One other person on the server and he killed me
Rudette replied to tigersrule777's topic in General Discussion
Astronomically bad luck. -
I gave him a direct answer, duckling. You must not have read. It had deph. A pity! I also made it apparent that I didn't appreciate the attempt at cleverness by not finishing his title. Let's not cast stones hmmm? Especially if you're going to stoop to insults.

Rain. A peaceful interlude between murdering you.

Well aren't you just adorable.

Admins Shutting Servers Down When They Get Killed

Ahhh! Always hard to tell. Interesting. Maybe I'll thumb through and read it. -

Not to sound like a hipster or anything, but that's part of the reason I got my eyes on more and more indie games these days. With crowd funding, digital sales, and early access(though not right for all devs) there isn't much of a need for middleman big-budget publishers who sucks the souls out of franchises and deficates all over our childhoods until said franchise is squeezed completely dry. I'm looking at you, EA. -
Admins Shutting Servers Down When They Get Killed
Rudette replied to Solopopo's topic in General Discussion
I keep seeing this thread, can't believe it's this long of a topic. Really? Does this really happen? Or is it the equivalent to some kid calling "hax" and "op" chasing some non-existent magical unicorn of an excuse that will make the fact that he/she lost because it was their own fault disappear? Or maybe the threads been derailed and turned into a fruitful disc--..... nah, not here. -
What if people started completing their thread topics instead of prior to wasting my time? It really isn't cute. Stop it. The current buzz words of this chapter in the video game industry are "early access" which means "Gamble on our promises and the potential of our game." Prior to this releasing an incomplete product and charging for it was unheard of, but I think early access will be good for some devs and bad for others. The way I see it: You gambled. You feel like you've lost that gamble? Then that's on you. No one else.

Rudette replied to luzarius's topic in General Discussion
Forget features, but work on stability and release? Core Features need to be implemented to be tested for stability prior to release. PARADOX...DOES NOT COMPUTE.... **head explodes** Why is it so hard of a concept for people to get that people with different fields of specialization shouldn't drop what they are doing to go work on something they have no training for. You wouldn't ask someone rendering models and/or making textures to drop what they are doing and go work on navmeshes. Just like you wouldn't ask a brain surgeon to drop what he is doing to go do heart surgery. Just because one feature is incomplete doesn't mean that another team working on a different component all together should drop what they are doing until the prior team finishes. Do you know how ludicrously slow content would be released at that point? We'd have nothing to do! Why.. Why... Why are basic comprehension skills so lacking? Or does ego and self-entitlement really just completely eclipse rationality alltogether? lolretoricalquestion. -
Personal feelings of military weapons (and future weapons) in this game
Rudette replied to Demoth's topic in General Discussion
True! It's interesting though, in that it's trying to find it's own way after evolving from that. Very organic, astounding to watch and see where it goes. I think over all though, once both games have all their core features, DayZ will be more my style. Mostly because I'm vain and it's prettier! >.> -

Rudette replied to Demoth's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, Rust's art direction is going with the scrapped together junk-rifle almost steampunk kinda vibe. The modern stuff will be phased out. Which I think is cool, since I can get my fill of boring generic military arms elsewhere. >.> I like it ^-^ For different reasons than DayZ, as both games have their merits and flaws. -
While your adding in content.. can we get some cats?
Rudette replied to Irish.'s topic in Suggestions
This could have great synergy with base building. But, for balance, we'd have to calculate how many kittens it takes to paint the side of a house. I suppose it depends on how hard you throw them. -

I just want to dress like a mad-max style scrap-metal armored post-apoc savage and shoot at people with a bow, is that a crime?! -
Fun read. <3

I have this insatiable urge to murder little prepubescents and squeak-teens. And anyone with a vaguely eastern-European accent. The former, because they are annoying and usually lack any semblance of self-awareness. The latter because ... On the off chance that they are Russian, they will eventually draw arms on you. Profiling aside, you are all pigs wearing human skin. I'll kill anyone if it advances my cause. -
Would you play a game with real permadeath?
Rudette replied to bad_mojo (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Thinking on this, the whole idea of hardcore mode/Ironman/ect in most games is to make you live and die by every consequence to every action you take, and walking away with stories to tell about the journey of your pathetically masochistic endeavor. Mechanics that stand between that and the player seem.... counterproductive to the experience as I perceive it. -

Rudette replied to bad_mojo (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
It would have to be a REALLY addictive game for me to go through with that sort of trouble. So in all likelihood, no. Though I'm really not sure what you're getting at with this question. -
Stealth kills; strangulation, suffocation or hunting knife.
Rudette replied to rickyriot's topic in General Discussion
Non-lethal take downs would add some deph and variety. -
Forced headbob for the sake of realism?
Rudette replied to omgwtfbbq (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Headbobing kind of makes me nauseous. Not bad at lower levels, but I think forcing it at all would be inconsiderate.
