    Tedious ideas

It's unfortunate that taste cannot be quantified. Not to mention, ideas often end up in General instead of in the suggestion forum. Ideally, though, if you want to be heard? Post your ideas up on Reddit!

    Give civilian clothes some bonus?

There is talk about a stamina system. We may see benefits to traveling light in the near future.
  3. Fixing the Zombies is a multilayer project that is already in progress, that takes multiple teams with different specialties to accomplish: *Pathing AI Improvements *Server performance, for increased amounts of zombies on the map *Engine Optimization, for an enjoyable amount of FPS with said zombies. *New animations for navigating the environment *New models for different zombie types *New textures for those models *Gigantic painstakingly huge Chernarus-wide Navmeshes. *Stealth mechanic: Detection for the zombies *Stealth mechanic: Indicators and stealth system for the players. A project that big takes time.

I Believe I am Having A Heart Attack

I knot this is silly, but the thread title reminds me of one of those life alert commercials lol.
  5. Bear traps would will be amazing.
  6. What I'm excited for are the potential for craftables: Leather, racks for tanning leather, fur, skinning knives. Leather bags, pouches, bandoliers, clothes, coats, ect. Not only will your camp feel cozy, but it will also be functional and have purpose.
  7. >.> Really that's not it at all for me at least. I'm just vain and find M4s to be ugly lol. I wanna look post-apoc mad max with improvised gear! Not like G.I. Joe. But I'm not gonna go tell the Joes not to have their fun!

    Tips for better situational awareness?

That's very comprehensive monkfish, if it isn't posted somewhere as a guide already it should be.
  9. Aesthetics is probably the biggest part of my dismissal of military gear. I mean. Look at the M4. It's a hideous looking weapon. Ugly. Generic. (Mind you this is not an insult to those who implemented it into the game, but rather to the real-life counterpart) I like the aesthics of civilian grade firearms and clothes. Anything improvised is especially sexy. Military Gear is efficient at killing. Too effecient. Makes you feel safe. You DO NOT want to feel safe in a survival game. The stress is part of the fun. That is my perspective at least, hope it helps you gain some insight in relation to your question.
  10. I think that in the time span of three months we won't even recognize the game we are playing, at the pace the devs are going. I juggle other games with it while I wait on content. Might even take a break soon, but the game is certainly worth it. Loads of potential. If someone were short on cash, I'd recommend they wait a couple months. But otherwise, go ahead and grab it would be my attitude.
  11. You are far too belligerent, selfish---and frankly, ignorant for me to continue this farce. There is nothing I loathe more than conversing with a closed mind. I do hope one day you achieve a modicum of self awareness...ciao. Thread aborted.
  12. Zombies are a complex multilayered project when you think about it. They require: *Server performance improvements *Engine optimization *Pathing AI *Gigantic Chernarus wide Navmeshes *New textures for each type of new zombie *New animations *Stealth system: Audio detection for Zombies *Stealth system: Sneaking for the players. The long and short of it, is that it's already a work in progress. Several teams are likely working on various parts of this puzzle. We've seen the progress with server performance already. There is no short term magic bullet for getting it done right. You simply have to wait.

Would you like a black backpack?

Black is my favorite color. I'd also like a black gasmask.
  14. Instead of getting enraged, duckling, will you read what I posted and consider that these things you are howling about are minor changes really aren't? This game? Won't be recognizable in three months. That is a drop in the bucket, no time at all. It doesn't even have most of the core features of the survival genre. When it does, it will be glorious. No one is taking the little trinkets you want away from you, they will still be released with relative frequency. Essentially, this disparity of content is all in your head. And.. As for "Cult" like behavior? This does not apply to me. I thought the breakneck speed they were going up until recently was bound to lead to some trouble. Guess what? Memory Leak. I was right. But I have little to complain about because A. Alpha things are bound to get broken and B. They learned from their mistake, and are going at a much more reasonable pace.
  15. ... Persistent storage is slated for the next big update. Backpacks get tested first. Then tents. And so on. Barricading will come after that. That will be a game changer. The larger projects do not stop the smaller projects from happening. We'll likely still get content as they are pushed out. In essence, there is no disparity for you to plead for. The particle system is going to be redone from scratch at some point. Not necessarily now. Weather synchronization and wetness/dampness are the corner stone of things like hypothermia, wind/weather affecting you aim, the need for camp fires, ect. Server and Engine optimization are key to us having enough FPS to have an enjoyable experience, and are also attributed to us having more Zombies and Players on the map. Zombies have gotten better pathing AI and now generally aim for our chests more effectively. I would hardly call any of these past changes transparent.
  16. Please, don't be simple. It's tiring. No. Development works like this: Different teams qualified to work on different projects are doing so. The people who are rendering and texturing those fun new toys, clothes, and guns we play with are still doing so, while other teams are working on projects that they are qualified to do. The weapons we've been getting one after another were likely works in progress before they launched, hence why we got them so rapidly. Expect things to slow down. There are no resources to divert to this or that, like you seem to think. And really, no, keeping your testers entertained isn't neccessarily the goal. See warning the labels on the Steam store page, and when you log into the game? We're glorified testers. It essentially tells us only to buy the game if we are enthusisats and die hard supportors.
  17. I don't think you understand how development works.
  18. Different teams working on different parts of the game. Every part of the game is being looked at. It's still in development. No one should halt progress on what their working on so that you can have a shiny new hat in the short term. It's kind of ridiculous to ask this. Would you ask someone who's expertise is animating to drop what they are doing and start working on navmeshes or pathing AI for the zombies when he/she might not have any training in the programing skills that would be required? No you wouldn't. Because that would be completely absurd. No one should halt progress on what they are working on just because another team is ahead or behind them. Projects will be pushed out as they are ready. We will test them when they are ready. Halting testing to wait for something else to catch up, short of it being a critical component, is foolish at worst, ignorant at best.
  19. Currency? No. Bartering? Yes.

    Time for a break

Nothing wrong with taking a break if you're frustrated.

Impossible to be "Friendly" in this game. Resorted to Banditry.

It's possible to be friendly. I'll reiterate as I have elsewhere, that it's more than just waving your hand around screaming for favors. You want human interaction? You need to sneak around and watch other people. Figure out what they do. If you feel the need to engage them in conversation, make sure you do it from cover while they are out of position. Make a personal code to follow, some rules of engagement, and live by them. Make sure, if speaking to unarmed people, you keep your distance. You should not talk to anyone unless you have the advantage and/or an escape route.
  22. Darwins law! Annoying voice people are to be exterminated in my new world order. Those going through puberty, those wretchedly annoying squeak-teens, best learn the value of silence... Lest they be felled by my fireaxe.
  23. As much as I would prefer it and as immersive as it may be, there is no deterrent for this as these programs are deeply laden into gamer culture. No reason to be bothered by it I suppose.
