    Rolling Update Rev - 0.43.116251

Devs should wipe all databases with every single update. These updates aren't that frequent, the game is still in Early Alpha so wipes shouldn't cause too much frustration. This would rule out the possibility that something can go wrong just because someone from the players has glitching pipsi or mag in his inventory from version 0.32. Finding gear is not that difficult, anyway. Just my 2 cents.

    Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)

There's one thing which shouldn't be overlooked when introducing "Eat all" to the game. Eating and associated animation should stop when player receives "My stomach feels stuffed" message, but player could continue to eat by pressing "Eat" button. This would save us from situations where you eat too much and vomit, game devs from nags in forums and feedback tracker. (e.g., when you eat all pack of rice (10 portions) via "Eat All", but your stomach has room only for 2 portions.)

    Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)

This Engrish just hurts my eyes and brain. It's not like I'm a grammar nazi or something (English isn't my native language), but sometimes people should use google translate to express themselves clearly and in logical way.

Premium loot -- A balanced proposal to "gearing up"

It's obvious that you will search garages and wrecked cars for spare parts, couldn't be less obvious that guns would be easier found in military objects, prisons, police stations and hunting shops. It still remains a mystery for me why would you need some treasure chests in game. With respawn implemented, game could be easily renamed to "Treasure Hunter". Running around for hours to get some lockpicks and then server hopping to find an unopened treasure chest. My in-game character is 5 days old, has Mosin with PU scope, orange backpack, red hoodie, fireaxe and biker helmet painted in black. Haven't been to NW Airport yet, but already found and left two pristine ballistic helmets, couple M4s. My point is, if you limit your gameplay only to obtaining military gear, you're playing wrong game. You can run around with your shining ultra rare M4, but there always may be someone who wants it more. I still remember the guy with a beret and fancy pimped up M4 with all kinds of attachment, who got a bullet to his back from an unscoped mosin. (I wanted his fancy M4 so badly :D )

Premium loot -- A balanced proposal to "gearing up"

Idk, but wasting your time looking for a special zombie with a key, which may be dead already anyway (eg., someone sniped it from the distance and didn't bother to loot), doesn't sound smart. Why bother looking for a zombie with a key when you have axe, saw or gun in your inventory? DayZ is all about survival, so no quests "Find zombie with a key in Balota", "Find 4 digit vault code" please. DayZ is not a World of Warcraft or AION.
  6. Pressing V while char is sliding down the ladder helped me so far. Char just does a step over and gets knee deep in roof textures, but doesn't die. :) (I'm talking about rooftops of 9 storey buildings in Dubky) Wouldn't it be fun if hive consisted of sectors (2x3, 3x3, 4x4, etc. )? Each sector would have it's own server, cover different part of the map and you could only jump to neighboring sector/server. To make things more crazy, there should be few different map sets or even randomly generated big areas divided in sectors. You'd have to cooperate with other survivors to survive, build bases and protect your stash. It's like TWD, but in Chernarus :)
  7. You can play this game, servers are online ;) But If you don't need content, maybe you should try Gary's Mod, MW3 or BF4? It's sad that sometimes game in ALPHA-state is unplayable, due to desyncs, server lag, etc., but DayZ crew warns about this everywhere. Did you missed it? You did read Steam feedback or community forums, didn't you? :D On Steam: WARNING: THIS GAME IS EARLY ACCESS ALPHA. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVELY SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME AND ARE PREPARED TO HANDLE WITH SERIOUS ISSUES AND POSSIBLE INTERRUPTIONS OF GAME FUNCTIONING. Same warning if you try to buy DayZ via dayzgame.com website (but this time in red box): THIS GAME IS EARLY ACCESS ALPHA. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVELY SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME AND ARE PREPARED TO HANDLE WITH SERIOUS ISSUES AND POSSIBLE INTERRUPTIONS OF GAME FUNCTIONING. Enjoy what you have and hope that the game-play will improve over time.
  8. Don't get attached to your character or gear. Death is part of this game and it's always around you, disguised as a zombie, another player, stairway or a ladder :D Only if it goes *POOF!* after your character dies.
  9. Hoarding is not possible with server hopping and ghosting. In other words, you can be safe defending your camp/base till small group of attackers hop through few servers and spawn just in the middle of your camp/base. (Surprise mother$&@%#*!!!)
  10. Math nazi :D Again, if you look in Wiki, you'll see different types of miles. Italian or metric mile (used in Olympics) is equal to 1500 meters so I couldn't care less that international mile is 1.6 km long :D p.s. For me 1 inch is equal to 2.5cm.
  11. Somehow 1.5 is easier to remember.
  12. Also a slow day for you? :D As a European I use metric system and for me 1 mile is in my head 1 mile was equal to 1.5km, but I promise to check my calculations with google before posting it on DayZ forums :D
  13. Typo :) 100 miles if you take that 1 mile is equal to 1.5km :) According online calcs, it's roughly equal to 87 (86.87) square miles. Anyway, with radius of 5 miles, even when standing in one of the corners of map, you still cover 22.6% of it :) Standing in the center of Chernorus would give you a map coverage equal to 90.4%.
