode in DayZ.

    Players dwindling

Pretty immature response to people that have pointed out some genuine problems with the game. With that attitude, DayZ will run out of players soon enough. With a peak of ~7k players, this game is dying before our eyes. Maybe it's time for some people to take off the pink glasses and stop bashing people with genuine critique. If you can't talk openly about the problems of DayZ, you can't have hope that anything will change for the better.

Big problem with game what i think is it now.

My friend ate a cooked stake yesterday and got sick. Can he survive? I have given him blood transfusions and I'm constantly keeping him light green energized and hydrated. We don't have charcoal tabs :(

    Mystery disease

What a nice way to start a fire :D

    Mystery disease

Gotta love DayZ logic, I just accidentally drunk a whole gas canister of fuel and got energized. Charcoal tabs and I'm good to go :D

Day Z as it should be : The Earth Abides

The game lacks purpose at the moment. Surviving is not a problem at all but making it harder to survive will not make the game any better. What the game needs is to somehow encourage player interaction. In order for this to happen, something radical must be implemented. High zombie count would be a good start but there needs to be more. If they can't achieve that, then the game will remain a PvP shooter.

    Sniper encounter north of Cherno.

Pro tip: When you snipe, aim with the ALT key because you rotate your whole body otherwise, which draws attention and produces sound. Observation: You're a noob.

    The Psychology of Understanding Alpha

I guess you guys might be right. It's just that after playing some of the Arma3 mods, it seemed to me as if the RV4 engine provides with everything needed for the standalone. I really hope that the new engine that they write will kick ass, I really do. I love DayZ SA and want the game to be as good as possible.

    The Psychology of Understanding Alpha

It was related to our Arma3 engine discussion and the fact that it is superior to the old Arma2 engine in every way. I don't see why would they want to create a new engine from scratch (Enfusion), when the RV4 can handle everything they want to achieve (e.g. a ton of zombies, that's why I posted the video).

    Hypotermia

I was playing with my mates on a private server yesterday. It was constantly raining. None of us had cold status or anything but I've noticed that my hands are shaking when I was aiming my gun. We decided to make a fireplace and get some stuff hot (e.g. some cans) to keep us warm. As I was warming up, suddenly a "hypothermia" status appeared out of nowhere. I was sitting near the fire for the next 5 minutes but I died regardless. I spawned at the coast and made my way north to meet my friends again. Another one of my friends got the hypothermia status after 10 minutes and died within 5 minutes, despite being around a fireplace. After some 20 minutes, I got hypothermia again, no cold status before that - just a sudden hypothermia that couldn't be fixed. I made a fire and sat inside. Died of hypothermia or the fact that I was burning, not sure. Have you guys had the same experience on 0.58? * Made a typo when searching for threads (same as the one in the title). Maybe a mod can merge this with the other threads?

    The Psychology of Understanding Alpha

No it wouldn't. Let's take the new render for example. Why are they writing a new render for the SA? Because the Arma2 engine render is written for DX7/8. Arma3 is written for DX11, thereby eliminating the need for a new render. Instead of that, they could have focused on fixing the netcode, which is bad enough even in Arma3 (still better than Arma2 though). Anyway, as I already said I'm not saying the devs are lazy or stupid, I'm just being realistic. I also fail to see you provide any credible argument to your Enfusion hype. You've said it yourself - you know as much about it as I do.

    Hypotermia

Probably, we were very close to Stary Sobor. The server had like 30 people on it. It was raining all the time. What we noticed however is that our third friend didn't get hypothermia and survived (hes clothing was the same as ours).

    The Psychology of Understanding Alpha

I'd have to respectfully disagree. The major mistake with this project was that Rocket didn't wait for the Arma3 engine to come along. I agree that DayZ SA is a great game and all but people are expecting much more than what the engine can deliver, imho. Let's talk about red flags - the major aspect in which this iteration of the RV engine is lacking is the net code. The result is a clunky experience when interacting with the world - sometimes players might be lying on the ground but they are actually crouching when seen by others, a player might be hitting a wall when running but he's glitching through the wall in someone else's perspective, dead bodies might shoot you down, trying to jump over a fence is a key-bashing fiesta, trying to pull out your gun is also a key-bashing fiesta, zombies hit you through walls, interacting with items is impossible sometimes, ghosting issues etc. Sure, the game is in alpha but that doesn't mean that they wouldn't have fixed those glaring problems if they could and I do not believe even for a second that they have shifted all their attention to adding content. Those issues are there for ages and the fact that they've improved some of these means one thing - they are working on it but they can't nail it. That's why I believe that what we see now in terms of responsiveness and interaction is pretty close to what we'll get in the end product. The pace with which they're fixing those engine problems is the red flag. I'm not bashing the devs or the game, I think they are doing great considering the fact that they work with an inherently "broken" engine. I just want to warn people that expect a new melee system or a major change in how the engine handles movement, shooting etc. that it's not gonna happen (imo at least). Those that expect a high number of Zs will probably be disappointed too. We could've had a better game if the devs were working with the Arma3 engine, no doubt about that. The development process would've been way faster. That are just my 2cents on that. I might be wrong, time will tell.
  19. So, anyone that doesn't want the same as what you want is autistic? I mean, the idea of blocking 3rd party comms is a bit of a stretch but your egocentric bullshit post could go without the passive-aggressive attitude.

That 0,54 part of a fly though.
  21. Theoretically, if it is stored in a stainless steel container with no oxygen and is stirred regularly it might last for much more then a decade (possibly hundreds of years). The problem is that it's never stored like this in reality. However if a doomsday scenario is to happen, gasoline might be stored in such special containers and can last for many years (although a normal person won't be able to find or construct such a high-tech container anyway). The army doesn't need to store gasoline, as gasoline can be extracted from crude oil which is easier to store and can last for millions of years (obviously). This is why such long lasting gasoline storing containers are impractical and have never been developed.

Lada is the perfect post-apocalyptic vehicle. It's easy to fix, easier than most 70's cars and has acceptable fuel consumption.

Everyone plays the game the way they want, so...

Nope, sounds like you again assume that if Hicks states it is for "pussycakes" then it must be an exploit. However, instead of assuming things, I asked the mods upfront and they replied that, I qoute: "We don't consider combat logging to be an exploit." I don't see any disagreements here. Saying that something is seen as a cowardly act is not the same as saying something is an exploit. You're making a fool of yourself.

    Should guns spawn loaded?

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the bottle only suppress the sound of the first shot?
