You are cold but your inventory is bugged and not displaying it. Stay next to a fire for awhile, it'll should fix it, it did for me and many others. however some people are reporting it doesn't work for them so if it doesn't work for you check the bug tracker to see if it's been reported and if there's any other suggestions the player base have come up with.

I'd love to see the source of these numbers, even more so when you add "in fact" to the start of it.

Ah right gotcha now, there's a difference between global and direct.

I'm not going to waste my time reading all these comments so if this has been said before then what ever. You can still be cold with out the indicator shown in your inventory or the text saying "I am shaking" shown on screen, that is a bug. What you need to do is make a fire and stay there until you get the "hot" indicator in your inventory. This can take some time in this patch as I personally have notice fires take much longer to warm and dry you (if you're wet) This has happened to me and the only way I fixed it was by sitting at a fire for awhile.

Well there's your problem pumpkin, you can't use global if you used global then you must have logged into the admin thingy in the server and if you're not the server owner then you shouldn't be able to do that.

They will always be badmins, no matter what game you play. If you can rent a server then you'll get badmins.

What good is it to "rant" about bugs in a game that is still under development? You already know about the bug tracker so I'm going to assume you've looked on there for a possible fix if none of the ones you've mentioned have worked? If not then maybe make your own ticket there.

Just because it didn't work for you doesn't make it incorrect. As I've said in another thread I had the exact same thing and sat by a fire fixed it. I've noticed in 0.52 that fires are taking longer to warm you up. I sat by a fire for ages and didn't notice any change, I just ignored the fact I was wet and cold until the status changed to dark orange freezing, so I made another fire and sat there for a good 30 or 40 minutes and finally got to "hot" status.

Yeh go make a fire sit by it for like 30 minutes (I've noticed fires takes longer to warm you this patch) and the jittering should stop, worked for me.

They are working, just seems to take longer.

This, I had the same thing and the only thing that fixed it was by sitting by the fire.

There's a few things that you need to be aware of. 1: Being private and public servers, 1st/3rd person servers and 1st person only servers. 2: The DDOS attacks yesterday, if you played during that time and if the servers connected to the main hive could have wiped your previous saved data. 3: Bugged servers (Should be reported) that are failing to connect to the main hive thus making you start fresh every time. Continuing to play on said servers and if the server so happens to get a connection to the hive while you're still on the server, your new default will override your previous character. 4: Joining a server that has just restarted can cause you to wipe (make sure the server has been up and running for a good few minutes after a restart. 4: Just plain bad luck, it happens some times you just get wiped, it's a known bug and has happened to many people, myself included.

I've been logged in for the past 3 hours (EU as well) and I've had no problems, also have a lot of friends who are still online and a friend who just logged on about an hour ago, all seems to be working fine.

So anyone know who's behind it and why?

Ah maybe so but you failed to consider that it's now winter time here in the UK so you need to add an hour to that. Not only that every time I play (I'm a night owl so up all night sleep all day) on a Tuesday night / Wednesday morning the servers always go down about 06:50am

To answer your question in the title. When an item is picked up a new item will spawn in a different location. As for server hopping, let me know where you server hop and I'll teach you all about server hopping.

I fail to see what's so amazing about killing a new spawn who, by your words, had nothing.

So I was playing some DayZ, looting houses alone the coast from just outside Cherno to Elektro I got as far as Pik Kozlova when I started to hear this strange crying sound. My first thoughts was someone had seen me and thought to have a little fun, but that thought went just as quick as it came when I realised that the sound wasn't coming from any particular direction when I heard it for the second time, but this time I had my fraps on. I then thought maybe I left my browser open and some video started playing, highly unlikely seeing as I have an ad blocker add-on installed, but then maybe I left steam browser open?.... Nope, it's closed, well maybe it's someone has found a way to get into global chat? This all happened a few hours ago, didn't really think more of it as I was sure it was some dude who managed to get on direct chat but then I just watched a video on YouTube and there it was, the same strange crying noise. So I quickly got a short video uploaded in an attempt that you guys may know something. Just watch this short (40 seconds) video and please tell me what the f**k that is.

I did eat it, didn't know what it was until after I cooked lol, but like I said it was either eat it or die of starvation or die of hypothermia, the irony is I died a few minutes later and when I respawned that's when the sound started, so to me, it's bugged as since I'm dead my char should have been reset from everything.

Well as you can see I'm a new spawn, however before I died before this I did come across some guy who offered to cook me some meat, sadly though the server started but thanks to persistent storage, the camp fire and meat was still there (he dude didn't return) so of course freezing and starving to death I cooked it warmed myself up then left for Kamy where some dude managed to knock me out despite taking at least 5 hits from my sledgehammer (he attacked me by the way) he then used the hammer on me to finish the job, I respawned just outside Cherno so started looting up again. If this is due to eating human flesh then it's a little buggy.

The game hasn't been optimised yet and as far as I understand it, the game is very dependent on CPU rather than GPU. I hope this sheds some light on it for you.
