If this would be available in non-military style, I'd like it better. Good idea anyway. But I also would like to see a disadvantage when you take something out of your backpack. For example 2 seconds for each slot an item takes. So if you take out rice, which takes 2 slots, you've got to wait 4 seconds. Or maybe 2 seconds the deeper you grab into the backpack. 1st slotline = 2 seconds 2nd slotline = 4 seconds 3rd slotline = 6 seconds ... 7th slotline = 14 seconds I'd prefer 2nd option where it takes longer the deeper you grab into it. (should work same way if you grab into someone elses backpack, which makes looting harder) Furthermore you should be able to lose stuff when the backpack is open. Press TAB to open the inventory. All pockets (backpacks, wests etc) that have + symbol and do not show the items are closed. If they are open (- symbol) and show the items containing, there should be a chance to lose stuff if you prone or sprint. Toggling +- in the inventory should take some time, and make the appropriate noises, like zippers being pulled. Taking something out of the backpack should force the player to take it off (time consuming) or to get help from a trusted person.

With start of the beta or at latest with the release of the final version, I'd love to see a complete new map. Or at least new maps where I can go to by foot, train or ship. For the time being, the current map is fine and there are way more important things to do first. I do not have any experiences in mapping but I guess that creating a new map is not that a big thing for an experienced team.

I'd love to see zeppelins and hot-air balloons when it comes to 'flying' vehicles.

Canteens, utility belts, and more (now with PICTURES!).

I'd rather have the option to find an ordinary belt where I can attach snap hooks to, instead of finding a military belt like this. I'm aware there will be military equipment but I am much more looking forward to all the craftable stuff. Hopefully there will be enough materials around to craft some kind of similar belts like the suggested one. In the end of the day my toon should look like a survivor and not like a soldier  Did anyone already suggest to craft improvised armor out of newspaper and duct-tape which can be used to protect arms and legs? -
I would love to see farming. Or at least the option to harvest some fruits in nature. Maybe wheat, which can be grinded to flour.

Could have been milk

I do not like the idea. I rather like to see all russian stuff than any western stuff.

I'd like to see the ingame map having the features below. (Sorry if this has been a topic before.) - The complete map should be devided into many smaller maps. - A detailed single map for each city should be collectable. (Using 1 inventory slot) - Those map parts can be stacked up to 10. - Fitting map parts can be glued together with duct-tape. Looks horrible, but thats it these days... - Once two pieces are glued together the name of this new map changes to 'Your map' or 'Player's map' (Using 1 inventory slot, renamable) - If you find another map part and it fits to 'Your map', you can combine it with duct-tape. If it does not fit, it will go to your stack of parts. (There should be an option to replace ruined map parts from 'Your map' with ones of better quality.) - Before the map screen comes up, the map must be unfolded and placed on the ground or a table. (Takes some time, maybe 5 seconds to unfold/fold the map.) - An unfolded map can be 'viewed' by other players, standing near to it. (Same map pops up on their screen.) - Every player looking at the map should be able to point on the map with their fingers. (no permission required) - Every player looking at the map can zoom in/out and move the map (these changes should be active in realtime on other peoples screens. Map owners permission to do so is required.) - Players that have pencils/pens in their inventory can write and draw lines on the map (colour depending on pen's colour, map owners permission to write/draw is required.) (Do not move the map while somebody else is trying to draw a line -----~~~~~\___,---~~) - If you look at a friend's map, having notes and drawings on it, and if you have the same map part in 'Your map', you can copy these notes and drawings 1:1 to your map. (pen required) - Pencil notes are eraseable. Pen's notes not. The more you write/draw and erase, the worse gets the quality of the map. - If you look at the map and a different player tries to fold (steal) your map, a red message comes up on everybodies screen (viewing the map) like 'Player(name) starts folding 'Player's map'.' (Folding a stranger's map takes 10-15 seconds so stealing gets more difficult and grants the map owner more time to defend his map. Or maybe folding a strangers map while someone looks at it is simply impossible. Would be fine for me as well.) - Player Maps can be looted from their bodies or found if thrown away. These maps show all drawings and notes taken. - If you don't get shot or attacked, the condition of the map should stay Pristine. (or whatever the current condition is) Unfolding/folding and writing/drawing/erasing on the map will lower the condition. This needs to be ballanced real well so it stays a survival game and not a map hunting game. I don't want to go for a new map every day but maybe once in a month (if I ever mange to survive that long). - Maps in pockets can get wet easily if it rains. Maps in backpacks stay safe at least from rain. Having an ingame map to share with others and having the write/draw feature would have many advantages I think. Especially for new players who are not familiar with the map. Maybe also for roleplayers. I like the idea of wasting inventory slots for your map and also the hunt for map parts. Getting a map of cities next to mine would probably be one of the 10 most important things to do for me.

Firearms are part of the game and it's ok. But I think there shouldn't be too many of them, so I voted for more melee weapons. Looking forward to craftable weapons. I guess once there will be more infected on the servers, using guns will be quite dangerous. One day there will be maybe 250 or more infected per city. I don't think I would fire a shot unless it is really necessary.

I like most of your ideas. Also from the other topics. I would consider 'climbing' and 'jumping' also beeing possible attributes. Climbing If you're running away from a group of infected and manage to climb a ladder (e.g. fire station, lighttower) I think it would be nice if a few of them surround the building while others will follow you and also climb the ladder. Same should work with smaller walls or other obstacles a human can climb on (e.g. bigger trash containers, cars etc.). Infected will lose this attribute when x% damage is dealt to the arms or legs. Jumping A few infected do not notice smaller obstacles like fences when they are chasing you and stumble upon them whereas others recognize the obstacle and jump over them. Infected will lose this attribute when x% damage is dealt to the legs. Actually it would be great if all the infected would be able to climb and jump but a player should also have the chance to shake them off if fighting is no option.

I agree, there is no barrier but it is very disturbing that some people want all possible weapons added, like this game is supposed to be a kind of shooter where frags count. I hope the developers will mainly focus on the surviving aspect instead of focusing on how many different firearms will be added. Don't want a G3 added to the game...

I like the idea of slingshots and agree that they can be deadly on shorter distances. When they manage to add bows I hope they can also add the slingshot. I'd like to see way more crafted weapons than guns and rifles, which can just be picked up somewhere. These should be very rare.

Fairly good excuse to explain why I slaughtered 7 armed survivors in 10 minutes.

Beans for Rule #2  -
I'd like to see cows (or at least one where I can get some milk from so I can make some pancakes) Will there be flour and eggs?
