  1. As far as power stations go they could maybe add in a hydroelectric station. There are several dams in on the map, they could add in a building at all of the dams that allows a player to activate that dams power grid. A damn near electro would supply basic power(streetlights) to the south eastern corner of the map, while the large damn up north could supply power to that area and so on. They could even have Tidal power stations on the shore or add in wind farms in some of the open fields with stations that can be operated. These can be operated only when they are repaired by using the tools and basic materials that can be found on the map( wrench, screwdriver, pliers) and maybe make them sometime need electrical wires or more specific parts that can be havested from the none functional power plants that are found in Electro or Cherno. I see this as a better stand in instead of reactivating one of the coal plant, the mount of fuel needed to power those plants is to large for a survivor or group of survivors to obtain. One downside of these plants would be that servers restart to often to make these ideas work well. Spending and hour or two to repair a station only to have it reset an hour or two later would be a real "fuck you" to anyone wanting to do this.
  2. This server is great, my group is trying to make this our home server, theres always a good population and the ping is low.

How Many People Were Killed By You?

I mostly try to help people but I have only had to kill maybe four or five in self defense. I recently went on a bandit vacation for one life and killed around maybe a dozen people( all geared to the teeth, no fresh spawns) and I have had a handful of kills that were "accidental" that happened when a bandit was killing people and I killed someone with the same weapons and clothing as that bandit only to find out it was a friendly player, to many people wearing ttsko camo and gasmasks!

    Loot spawning is too formulaic

I imagine that the loot will end up being more randomized like they said it would, its still way to early in the alpha to know how this system will end up working. plus the loot tables are going to get more and more items as time goes on and more buildings are being added to the loot table's spawn list, so they probably need a more finalized list of items and locations before they can really test out a fully randomized loot system. On that note, as far as possibly rewarding explorers they could introduce random abandoned camp sight that can spawn out in the wilderness that could possibly have higher tier items. Make it like the heli crashes form the mod but with a lot more possible spawning locations. It wouldn't surprise me if they are already thinking about this.

We NEED some way to identify heros and bandits.

Well said, DayZ isn't meant to be easy. It actually has a learning curve. A tip for anyone that thinks this is a good idea: take some time and travel in the forrest and be aware of what is around you. I hear so many people complain about being KoSed but these are the same people that just run around on roads, in the open with no cover. Play smart you will have a better experience. I try to take my time, If I see someone geared to the teeth then I will watch them for a while to try and figure out if they are looting or just trying to find people to kill. When they aren't paying attention thats when I move in on them and get a good position to talk to them. Risk vs Reward. Weigh your decisions better and you will have less bullets in you.
  6. The system is intended so that you will not just spray someone and get away with their stuff. KoS is really common but I have been held up way more in SA than in the mod because then they can take what they want without having to worry about it being damaged. Its just a good way to make killing people have a considerable downside. But I do agree that it is unbalanced that one shot in a backpack ruins everything in that backpack. But then again, its an Alpha.

We NEED some way to identify heros and bandits.

Yeah this game doesn't need a system for differentiating Bandits and Heroes. I play as a hero often and part of this risk in helping out strangers is that they might stab you in the back. Or face. But I have had a fare amount of success in being a Hero, most of the time I am able to "herd" bambis together and help them get geared in one of the coastal town with out having one of them try to take a shot at me. People need to remember that this isn't like other games where you are meant to feel like you have a good chance every time you play, this game is the opposite, this is a game that is almost 100% against the player. Adding in some optional good guy, bad guy identification system will ruin a great part of the DayZ experience which is the player interaction. It would make it easy to see who is and isn't going to shoot you. I love that when I run up on people they assume I am there to kill or rob them. So I have to do what I can to make them feel somewhat safe around me(like giving weapons, food, water). Arm bands would kill all of these awesome encounters.

    DayZ Community Live Streams

Here is my Twitch stream: http://www.twitch.tv/t_a_basco I am usually streaming on Wednesday through Sundays from around 9pm EST to anywhere from 1AM to 6AM EST. I am normally playing with a group of 2-8. Depending on the group I am playing with there could be bandit style or hero style gameplay( My default). Good mix of seriousness and joking around.
