and are you sure, that you don´t mix PUBLIC and PRIVATE servers? On each type of server you have one character = 2 separed characters ;-)

FIRST - this game is in Alpha stage (use google to understand what it means), SECOND - this notebook is good for browsing internet, play flash games and watch movies, but NOT for gaming! Your CPU is weak, your GPU is even more weak and as I said first . . . this game is still in development and have NO optimalization, but in your case . . . optimalization wouldn´t help. Invest to new PC and keep in mind, that notebooks aren´t the best platform for gaming ;-) and please do not argue, that you can play all newest games fine . . . because thats not possible with your laptop "beast" :-P D sorry for bad news.

thats the problem, DayZ do not support Win XP anymore. Sorry, but thats the reallity . . . so only solution for you is to upgrade your OS. Otherwise . . . XP is really outdated (I know that still works well). New era of gaming needs newer OS ;-)

Hi, I have i7 5820K, 16GB DDR4 RAM, GTX 980....tested tons of various settings and tips....and in the end, I let nVidia GeForce Experience to "Optimize" my DayZ game....and I can say, thats the best setup of all . . . nice graphic and stable FPS (in wild and towns). So maybe you can give a try ;-) -
it takes usually around 4 hours . . . from 8 - 12 am (GMT+1) . . . but as you saw, this could be various. Now its 12 am (midday GMT+1) so servers should be on-line soon ;-)

Do you have problem with written text? You know . . . A = a, B = b, C = c . . . etc...etc...etc.... So open your grammar book from school, refresh your knowledge and than open "Minimum Requirements" of DayZ and READ carefully all letters (compiled into words) there (especially the part of supported OS) ;-)

I have quite same rig as you and after trying various performace tips...etc...etc...and on the end I tested in nVidia GeForce Experience "optimize" DayZ and from this moment. . .everything is fine and nice . . . no fps drops in the cities. Maybe give a try ;-) PS: sorry of my bad english

or . . . go to Settings / Video / USER INTERFACE and here change your resolution and aspect ratio . . . restart the game and than you can switch rendering resolution ;-) -

set up your "USER INTERAFCES" to your aspect ratio (16:9 or 16:10) and resolution of your monitor. this should help ;-) -
you must fill the startoption in Steam due to your hardware specificiation. I am sure, that your i7 processor don´t have 5 cores!!!! ;-) in your case, the commad should be: -CPUcount=4 -exThreads=8 (this is for your i7-4702MQ processor), next parameters are for RAM and VideoRAM -maxMEM=??? -maxVram=??? (don´t forgot that values must be in MB) ;-)

this helped to me: GenevaHelicopter Hunter Members54 postsLocationAuckland, New ZealandPosted Yesterday, 11:49 AM I had the same issue when changing video setting whilst playing. It went to something like 980x600, looked like Doom95! If you have an Nvidia card, use Geforce Experience to optimise settings and it went back ok. Then I was able to change video setting after the splash screen and game ran ok.

no! Chernarussian isn´t technically Czech language! Try use google translator to translate any sentence from EN to RUS and from EN to CZ . . . and if you aren´t totally dumb, you will see two absolutely different languages. Signs in Chernarus are mix between russia language, czech language and couple signs are in english ;-) so open your mind and try to learn something new . . . before you start silly topic!!!! -

one important clarification. Czech language DON´T have cyrilic version. Czech language use only LATIN font!!! So everything in cyrilic (or azbuka) is written in russia language. You can find couple billboards in-land which are written in czech language (for example . . . toilet paper Harmasan) ;-) -

after server restart . . . I logged again to server and during loading character/server data I was killed by zombie. So after "Please wait" message a I got "You are dead" message :-/ nice :-( -

Halo survivals, my friend have this strange problem. He didn´t change any DayZ/Steam files, don´t experiment with experimental beta tests, but all servers kick him out after logging with this message: Signature check time out. What does it mean? Where could be a problem? Thakns for advices Jarmil....
