I'm confused though... I thought those current issues are happening on experimental right now, not on the experimental of over a week ago that we never got the update for? That one seemed totally fine whe I played it. Why can't we just have that one? ;) It doesn't really bother me though. I got pretty annoyed being spammed with "your clothes are getting wet!" "You're clothes are soaked through!" Or whatever was happening there

Like it had been stated, you don't get a heart attack from running... Just from things like going into shock from being shot or something. Our characters aren't 400 pounds and trying to run 10 miles... They're fairly well in shape. Minimal risk of a heart attack from exercise. As to the server hopping to gear up... I have a feeling that will be fixed a little when the next patch is put in to stable. I played a bit on experimental last week and was almost starving to death trying to find somewhere not looted... Then found a tiny town inland untouched with one of the new circular apartment type buildings and found an m4 and magazine for it inside, so it appears they are adding more weapon spawn areas. Should also mention that building had food inside and a well to drink from. It will get better, but for now, if you look hard enough there is always somewhere with essentials. Servers restart every 2-4 hours it seems and most people on full servers spend more time camping Elektro than looking for supplies. Just keep at it. Or wait for a few more patches and pick it up again

I do feel like we need some more scoped rifles added to the game. The mosin shouldn't even have an option for a scope seeing as how 99% of them have no way of adding the mounts to them without some decent modifications. Very few were actually set up in ww2 as an actual sniper rifle. Personally, it feels to me like they should just remove the LRS and add some rifles with scopes pre-mounted to them. Make them pretty rare for sure, but you'd be much more likely to find a scoped rifle for hunting in a house (especially out in the countryside) than finding a mosin with the mounts on it without a scope, even if it was a smaller caliber. Realism! :) Edit: not even saying they have to be military grade weapons, just random hunting rifles you can find in houses. Military rifles would be pretty fun too, though. I'd love to find an AWM just chilling in some barracks

One time I had lived for days on the same character roaming the entire countryside. Wanted to find an SKS for the first time but had an m4 that I didn't want to leave laying on the floor of a piano building. I said screw it, flagged down the next Bambi I saw, told him to wait for a second... Then I dropped every single item I had on the ground and told him to axe me in the face. The adventure begins anew!

But also a single shot and pulling the bolt back on a handgun like that would be kind of a pain in the ass. If you miss your first shot you better have some cover to get behind

Just seems weird to me that a headshot would only knock them out. I feel like really being shot in the head by one of these would give you more than a headache ;)

Are you going to complain about this all day? Come on, you opted into an alpha game and just complain about the rate at which they release patches... You may as well play something else until they release the full game. On topic: haven't had the chance to check it out yet and won't until Monday but it does look pretty awesome. Always like more handgun options

I just tell people I warned them if they came at me after I yelled I didn't want to shoot them... Unless I'm sniping. Then I usually don't even bother checking the bodies and giving up my position

I almost used this yesterday when I noticed it but saw it wanted to crank all my settings to low for some reason, and I've had better fps running a few things here and there on high and most on normal

I hadn't played the mod before standalone so I had no idea how to talk over a mic. I spawned in and immediately went into a warehouse where I found a courier backpack someone had apparently abandoned. Then I found a crowbar. Things are looking up! Another guy runs in the door behind me and just starts going "hey man" and being an idiot, I hadn't looked into how to communicate. So I'm yelling into my mic "oh hello! Hello? Can you hear me?" And he says "are you there? Hello?" Pull up the menu to see what button I have to press to talk. Meanwhile, while I look, the guy beats me to death with a pipe wrench and steals my backpack (I assume) because I wasn't responding to him and wasn't moving. Good times. Next guy I met was on a night server before I knew flashlights were a beacon. I was using the flashlight in a house searching for food when a guy turns on his flashlight right outside the window. I tell him hi and he's like "hello! Can you please punch me unconscious?"

And to think... It almost could have been me. I was on a server with around 8 people last night trying to snipe server hoppers (had to try out my very first LRS!) at the NE airfield and when I didn't see anyone after half an hour I ran all the way to Gvozdno before logging out... And I have a press vest on lol Alas, I didn't see a single person the whole night, so I didn't shoot at you. Good story though :)

So I just got a few computer upgrades yesterday and was looking for some advice on changing some settings around for better fps if anyone has anything similar and/or ideas. Windows 7 Processor: Athlon II X3 445 3.1 GHz 8gb ram GPU: GeForce GTX 660 (Any other info needed just ask) I'm sitting around 25-30 fps most of the time out in the wild with it spiking up to 60 occasionally but not often. Haven't made a trek into a decent sized city yet besides Svetlo and we all know how bad that place is on frame rates (was only around 16-20 in there) but I've been playing around with some settings in game and nothing seems to make much of a difference. Is there anything I can try setting in the launch options that would make a difference? Also, not sure if it matters, but I can't seem to overclock my CPU anymore than factory. Went into the bios and 3.1 is the fastest it's giving me and my motherboard apparently doesn't support the AMD core unlocking (regretfully) and I still haven't done any overclock on the graphics card Thanks for any help in advance.

Yeah I've heard that as well. Bumped a lot of settings up to high and didn't notice much of a difference fps-wise but at least it looks prettier now. Would be nice if I could overclock the CPU though. I'm looking into a new motherboard now since it tends to be cheaper than buying a new CPU

I've never had a login timer for getting booted from a server when it restarts, even when I was only in there for 5 minutes. Not sure why some people claim they do

I already take all the parts off of m4s I find and drop them randomly in the grass outside. Does it make them unusable? No idea but it can't be optimal

If he's ever planning on playing other games on the computer, you should just convince him to upgrade his graphics card anyway. Any other games that come out he may want to play aren't really going to have lower requirements. He can probably get a decent one for like 40-50 bucks to make the game playable

You can usually find them in decent sized cities. I think there's some in Stary. There's a crapload in Cherno... Like a whole storage shed complex there

Still haven't had a hacker issue, just server admin abuse like killing him or his buddies (obviously not sure of the names we killed) and then the server immediately resets. Suddenly they're back (a couple anyways) with their gear still, manage to kill a couple of my squad, then guess what? Another restart as soon as it happens so no chances of finishing them or getting our guys their gear back. To the OP: some people that play this are complete douchenozzles but it's good you don't let a select few ruin your day :)

I've ran through a fully looted Cherno on 40/40 servers and managed to not see a single person. Elektro is still probably the best bet. Or Berezino. Berezino is where I find all the action now

Can monitors affect frame rate as well? I've noticed even after upgrading a lot of my stuff I'm still topping out at 60 fps and that's the way my old graphics card was too, but on my girlfriends computer with a different monitor and my old gpu, she gets like 80fps sometimes

I never understood the doors not making any sounds. Especially since people close them after themselves a lot of times when they're in buildings. If you aren't watching the door, you can't tell if someone opened it anyways. I want door creaks!
