Walker, Texas Ranger (the African Canadian version)

Yeah, I wish knives in general were more effective :c -
Earlier they experienced a massive fps drop when someone brought an M4 that had a certain attachment on it. They had to jump servers.

While I was watching there were a couple good details I suppose! He really likes the barricading system in The Dead Linger, and wants something like that for DayZ by the sound of it. Bows are certainly going to be a thing. Said something about a system for throwing weapons. Want's to animate the well-water pumps Said he really wanted to get the suicide animation in this week, but there were to many bugs. He got to sample some fo the spawning issues, such as certain buildings having no loot, ect, so now he'll know that's a thing!

Can't wait to go on hunting trips up north!
Rudette replied to Johnny Depth's topic in General Discussion
Im hoping for some kind of leather crafting myself! I'd make my living out in the woods!.. occassional treks into town will be the dangerous parts of my adventures! -
It doesn't appear in the new gear section though, so I kind of doubt it! >.> Go play with the B95?

Base Building - What would you like to see?
Rudette replied to thedogfoodyayho's topic in Suggestions
Bear traps. Barbed Wire. Tents. Campfire. It's all I need! >.> How is base building going to be persistent after server restarts though? Private hives or something? -
I like playing dress up with my homicidal dolly. I don't know! Potentially they could keep on releasing things. It depends on how they handle the loot system! Really I just want more leather and fingercut gloves. And a black gasmask of some sort! >.> I might have a gas-mask fetish.

Memory Leak, they are considering hotfixxing it on monday!
-
Fun story! I imagine this was as satisfying as the time I killed a guy who tried to ambush me from a bush with his M4. I doubled back around, and stalked him for a good 20ish minutes. He gave up on looking for me, and predictable as he turned out to be, chose another bush to go prone in. So I snuck up behind him and axed him to death. I didn't just kill this man; I scattered his ashes in the road. His gear too. So that those he would have camped would get his kit. I took the bits I needed, but I left the M4. I have a distaste for that particular weapon.

According to some info I found on Reddit, there is some sort of memory leak! They are considering a hotfix monday! Edit: Oh you beat me to it! ;p

I concur, I have declared similar thoughts many times! It's my belief that DayZ is to become a risk management game. Right now the only risk to manage is other players. You aren't bobbing and weaving or creeping around town to dodge the zombies. You are instead trying to evade the homicide maniacs. There will be many who won't add other players onto the plethora of other things will have to survive/chances they will have to take when more survival mechanics are released. Disease. Hunger. Thirst. Zombies that are a numerous and threatening. Stealth mechanics. Weather/Body temperature. High density zombie infestations in high-end looting areas. Goals that would be safer to group up to accomplish. Even private hives could effect vastly effect how people play. Axe murdering... KoS and Banditry will always be around. Because it's fun. But I think the amount of it will level out some when the game world itself becomes a struggle, when it becomes an entity out to devour us.

Do you have any bad habits from other games you've brought over into DayZ? ,.... One time, I shit you not, I hit F5 while crouching in concealed spot about to sneak into the airfield. I had played Skyrim so much I guess my mind thought: "Ok. Dangerous area. Let's quicksave." After I did I kind of sat there blinking like... What..what did I just do? lol. >.> Another bad habit, is that I tend to get real shifty eyed. Like the Doomguy guys little face by your health bar in Doom. But maybe that helps me more than harms me!
-
Yes. I like reliable weapons. With a used feel to them. Give me a hunting rifle held together with duct tape and clothe wrappings! If she's reliable, she's all I need.
-
So they did add two models! That's pretty sweet.
-
Is that new motorcycle suit/jacket majig in the experimental branch yet? Anyone have any footage of that if it is? >.>

The biggest thing that needs to be implimented into the game is.. The environment. Another opposition aside from other players. Right now it's laughably easy to survive. This is understandable, because the systems just aren't there yet. As I've said before. More survival mechanics and better zombies. That's going to be a lengthy process that requires them to step over the hurdles of technical issues, server stability type stuff, and what have you. They've already made steps towards this with server improvements that will allow for higher frame rates and thus more entities, zombie improved pathing AI, and adjustments to the food/thirst rates. Far from finished. Who knows what new mechanics and they'll implement, camping? Wet/Cold stuff? Everthing has to be balanced around these ideas, and tweaked and adjusted as they come. That sort of project, multilayered as it is, takes time. So in the mean time, getting little awesome things while we wait? I have no problem with that.... And I really don't see why you would, other than ignorance of technical limitations or a hyper-evolved case of ungrateful..

Maybe I'm sick, but, hanging or crucifying people would be a great way of marking my territory.
-
More customization is always better.
-
Smaller Load = Faster movement speed is the way I'd like to see it! Not sure most people will see it that way though. Us melee using backpackless lunatics get to much of a leg up probably >.>
-
It's so pretty. So rustic.

So, as I've stated before elsewhere, I'm not really glue'd to any particular playstyle. BUT.... There is one play-style I indulge more than others. Axe Murdering! A long standing tradition! There is something invigorating about it yes? ... You usually don't just kill your opponent. You screw with their heads first. Nothing beats tracking a target for miles, waiting for him or her to present their vulnerable backside, or get stuck in a bean-eating animation. .. Like when someone goes into an apartment building, never knowing they were being tracked, only to come back down the stairs to see you standing between them and last flight down----A monolithic maniac in clown mask that had seemingly manifested out of thin air. You lunge forward, laughing in proxy a soul siphoning reverberation of the sick anticipation and newly found satisfaction in your macabre indulgence. Anyone have interesting Axe Murderer stories or tactics to share?
-
I probably keep going. But not before making the situation worse if I can. I'm hoping for Molotovs around that time. What's more terrifying for poor bambi than zombies? Flaming Zombies But who knows? Maybe by some miracle I do find a way to save the guy. We laugh. We have a good time. Then when he turns around I axe him in the back of the head and take his beans.
