Dear lord this guy is obviously trolling. That being said dayz isn't ruined by bandits, it's ruined because almost everyone kos' I'd much rather be held up and executed then sniped from a tree line, it makes a much more interesting and tense experience.

Im all about the reddit example of 19.5 hours gews posted. That way its pretty darn realistic without screwing over people who can only play at the same time of day every week.

No I'm quite sure they aren't going to devote resources to restoring characters in an alpha that quite clearly warns you that your character could be lost at any time.

Why trade for one when you can "farm" one from the hills over looking elektro ;)

The other day at the SWAF a buddy and I heard what sounded like an m4 firing for over 5 seconds straight at max rof we booked it the hell out of there. One other time I had a guy appear in front of me and shoot me in the middle of the woods. So two instances of at least potential hacking in around 80 hours game time isn't bad for an fps game.

I'm wondering if the op realizes there is different characters on regular and hardcore...

I would love to be on a 100 slot + server where everyone started as a fresh spawn at the same time, would be absolute chaos on the coast.

I started a journal unfortunately I've only found 1 piece of paper so far. I just wonder if anyone will bother reading it :/

Six_ten your the one not comprehending this thread For someone to ghost/ log out and sneak around you, he would have to switch to another server. He's asking for the removal of the log in timer when logging in to the SAME server. Ghosting wouldn't return, you have to join a different server to move position, doing so would still net you a log in timer

I feel like 90% of the people who responded to this thread didn't bother reading a thing the op wrote. He wasn't asking to completely remove the system, just remove the penalty when logging in to the SAME server. I don't see any down sides to that.

How does this change anything? Aim for the head, or rob them then kill them.

That and the other guys who shot me without a word, yeah pretty much. Might change my stance with the combat log change, theres no reason to rob people right now since they just combat log so maybe the kos mentality will Slightly change.

I had one guy catch me off guard on the crashed ship on the north coast, I had no ammo for my recently found magnum so I complied and put my hands up. I thought to myself finnaly after watching all these cool dayz videos I get an encounter in dayz that doesn't start with shoot first ask questions later. I was genuinely excited to be robbed, will he take my magnum? Will he let me live? so the guys says, hold on hands up, im not going to shoot you I just want to see if your up... *your dead* I immediately bound f2 to taunt never surrender

Kos is already damn near 100% of the people i run into, how can it possibly increase??
